I came here for breakfast and got bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. They had a variety of cheeses to pick from. They had no sausage or rolls . They gave me only 2 slices of bacon. The egg however? Looks like a yellow sponge. That " egg" that fast food places put in their breakfast sandwiches. Picture posted to show the egg. Doesn't have the taste or texture of an egg. I usually don't drink coffee but I had to come by Crafted Kup because of all it's hype. It didn't let me down. I came right when they opened on a Saturday morning and was able to find street parking right next to the coffee shop. There wasn't a huge line (granted it was 9am on a Sunday) and I was able to order right away. I got the Americano (3) and the Egg Sandwich (5) with bacon. Super affordable prices right there. The Americano had a great rich flavor and they offered oat milk on the side for us lactose intolerance peeps, which I loved. The Egg part of my Egg Sandwich wasn't my favorite, seemed like it was just heated up in the back as a patty or something, but the bagel was good. They had a couple of different flavors to chose from- plain, everything, etc. The inside was also beautiful with dark wooden floors and metal railing. If it wasn't during the pandemic, I could definitely see myself coming here as my to go stop to study for the afternoon. I recently discovered this awesome coffee shop while I was visiting a couple of shops nearby and I LOVE the pumpkin spice latte! I loved it so much that I've been going out of my way to visit the other shop inside the Galleria just to have one! First, everyone here is so nice and they always make my day. Second, the food and coffee is really good! I love the lattes. The service is pretty quick, if you order a drink you wait for it up by the counter and if you order food, you can eat in the restaurant and get a table number. This is my favorite coffee shop in Poughkeepsie! The aesthetic inside is very nice and the space is always clean. However, it can be difficult to find a seat on the weekends when a lot of students are there studying. For me, I like going there after my classes during the week when it's less crowded. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the music playing inside is a bit too loud for a coffee shop. I have been to both locations of CK. Love their overall look and definitely a fan of their coffee shakes. I appreciate that I can see them putting actual espresso into the drinks unlike other places that use powdered coffee and cover everything up with whipped cream. However there unfortunately is a hit or miss on friendly service. When the owner is around everyone seems more chipper and polite but take away that factor and it's usually no smile or rude 'do you know what you want' attitudes. On my recent visit to the mall location I ordered a mocha coffee shake. But when I received it I was informed that they no longer are using straws and instead have the cold drink lids with larger holes to sip from. I thought it was a great idea to become more eco friendly.... but then I actually attempted to drink my coffee shake. Big mistake. The blended part of the drink clumped together and when I tipped my cup to drink the slush hit my lips first and made a mess of the lid. Not fun especially if you are wearing a white shirt. Although paper straws have a limited amount of time before they get soggy and limp I suggest going that route. To avoid making visits awkward for customers. My boyfriend and I just ended up getting a straw from one of the other business in the food court. So kind of pointless really. read more

Crafted Kup is a staple for students in the area, but I've neglected it this academic year for some reason. I'm rapidly changing that, though, and twice this week have braved the unseasonable cold for the Kup. I think one thing that stopped students and others from coming was the cramped space, but that is no more. The shop expanded to more than double the size. I can see why some might miss the "coziness" of this but trust me, on a Sunday morning it still feels plenty cozy. The space was one thing that deterred me, but now it encourages me to go. The drinks are delicious. As a black coffee drinker, I have tried the light and medium roasts of the organic drip (so far). They're both smooth and rich, and I definitely go back for refills ($1)! I have also tried a matcha latte, which no joke is one of the best I've ever had. Please don't think the sugary green water Starbucks serves is good-- try the Kup's, not too earthy but not too sweet (so, perfect). I have not tried coffee lattes, but my friend can't sing their praises enough as well. The one drawback would be the price. I can see why students on a meal plan would not want to pay so much for drinks. I can see that too, but I think as someone who wants to support local business and wants a comfortable place to work, I think it's more than worth it. I think the Kup would also benefit from more food options, though they have enough breakfast fare to satisfy. Perhaps breakfast sandwiches can be added to the menu? read more

It was slightly challenging to find this place, as the map location on Yelp isn't entirely accurate. It's where you'd expect it to be, in the little strip of small business that line this area, not in the middle of Vassar. Anyway, once I figured this out, I ordered an Iced Chai and an Everything bagel with their Honey Cinnamon butter. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and chai is my go-to when I'm at coffee shops like this. The chai was defiantly good, but had a little bit of a bite to it. I'm not sure what that was, maybe too much of one of the spices in the mix. It wasn't unpleasant, just surprising. The bagel was good, not great. It's certainly a New York bagel but if you're looking for the real deal kind of bagel shop New York bagel this isn't the place for you. The Honey Cinnamon butter was really delightful, very tasty, and added a lot of dimension to the everything bagel. If I return here in the future I'll be sure to get it again. My wife and I visited this location and had the most horrible experience on every level of customer service. I had an appointment within an hour and we wanted something to eat so we picked this place. They were moderately busy but the staff acted like they we being put out by having customers. I had q short time period so after waiting in line for about 10 minutes to move up one customer I left my wife there in line and went to another location and got a sandwich in 10 minutes. I returned and she had just seated herself and was waiting for her $30 sandwich. I sat with her and started to eat what I had purchased elsewhere and a muffin my wife had bought there, . 10 minutes later her food arrives and the server asks me to leave because they do not allow outside food in. BTW, not sure why anyone would want to sit here for the atmosphere, people waiting in line are standing right next to your little table. Iam a retired Marine and follow the rules but in this case an inflexible policy that cares absolutely nothing about customers and only wants to execute vindictive power is unreasonable.Remeber my wife did buy food there and if they had not been so so slow in taking orders and them making the sandwich I most likely would have purchased there too.
