I love this place! Kind of like a "Chipotle" for sushi and poke. I've ordered the poke bowl with raw tuna and crab mix a few times and it is always fresh, never fishy. Everything is fresh and the portions are very generous, I always leave full. They give you 3 scoops of rice in each bowl, so I do half rice and half salad (still incredibly filling). It is located to the north of Mercy Hospital and has parking in the rear of the building. You can enter from the rear parking lot or the entrance facing Sunshine. My wife ordered a beef bowl with crab and avocado with other veggies and the spicy mayo sauce. She raved about her meal. They messed up on my order twice and I had to drive back each time. The first time I went back for them to fix it they put stuff on my bowl, I would never order. Plus even the way it looked in my bowl, was so unappealing. Went here for the first time after driving by countless times wanting to go in! I'm glad that I did! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure what to get since it was my first time getting poke but they all gave me great suggestions and it was DELICIOUS!! I created my own bowl with half salmon and half tuna. The veggies/ add on's are limitless and also very yummy!! I wasn't sure which sauce would be best with what I had but the employee suggested two that were SO GOOD. I believe she said one was like an eel sauce and the other a yummy sauce. My boyfriend got the mermaid bowl and loved it!! They were not my cup of tea. They roll the sushi in front of you, but the rice was honestly very mushy instead of firm and that alone made it have not a very appetizing lunch. The other fact that they only use raw fish is very sickening to me. It takes a lot for me to trust raw meat like that. And the people just seemed inexperienced too. First, it's confusing. You walk in, you need to look up at a menu board that is way above your head (and then behind you when you talk to the employee) You try and remember what you want. Then you need to talk to the person on the other side of a tall glass partition. It's not the best set up. More signage!!! They just need to bite the bullet and buy silverware. There are tiny, plastic forks and no knives. I brought my own knife to cut my lettuce for my bowl. It's very loud: They need to add a drop ceiling or sound buffering panels. I don't think that this is a chain, because these are issues that a chain resturant would have solved years ago. I would love to eat here again, but not when it's busy and loud. This place was pretty good! I met a friend here for lunch recently. I had the poke bowl with soba noodles as my base and tuna as my meat. As you can see in my picture, I enjoyed adding all the vegetables they had. I think I put everything in the bowl that did not cost extra. I recommend getting the mushrooms, cucumbers, and the jalapeños for sure. I really liked the crispy texture of the veggies with the soba noodles and tuna. I also smothered mine with the sriracha mayo and sweet chili sauce. In hindsight, I would not get that combo again. Probably just one or the other in the sauce department. The food was delicious and fresh. I thought at first that this would not be a very filling meal but I was pretty full once I finished my bowl. I thought the price was reasonable at $10 for the tuna bowl and the portion, like I said was perfect. I will come back and try some of the other protein offerings in the future. read more

We tried to order online because the website said we were able to, but when we clicked into it, it wouldn't let us order online. Then we decided to drive there, and to our disappointment there were about 40 people in line, with many groups bunched together near the register and not socially distancing at all. They seemed like college students from Missouri State. It posed a very serious health risk and we didn't want to deal with the long lines so we decided to not go. I was in town to see family and I had just had a terrible sushi experience back home so I was super excited when my sushi expert sister took me here. The choices were so exciting! Like the other reviewers said, it can be hard to read the menus in line but it was harder to choose from all the tasty things! I got a tuna bowl with white rice and LOTS of goodies. Wasabi mayo is awesome. Tempura crunchies are can't miss. The tuna was fresh, abundant and delicious. I was stuffed before I got to the end of the bowl. Loved the fresh apple and daikon. Mr. Husband got a roll with salmon and it was just as good. Everyone working there was attentive and nice. The mango tea was super tasty and refreshing. Even though the space was small and there were lots of people it didn't feel too over crowded or loud. Oh! And the mushrooms which was the veggie seasonal item were so good as well. Slightly underwhelmed by this place. The idea of it is super cool, but the execution is kinda like fast food for sushi... I got the spicy tuna roll and the philly roll and my friend got the "I'm craving Korean" roll and the California roll. The philly roll had a good flavor but the salmon was diced up so it kinda slimed out of the piece when you ate it. Same with the spicy tuna roll, and presentation was kinda weird (see picture). The Korean roll was really good! A little big so it was hard to appreciate because you were trying not to choke on such a large bite of food, but the flavors were really good! Definitely favorite! The California roll was pretty standard, but the wasabi mayo on it was a great addition! It was nice to have a different take on a roll that can sometimes be really bland. The service was great, and it's really cool to be able to watch them make your food! Drink options are limited but they have some cool different teas. Atmosphere was super hip and modern, with nice natural light and a clean feel. It's not my favorite spot for sushi, but I will most likely come back to try my hand at a custom roll or bowl! This was my second visit. I ordered off their menu this time. Old Bay Roll and a California roll with crunchy tempura on top. I was not able to eat it all but since I was super hungry I got two rolls instead if one. I did notice several folks from the hospital across the street getting the poke bowls and heading back to work. My issue at many sushi places is the size of the cut. These are about right. They were big enough to be full of flavor and small enough to be able to chew reasonably. Everything was super fresh. The apples and cucumbers were firm and crunchy. The seafood had nary a bit of smell. Everything tasted fresh and was yummy. I remember to bring my plastic cup from my first visit so I got a dollar twenty-five off of my tea today. Two stars for the sushi, which certainly looked okay but tasted like grocery store sushi, with the fish not as fresh as we could have had elsewhere. My husband and I shared four rolls, one with tuna, one with salmon, one with crab, and a California roll. The rolls were a very generous size, and the California roll was a winner, but the crab didn't have a crab flavor, the same with the tuna and salmon, no distinctive flavor--a real disappointment. Again, perhaps it was a freshness issue. Perhaps our expectations were too high. It is FAST FOOD after all, yet it is rather expensive fast food, and for that money I expect more flavor.
