This was a really fun spot with a lot of beer options. We stopped in during "off hours" so well after lunch and before the evening so there was plenty of seating. There are also a lot of TVs if you are looking for a spot to watch any sports games. Service was quick and we didn't have a long wait for any food or drinks. The fries were great and I would get those again. Overall a fun spot and I would stop by again if i am in the area.

Food and beer (ipa) were delicious, Sunday evening was happy hour so we ordered all our food off the happy hour menu. Server was very friendly . We are visiting from the US. We had just arrived and this was our first meal. We enjoyed it.

When I first heard about Craft Beer Market in Calgary, I was very excited. I love my craft beer and every local I spoke to mentioned Craft as the place to visit. The atmosphere is great, especially up on the patio, and the beer selection is one of the best in the city. But I highly recommend coming at night. This three story restaurant is dead during the daytime and you just won't have the chance to get the full experience with some of the floors closed off for lunch. The Vegan Cali Bowl was mildly entertaining in its plating but the highlight of the dish was the Thai sauce. It definitely made me feel like I was eating something signature instead of simple vegetables on top of some rice thrown in there for good measure. Servers were kind but certainly more interested in talking to one another than caring for the busy table tops. If you're looking for a place to grab some light bites and drinks on a Saturday night, this place will definitely do it for you! OVERALL: 3/5 Service: 2.5/5 Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 but 5/5 in the evening!

Cool booth seating area at Craft. They have a rooftop too, I believe.

Great ambience and neat looking place. We were there for the late night happy hour and good the Mac n cheese (big serving) and the yam fries (pretty small) and both were really good. Lots and lots of beer choices and good service. The only thing, is I think they should've asked a guy that was too drunk, to leave-he was loud and seemed to be a little inappropriate with people-otherwise great place

Beer and mellow vibe. The place is huge and fairly emptied when we came. They have beers and cocktails. The beer was pretty tasty, I think I got one of their IPAs. We also ordered the cookies and ice cream dessert. Cookie was kind of hard but ice cream was good! Yum!

Try it! So yummy! Very small tho

Love the refurbed warehouse open concept, but it is not well executed. Bad lighting, loud reverb, awkward seating, cigarette smoke wafting in... what a shame! Same offerings as the Edmonton location and you can add to your beer 'passport' here as well (if it works, that is). The Calgary venue is larger (Edmonton's upstairs patio notwithstanding) but much less cozy and friendly. The two of us were seated upstairs at an awkward split table meant as a 6-top, where the lighting was terrible. Service was OK, but how frustrating is it for the servers and guests to have to yell to be heard and to repeat themselves? The cig smoke was annoying in a 'seriously what decade are we in' kinda way. Music was so loud at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday that we elected to stick to drinks and eat elsewhere. Then the NHL playoffs on TV were changed over to Entertainment Tonight, WTF? We were happy to get out. Such a miss!! The Edmonton location does it better IMO. Great beer, great food, but crap ambience, we won't be back.

Great atmosphere and great staff. We came straight from the airport to Craft Beer Market and they did not disappoint. Kids were welcomed and great food and beer. Will highly recommend to anyone exploring the area!

    Seriously?

Nice place for drinks... there are so many options for beers and it's becoming difficult to decide what you want. At least the menu is separated by kind of beer :) red, dark and so on... I prefer dark beer, Black Smith was the good choice for me... so.. if you are hungry and you like burgers, they have good options as well.. I loved the Blue cheese and bacon, it was so good and believe or not, they are big lol and you can choose the side between fries or small salad :) if you need help with the menu you can ask help for the waitress. The service was really good, she was so helpful and she knows the menu well.. I don't have any complains. So I hope you guys like the place like I did and thank you for reading my review. P.s.: when I did the check in on the yelp I just got an hi five from the bartender :/ too sad it was not a drink :(

Was happy to find a Steam Whistle beer in Calgary but we were kind of left to our own vices here. Wasn't too busy but seems like a lot going on. I guess it's like a club of some kind, or something, I couldn't really figure it out. BUT they had a massive tapped beer list and I had some pretty solid local beers. This was the end of the night so I could have just been over it, but had a good time. IF you're looking to find a lot of taps and a lot of local, here's your spot.

Oh My God!! This place is insane...when ur body craves for positive vibes and soul craves crafted beer and good food then look no further... I was a walk in on Friday Evening and took about 15 mins, they have an amazing patio, but I guess I rather enjoyed being at the bar cos the bartenders and servers are just these amazing people..make sure to meet Chantel and Quinn and the rest of the gang Keelan and Tory. They will take such good care of you, understand ur palette for beer and serve you exactly what u love. I guess I'll certainly be a regular here cos of my server friends. The only bit where they can Improve is the music, it was good but can be better, the DJ needs to change the genres a bit more smoothly and not so constantly. Food: 4/5 Happy hour Pricing: 4.5/5 Food quality: 4/5 Food quantity: 4/5 Staff: 5/5 Overall 4/5 Do I recommend this place....Hell Yeas!!

Here's what we ordered: Mango boba - surprisingly tart and could've used a bit of sweetness Peanut chicken salad - flavorful and refreshing, with noodles at the bottom Fish tacos with sweet potato fries - the beer-battered fish was crispy and delicious While the food was solid and the patio atmosphere was great, the service really impacted our experience. When we were ready to pay, it was difficult to get our server's attention. My husband eventually had to approach her across the patio, and she processed our payment while standing right there. It seemed like they were short-staffed the day we visited, which might explain the delays, but the lack of attention was still frustrating. Overall, good food and a nice setting, but I'd give it 3.5 stars due to the service issues

Food here is just alright. Fish tacos weren't bad but the fish wasn't crispy at all. The quasedilla "tortilla" was a little thick. The meat in the BBQ rice bowl was pretty good, but the ratio of rice to everything else was too high. The salad was pretty good and quite a large serving. We had A LOT of trouble flagging down our waitress, especially near the end when we were ready to pay, which was quite frustrating and the main reason I'm docking stars. However, I will say the setup outside is really nice. There are hanging plants, pretty large tables, music that's not too loud, and overall a nice vibe. I think for a slow, casual evening out this place will have you covered.

Good music, nice bar and beer assortment, variety on the menu and wacky decor. Server was quick and helped us pick out what to try. The "bucket of bacon" appetizer was good, and the right amount for the 3 of us. I tried the traditional poutine and was a little disappointed as I thought it was a bit bland. Not sure if that's just how it is, or this place was a little off. Fun dinner, not expensive. They also have a crazy poutine challenge but our server wasn't clear on what you won if you finished it, so we passed. Fun place to check out if you get the chance!

The first thing you notice are the decorations that are all over the place that tells you this is Calgary . We were greeted very promptly by a pleasant gentleman who knew everything that was on the menu. my brother and i shared a buffalo chicken taquitos. i was concerned that this might be too spicy but it was just right . it had flavor but fire was not coming out of your mouth . As for the mains, i had smashburger with 2 patties and got waffle fries while my brother got the mac and cheese. which he says melted in his mouth and might have been the best mac and cheese he has had this year. Another thing make Leopold's stand out as it has tv every where. This is the first place that actually focussed on the Winter Olympics focussing on all the events. for those of you who don't know Calgary hosted the winter olympics in 1988 but you would not know it this week throughout the city. Not one sign or notice to tell you about. That said Leopolds is a place you can go after a long work week, listen to some country tunes watch sports and have a super meal. As we wandered trying to decide where to begin, we found ourselves looking in the windows of the Social Beer Haus and their sidewalk sign had Caesars on special. I was unaware of this establishment and discovered from Yelp that it is relatively new. We were greeted and quickly seated immediately noticing that the establishment is very large - essentially two rooms. The place is very open and modern! There was not much happening, as we were in early - just after 11:00 am. As I sipped my Caesar and the Missus sipped her $5.00 sleeve of Steam Whistle, we perused the menu to which we discovered featured a full spread of smokehouse items! Meats by the half pound with upgraded sides and a variety of sandwiches and burgers. I ordered the "Boy Named Sue" burger and the Missus had the club house (it had a clever name, but I cannot recall it). While waiting for the meal, we visited with the general manager - my Missus plans her companies events, so she inquired about private bookings which are possible. The Social Beer Haus website provides info on a number of "floor plans" and menu options for private parties. The food arrived and it looked amazing! Hot and fresh - presented on what seems to be a smokehouse standard baking sheet covered in butcher paper - fine dining this place is not. The fried jalapeno, gives you a little "bitch slap" with every bite which would make the Man in Black proud. I added an ice cold pint of PBR to top off the meal. I stole a couple bites of the Missus' club sando and it was delish - especially the bacon. All in all, the food was tasty and the portioning was filling. The Missus and I were boring in choosing the standard fries for sides, but there were upgrades like mac and cheese etc for an additional charge. Some of the other reviewers were disappointed in that they were expecting Haus in the name of the establishment. I saw "Social" and Beer" and didn't even notice Haus. You could get a smoked link - that is close to bratwurst I suppose. All in, it sounds like this place is busy during the evenings. It is worth checking out!
