My food was made to order no complaint there. However, because it was a DoorDash order they did not give me any plasticware which was very important being as though I'm on holiday. I also asked for a "large" orange juice, which I was charged $5 for, but the larger looked "small". Even my Dasher said he questioned this, but the workers insisted this was right size. Lastly the store worker that completed my order, knew this was a "ToGo" order, so why give me more than 1 mini syrp for 3 pancakes, and no salt or pepper packets or no napkins!? It's like the condiments was an after through. This made it very hard to enjoy hunting down these necessities to eat your food.

I was visiting from out of town and wanted to try this place out. You enter through a gift shop and wait at the entrance inside for a table. The server was very nice and informative. I got the hashbrown casserole and it was seasoned well and tasty. It was nice to try something new and I think I prefer this chain over Denny's. The service was great and it was nice walking around the shop afterward.

Went here on Thursday September 26th 2024 with my parents as part of our south carolina vacation. This is our first time at this location, but essentially, if you've been in one cracker barrel, you've been in them all! We went directly to the host stand located in the back. We were immediately sat down at a table. Side note is that we went for breakfast, luckily they do breakfast all day. and it was in the back of the lunch menu. We all started with 3 waters, and 2 coffees. I tried their new cinnamon latte in an ice form with whipped cream. I thought that it was pretty good. Waitress was very nice and constantly refilled our coffees, and waters. We ordered as follows: my mom got the mamma's breakfast with scrambled eggs and impossible sausage, my dad got the french toast casserole which was new, and i got a short stack of pancakes with impossible sausage. Impossible sausage is their plant based sausage patty, which i thought was pretty good! All of our breakfast was delicous and came out in a timely manner. Waitress was also quick to get our check, and always made sure we were happy. Left a cash tip on the table, and paid up front. Store is huge and has some nice stuff, although a little pricy. Restrooms were also clean. Hope to be back on our next trip!

I had the steak and Egg N' Cheese Hashbrown Casserole and it was soooooo delicious!!!!

Im yet to have a bad meal at Cracker Barrel... It is comfy food for me and everyone is so nice! I mean who cannot resist browsing at their store? Not even me!

This was my very first time visiting a Cracker Barrel and I can confidently say I am a fan! The food was great. It felt like a home cooked meal in the best of ways. I got the fried chicken with three sides. I got the macaroni and cheese, green beans and fried apples. The apples were amazing. I wish I could've gotten a whole bucket to go! My order also came with a choice of either biscuits or corn bread. I chose the cornbread, and while it wasn't the best cornbread I've ever had, I also can't complain about it. There was so much food I couldn't finish everything. Next time, I'd probably stick to the two sides, but the sides were my favorite part of the whole meal, so maybe not. While we didn't wait, by the time we were leaving it did seem to be more crowded and I think a few people were waiting for a table. Also a side note: despite the name I was shocked that there was an actual store attached to the restaurant. The store was filled with typical gift shop toys and merchandise, but also a ton of throw back candy. I was lucky that we were seated right away or I probably would have bought some.

After landing at Myrtle Beach International Airport, my friend and I headed straight to Simply…read moreSouthern Smokehouse for lunch--and it was the perfect way to experience Southern hospitality. If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

Pulled Pork was acceptable with a lot of BBQ sauce. Collard Greens were OK. Grits were not bad ! If you like banana cream pie/pudding, there's was pretty good!! I would not return. We ordered two plates, and tried both the fried livers and the fried gizzards, and both were very solid with good seasoning and good crisp. We also thought that the mashed potatoes, candied yams, and the rice & gravy were all very abundant and seasoned very well. The peach cobbler was also a hit with the right amount of consistency and sweentess. The beignets were a pleasant surprise because we had never tried them with honey and after trying it that way, we could be down with it. On the other hand, the shrimp with grits had extremely plain grits and extremely salty shrimp, and mixing them altogether definitely made the dish tasted more balanced but it didn't change the fact that the shrimp was still salty and the grits didn't catch too much of the salt on the shrimp. The fried okra had soggy outer shell. The gumbo was a bit watery and didn't have enough roux, and the rice included was soggy which seemed like it was out for a while and heated up. Aside from food, it was worth noting that we were initially placed on the list and were told that we'd receive a text upon a table ready, and unfortunately we never received one, despite seeing people that came in later getting tables. After we went back inside 30 minutes later to see what happened, they didn't give us an explanation, but managed to get us the next table. This anecdote made us confused when we first sat down, but we decided to no longer worry about what happened and was in a mood ready to dine.

I used to review restaurants for a daily newspaper, so I know how to be critical. The trouble with Judy Boone's is that there's nothing to criticize; except for maybe the wait which is justified. We were there for BBQ night, with our 19 and 22 year old sons. My youngest left a pile of rib bones as high as his head. My oldest discovered that he really likes fried pork chops and proceeded to eat four. I had popcorn shrimp, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, pulled pork, green beans, chicken bog, sweet potatoes and later peach pudding. Each was extraordinary; not just extraordinary, the sort of food that makes you gasp and how amazing it tastes, each commanding your attention and demanding to be your new favorite. I can only assume the chefs here are wizards. Our server was warm and friendly without being obtrusive. I think that's a tough line to walk. The decor is charming and evocative. There's just something magical about it, especially as a man from the north. Maybe this is all normal for South Carolina, but I suspect not. Locals are so lucky to have this in their area and me and my family have found a new vacation 'must stop' for future trips to Myrtle Beach.

It was a very different take on grilled cheese, but also absolutely delightful!! I believe you can't go wrong with bacon and fig jam on sourdough bread. She joked she should get one of our kids a pitcher. We had the fried chicken, the fried pork chop, chicken dumplings, and the BBQ ribs. Our favorite were the ribs. The sides were a hit. We got the fried okra, the mashed potatoes, the mac and cheese, green beans and fries. For the additional side it is $2.99 a person. Honestly, I felt the sides were so tasty & better than some of the meat dishes. The fried pork chop and the chicken and dumplings were not a hit at our table, but we did devour the fried chicken and get an extra order of ribs. We had no idea that this was a bottomless refill, but I don't know how anyone orders more than one extra entree because the portions are huge and quite filling. We were lucky to get a table close to the window so we could have a nice view. All of the workers were courteous & kind. If you are super hungry & have a larger party, you have to come here at least once, while visiting Broadway at the Beach. They also brought out biscuits to our table while waiting for our food, and those are hefty and warm. Hooray for another good Southern eatery during our visit to Myrtle Beach.
