No gravy for chicken fried chicken, other meal not what I ordered

Worst experience I have ever had at a Cracker Barrel...placed order at 7:20pm, said order would be ready at 7:45pm. Arrived at 7:40pm to shop in the store, at 8pm I asked the lady bringing out orders about mine and she said she would check on it. Came back and said they were putting a rush on it and it would be 15mins and apologized. I said that was fine and patiently waited. At 8:25pm I'm still waiting and people that came in after me that have gone in and sat down, eaten their meal and are now checking out and I am getting very frustrated...because now it has been an hour since i ordered. The girl running pickup orders comes out and I head towards her and she said this isn't your order...2 other people that ordered after me in the store after I arrived at 7:45pm are getting their orders now at 8:30pm...I hear her mention that she was sorry for the wait and they got the last of the biscuits. At 8:56pm I FINALLY get my order. I walk out the doors and decided to look in my bag and there are two plates...no silverware, napkins, condiments, and no bread. I go back into the store and talk to the lady at the podium and tell her I didn't receive everything. She asks for my receipt and does to the kitchen. Out comes the same girl that was running orders back and forth...I told her that it shows on the invoice that they checked off everything being in the bag on the invoice but that only the meals were in it. I said it says you're out of biscuits do you not have cornbread to substitute? She said they are out of bread...I said well can I at least get some silverware? She brought it and I left...other people heard her tell me they had no bread, and asked me on my way out and I told them that was correct and they decided to leave as well. I get out to my rv and pull everything out to eat....THERE IS NO GRAVY FOR THE CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN...and my fried chicken is also chicken fried chicken ugh! The meal was very good but did not get what I order for my meal and had NO GRAVY for the chicken fried chicken. We love Cracker Barrel but will never stop at this location again. I received no other apologies for the delay or for being patient and understanding at all! I have a restaurant myself and hated to write a review like this...but it was absolutely ridiculous!

Hooray for Cracker Barrel and their unwavering support of the RV life. Yes, you can spend the night in your camper in the Cracker Barrel parking lot. They'd like you to please make a purchase as a thanks for their hospitality but it's not required. I arrived well after they closed and I was on my way well before they opened so there wasn't a meal purchased tonight. But next time for sure! [Review 1335 of 2024 - 254 in Ohio - 22358 overall]

The service was very good and the food was amazing. Easy parking and the decoration was great. It was like eating in an old movie lol. Loved it!

Just drove through an apocalyptic hail storm heading from Cincinnati to Cleveland, and decided to stop into this Cracker Barrel for some much needed comfort food. The food was delicious (as it always is), and the staff were friendly and moved with a sense of urgency. The most amazing thing happened though. When our server came to check on us she told us that someone had paid our entire bill! They asked to remain anonymous, but if that awesome person happens to read this review, we want to thank them for proving that there are still good people in the world! Thank you whoever you are!! We will continue to pay it forward.

Slowest service ever. Never did get our food, lots of empty tables, and lots of people left because they couldn't get seated.

Food was delicious! My goodness!…read more We were running late to a race in the Canal Fulton area and were both starving. I hopped on Yelp, saw Oak Park Tavern was open, and said, "Hey, let's give it a try." Thank goodness we did! We were greeted warmly by both the staff and customers who were enjoying a late-night ballgame. We arrived well after the dinner rush--easily four hours later--and only about 50 minutes before closing. Despite that, the atmosphere was welcoming, the service was outstanding, and we never felt rushed. The walls were adorned with hand-drawn battlefield crosses and messages honoring the fallen and supporting our service members. As someone who deeply appreciates that commitment, it resonated with me. I struck up a conversation with the bartender and learned that his son is a Marine. His pride in supporting veterans and active-duty service members was evident and appreciated. Sarah, our waitress, was friendly, kind, and attentive despite the late hour. She smiled, laughed with us, and made us feel right at home. Now, the food! The lobster dish was fantastic--perfectly seasoned and served with a delicious sauce. The seafood entrée I ordered was outstanding, and the wedge salad was absolutely top-tier. I love a good wedge salad, and this one exceeded expectations. My wife, Juliann, loved her New York Strip, which was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The cocktails were excellent as well. Thank you all for an amazing visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're passing through!

I want to thank Marcin Szymañski for buying Daniel and I lunch…read more We were supposed to go to Weiner King on Friday after our trip to our new Internist in Ashland, but I was too exhausted from the 1 hour round trip to Ashland and the stop at University Hospital Samaritan Hospital for Daniel's bloodwork. Weiner King is on the edge of closing (back in 2016, the manager/owner had some heart issues and his friends and customers remodeled the restaurant for him and they had a grand reopening...now in 2018, his father has been in a nursing home and the manager/owner's siblings have been pushing him to sell to get their portion of their legacy from their father out of the business...so the manager/owner is trying to buy out his siblings interests). We have wanted to go, but according to Google they did not take credit cards, and we never have cash once the bills are paid. So we could never afford to go. With Daniel sad that another aspect of his childhood was perhaps going out of business he wanted to see them at least one last time. Google gave us another it of bad data and said they opened at 10:30 (they opened at 11:00). Well we went to Daniel's doctor appointment for his surgical consult, and met with the staff of my Cardiologist for Daniel to make an appointment (they received his referal this morning in the computer). Then we went to Kroger for prescriptions and the other stuff Daniel will need to prep for surgery on Monday. Then we went to Weiner King and pulled in around 09:45. So we waited for the place to open (this is when I saw the sign that said it opened at 11:00...and I had Daniel get out to verify since my left eye is my bad one that changed 2 powers weaker since my glasses a year ago). So we waited. The manager/owner arrived around 10:00 to get the place set up for the day...he came out in a jovial manner and asked if we were lost...and to let us know he does not open until 11:00. Told him we did not mind waiting, no rush. Daniel and I each had a "Weiner King Special" (chili cheese dog with mustard and cole slaw, but swapped sauerkraut for the slaw on both since Daniel is not a fan of slaw). I had fries and Daniel had onion rings. He had a Pepsi and I had a Root Beer. All were excellent for what we had. Some of the freshest and best prepared food we have ever had from a similar joint. For desert we had their "Fried Apple Pie Sunday" with sort of a "McDonald's Type" fried apple pie (but much better) with sugar coated pecans I believe, some Carmel syrup, and covered with soft serve. We also split an order of funnel cake fries. The desert cost more than the meal, but it was worth every penny. I am a pessimist, I RARELY give a "five star" rating to anything. But this place deserved every bit of it. The service by the manager/owner and his cook/waitress was what you would expect at the best of diners. The friendliness and humor were well appreciated by both Daniel and I. Being disabled, I have had plenty of bad service and people acting like I am mentally disabled just because I'd a physical disability (lifetime MENSA membership and two Doctorates, so I am far from dumb...and Daniel is only two classes away from a Bachelor's in Religion, only his being in a lawyers party fraternity caused him to let his grades slip in his final semester so he is far from unintelligent either). If we could afford to go more often we would go here once a week. It was a wonderful experience and I could not wait to come home to share this with my friends, as a review on their Facebook page, and as a review on Yelp and TripAdvisor. If in Mansfield, please give this 40+ year old family owned business a shot, you will be glad you did.

If you are nearby or even traveling past the area on I-71 it's worth the side trip to eat here. This is the same kinda place you would hang out at after school or on the weekends to meet girls after piling into your friend's hot rod and cruising around. A true American experience that has largely disappeared from the landscape, but this one is still here at least.
