I generally do not do reviews on chain restaurants, but I decided to do one in hopes management reviews Yelp. To start, this is your typical Cracker Barrel... The employees are friendly and the food was good; however the restaurant was was very dirty - floors slippery/grimy, table was sticky, and the restroom was atrocious (I would not want to see what the kitchen looks like). Probably the biggest issue however was the lack of timeliness with our food... A normal Cracker Barrel takes 15-20 minutes (max) to get your food; it took 45+ mins for ours (for two people). Granted, it was a Sunday (which is a busy day), but it was 1 pm... 45 mins is awfully ridiculous. On a good note however, our server (Alysia) was awesome - Very attentive and she must have apologized 4 times about how long the food was taking. Obviously the kitchen was either very short handed or extremely mismanaged. Hopefully management can get it all figured out because this Cracker Barrel needs some TLC.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way home from a trip. It was my first time at a Cracker Barrel, so it was really interesting to see the games they have at the tables for while you're waiting. It was unique and caught my attention immediately. I got biscuits and sausage with gravy, which was fine, but the gravy wasn't what I expected. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was just missing something. Biscuits and gravy is my favorite American breakfast, so I can definitely say I was a little disappointed. The saving grace was the ice cream with blackberry cobbler. Delicious. Simple, tasty, and fruity. It was a great end to an otherwise uninspiring meal.

We chose jalapeño poppers and were really impressed. The cheese was piping hot (be careful!) & the breading was really nice. We quickly gobbled up the poppers! I ordered the shrimp basket with curly fries & apple sauce. I got a side of BBQ sauce with my fries that was really tasty. The cocktail sauce was very flavorful, if a bit salty. The shrimp breading was a little plain, but not salty (rare & good!), so I was happy with it. My berry cocktail was sweet with a modicum of tequila flavor. I drank it quickly! My fiancé had boneless wings, half with peach BBQ sauce & the other half with a lime rub. Both were good! The peach BBQ sauce had a little kick to it, as well. Overall, it was a good lunch that filled us up! Can't wait to come back.

We arrived at noon. The place was not busy surprisingly. Our server Melissa brought our waters, and I ordered a jalapeño lime margarita. It arrived quickly and tasted great. We put in our food order shortly after-Fried mushroom appetizer, 10 boneless wing special, and fish and chips with fries and Mac and cheese. Our mushrooms arrived first from a nice gentleman. They were hot and delicious. We didn't have to wait long until he was back with the food. Timely enough that we had finished the appetizer, but not so long we were left waiting forever. The food was hot and fresh. For a wing joint, a pretty decent piece of fried fish. Fries and Mac and cheese were acceptable. Nothing to write home about. My daughter loved her mild boneless wings and took home the leftovers. Melissa kept our waters filled and was attentive without being over bearing nor absent. I visited the women's restroom. It was a bit out dated but clean. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and service. It seems like they are trying after all the bad reviews. This would be a good place to come for drinks and appetizers! Or wings. If you like that sort of thing.

Have never been to Bob Evans, and went about a week ago…read more I ordered fish with sides of hash, fresh fruit, and banana nut bread. The fish was pretty tasty. One fillet was a bit soggy inside, but still tasted great. The banana nut bread was amazing! The hash was good with ketchup on top. I didn't quite love the apples in the fruit, but that's not really to the restaurants discredit. Our server was very nice, but the one downside of this location is the wait. We got there at the end of lunch time, and it took around an hour to get our food after we ordered it. The people next to us had the same problem. It just seemed like we were forgotten about at times. Just make sure that if you eat here you have some time to really sit down and eat. The food is good, so that's the big plus!

I had a terrible experience today at the Maysville/Meijer drive location. Our waitress, Ashley, was…read moreoutstanding. She was doing as much as she possibly could. However, the rest of the staff did as much as they had to and then stood behind the counter and talked. There were five tables with dishes just sitting and nobody taking them back to the kitchen or cleaning the tables. The cooks were also standing and talking, so everyone's food was very slow and late. One customer ended up leaving while waiting for his food. Another family waited 45 minutes. I couldn't stand looking at the dirty tables anymore, so I got up and took the dishes back to the kitchen myself. I've worked in restaurants before, so this was nothing new to me. When I started to put the dishes down, I noticed there was also a pile of dirty dishes on the line. Not only were they not cleaning off the tables, they weren't doing the dishes that were already back there. They continued to let me do this until they got the hint and started doing the dishes themselves. A lady asked me if I worked here and told me I can't come back because it's a safety hazard. I said it's also a health hazard to leave the dining room dirty and not have the dishes done. The staff, besides Ashley, started yelling at me in front of the dining room. They told me they weren't picking up the dishes because it wasn't their section. I told them the dining room was a mess and they weren't doing anything, so they needed to help their coworker. One lady told me she couldn't do it because she was too busy folding children's menus. Later, we could all hear them fighting amongst themselves. They weren't even in the back - they were in front of everyone. Ashley finally said "I'm done. I'm walking out. I can't work here anymore." I went around to the back to talk to her. She said she's been working there longer than anyone else. I gave her a recommendation of somewhere else to work. We've noticed this Bob Evans has a high turnover rate. We'll see waitresses a few times, then never again. I was told the manager's name is Crystal. There was no manager on duty during this time. We've been going to this location for years, but after seeing the way they acted today and treated the only person who was slammed and actually working, we are done. When a customer has to get up and do your job, you're not even an employee at that point and you might as well not even be there. The two ladies who were "working" with her that day should be fired. It wouldn't have made a difference.
