Coming in hot off the highway, I've been on the road since 6am and really needed a break. Crispy edged pancakes were calling my name and Kristin L helped give me some time to unwind and figure out what I was doing. Spoiler alert is I still didn't know after looking for a while, I started ordering twice and realized what I was picking wasn't what I wanted. I asked for a few items and she helped me pick what special to go with to get everything in. Super helpful staff and the food and atmosphere are all picture perfect when it comes to CB standard. Thanks to amazing staff & kitchen, 30 out of 10 I'll be back again!

I was driving through Georgia around lunchtime and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. I'm very glad I did. I was quickly seated, and my waitress came over to take my order. They serve either breakfast or lunch around midday. The lunch menu has sandwiches, salads and entrees. I opted for the meatloaf entree. It comes with either two or three sides, as well as biscuits or cornbread. The meatloaf, hashbrown casserole, green beans, and biscuits all tasted good. Service was quick and friendly.

Cracker Barrel is one of my go-to places for sure. On the way back from Atlanta, decided to stop by for a good "stick to your stomach" breakfast! :o) We were seated immediately; nice hostess; pleasant waitress. I love that there is a variety of meats to choose from and that they also include turkey sausage on the menu. In any case, I ordered the grilled catfish, grits, and scrambled egg whites. Others at the table ordered various entrees including bacon, cheese grits, hashbrowns, fried eggs, toast, pancakes and biscuits (never go wrong with having the biscuits). My fish was not as tasty as I would have liked, but it was ok. The grits are always spot on (not too salty, not too bland). Note, I had to have a talk with myself before I went in so as to spend money on the meal only! Such a temptation to purchase other items in the store! LOL!

This might be the nicest restaurant staff I've ever seen. Food was quick and staff was so helpful.

Food took an hour to come out and a lot of it was missing when it did come out. Took another fifteen minutes for the other items.

Instead of saying there's a 3% up charge for using a credit card, they worded it in a more positive way.

The dining room is cool and spacious with a black and teal color scheme and stainless steel table tops. I ordered the watermelon Mai tai since it was watermelon festival weekend and the cocktail was good. Nice strong spiced rum flavor, but not as much watermelon came through as I expected. It could have used a bigger glass, something taller, I think. For food I ordered the pasta fresco with shrimp and it included a choice of salad. I had the Caesar salad which was fine. Maybe a bit heavy on the dressing, good flavor though. My pasta was huge. I was happy with the fresh zucchini, spinach, and tomato. The spinach stems probably should have been removed; they were stringy. The shrimp was well cooked. Again this dish was heavy on the fettuccine sauce. Served very hot. The slice of garlic toast on the side was merely okay. It was too tough and didn't soak up sauce well. Also it was small. The toast was the thing I enjoyed least about the meal. My server was friendly and attentive. The food was delivered remarkably fast. All of the staff I interacted with were nice. I would eat here again, the next time I'm visiting the area.

The foundation is still there with the rooms and decor but with lots of tables set up, similar to hosting a gathering at home. Not only that, everyone here was really friendly! We really felt welcomed, and though the second time, service wasn't as outstanding, it was still good. I think they really nailed down the vibe of southern hospitality. For drinks, they have seasonal cocktails, which I think is fun, but I'm not around at a time where I would be able to chill and drink. I end up with a go-to sweet tea. Strong and sweet, that it kept me up, but not the strongest nor sweetest I've had. There's also complimentary bread that's mini muffin shaped and dense like a biscuit. It's buttery and salty, but I like it! Before coming, I saw so many things about the sampler, so I definitely wanted to get it and try out. Love the fried green tomatoes with the honey mustard. It didn't feel oily, and it held up pretty well when cut and dipped into sauce. The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. Overall, I'm glad to know this place because it's a good rec for the area if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's not a bad pick for vegetarians either, though they would only have appetizers and sides to pick from, but I liked them more than the entrees. There's a parking lot, and it's in a good location to see the rest of downtown Perry too.

People will literally WAIT to get their hands on this place and I'm glad we were part of those people today. Forget Cracker Barrel, forget IHOP. We went here for the first time since moving here in 2021 and I'm extremely happy we chose this place for breakfast. Hands down, THE BEST breakfast place I have ever had. As you can see, I didn't even wait to take a bite before taking a picture. The chicken biscuit was literally THE BEST chicken biscuit I've ever had. The chicken was juicy, not even close to being dry. I didn't need any honey or ketchup or anything. It was literally perfect the way it was. They make their biscuits to PERFECTION. The fluffiest, most flavorful, buttery, biscuits that just melt in your mouth. I can't even right now. Also got the Salmon croquet biscuit with egg. JUICY. Like how they make their food so yummy and juicy is beyond me, it's sorcery! Pleaseeee get me started with their scones because we got the apple cinnamon scone with icing on top. LORD HAVE MERCY. That wasn't just a scone. It was a scone sent down from heaven kissed by God himself. The SOFTEST most moist scone EVER. It is very upscale! Our server was nice but not intrusive. We received refills on time and requests were honored very promptly. My daughter ordered a mixed drink and it was good, she also ordered the Chicken Avery and she really enjoyed it along with the garlic green beans. The not so good (in my opinion): I ordered shrimp and my husband ordered the ribeye with accompanying mac n cheese and baked potato. The Mac N Cheese was so soupy you needed a spoon to eat it. Soupy in a watery way not a cheesy way. Baked potatoes were just alright. The skin was great with salt & oil. The inside was either overcooked or not fresh. Several of us ordered the potato and we all felt the same. The $50 ribeye was bland and chewy. My shrimp were comparable to Captain D's . I hate to say that but when I tasted of them that's all I could think of. I think it had more to do with the breading than the actual taste of the shrimp themselves. It was my daughter's birthday and she ordered the crème brûlée. She enjoyed it. The top was nice and crunchy but not warm. The entire thing was cold which was odd. All of the food we received wasn't hot it was warm at best. This is probably a one and done for me just bc the price doesn't reflect the quality of the food. We don't mind paying for something really great but when you feel let down after eating it's tough to go back.
