Pleasantly surprised to find a good seafood place this far from the ocean..The chef understands his proteins and cooks them perfectly. The half shell oysters were excellent. We had Oysters on the half shell and broiled shrimp dinner. Excellent food and it was fresh seafood. Unique menu - yellow and white fish roe, mullet, gator bits, frogs legs to name just a few. They have a seafood store as part of the restaurant. Get their seafood from Florida. read more

Ordered the Mates Platter...salad was prepared and served in a French fried card board tray...salad dressing came in a chilled coke bottle that the waitress had to use a drinking straw to get it to come out...none of my food looks like the forgoing pictures...all my food was OVER cooked in a deep fryer burnt no taste plus there is an extra charge on your bill if you pay with credit card ....pictures are very misleading. read more

Service was scarce. There were a lot of people, so I'll give them that. The kitchen was fielding drive up orders and the restaurant. Maybe it would not have taken an hour and a half to get our food if we'd gone through the drive through. Cheese sticks were weird...looked like they had just taken string cheese and breaded it. Simple atmosphere because nothing else is necessary when the food ...is that good ! I'm telling you , I'm hard to please with seafood since I hail from Louisiana . So , I can be judgey my fried shrimp were some of the best I've had . Big portion , nice size shrimp and the batter ??? Light and did not overpower the shrimp ! Perfection . My sides were the coleslaw and onion rings . The slaw was great and had a bit of pickle in it; nice addition and paired perfectly with the shrimp . And the rings !!!! Perfect flavor . Sometimes the batter is too much but this was light and crispy, perfect size onion ring ...so good ! The hush puppies ..sweet with a perfect crunch . The tartar sauce ... mixed with dill juice was so creamy !! Delish . My husband had blackened grouper ; fresh and perfectly blackened !! All in all ...Cordele will be our 1/2 way stop when going to Jacksonville from now on . YES.....IT'S ALLL THAT......Here's what you need to know..... FRESH, I saw a guy cutting up a fresh red snapper. When I asked him about it he pulled a video up on his phone of him and his dad catching it! GREAT SERVICE. Which I was waiting on my order a guy came in and ordered a Low Country Boil, he was told to come back in 45 minutes at which point I watch the youg lady go get the ingredients and start the process. When I asked about it she said "We make it to order fresh" I was headed south to Jacksonville and fully planned to stop on the way home that Sunday but they are closed. Coming from Florida we stopped for gas on 16th street. The kids noticed a burger king and sonic so we made a stop for them. At sonic I was told about this place being close by and thought why not try them out. I had a tilapia special with two sides and a couple hush puppies. The pick up orders are inside of a fish market/store with seasonings to cook up your fresh seafood. My order was fresh, the potato salad was good. (If I say your potato salad is Good)..It's GOOD!! Get out the town! I mean, come over to Florida! This place is a gem! It was recommended by a girl who works at National Museum Park. My hubz and I are in deep sorrow because we stopped at Cordele town on the way to Atl, however, we had dinner at Dannys because it was next to our hotel. On the way back we had more time to explore Cordele though. Everything is super close of a drive in this town, don't be affraid of a 10 min drive- because it is worth it. The place has a separate room for restaurant and a mini market where you can purchase fresh seafood. We came on Thursday night, around 7 pm, there were 3 families dining, it says alot. Service was quick and super homy. Two young waitresses are super sweet. We ordered fish dinner and crab cakes dinner, everything came out fresh, hot right from the oven, and super tasty! Passing thru on I-75 and found this place on Yelp. Wow - it was questionable for the parking lot activity and multitude of police in 2 minutes exiting a neighboring path But us 2 ladies wanted some fresh food. Indeed it was so fresh and delicious with just the right amount of seasoning and cooking techniques (didn't know broil was an option but had all other 3)! And who can complain when the beer is properly chilled.? In addition, the service made us feel so welcome. (Thanks staff!!) We ordered 2 apps and the captain and cooks combo platters. I would reorder everything again (other than the blackened gator bites and fried green tomatoes). But I have more to try! read more

This place was OK. A friend took a couple of us here and we each tried different things. For the price of the all you can eat, you get plenty. However, the price you pay just for a plate, its scarce. I ordered the whitefish with two sides. What I received was a small whitefish filet with cold green beans and one hushpuppy. Whoever is doing quality control before the food comes out does not do a very good job. The others in our group said the same thing, some of the food was cold and missing items. You can really get your shrimp on here! Excellent fried shrimp here! My hubby ordered the All You Can Eat Shrimp dinner and I was jealous. I really enjoyed the Combo 3 which was blackened snapper, fried oysters and grilled shrimp. Brought my mom who was in need of a seafood fix. They have some local favorites like Mullet. They serve the food on foam plates and use plastic knives and forks. The restaurant and the seafood shop is in a small strip mall. The diner area is air conditioned. The tables and chairs mismatched. They diner area was clean. The server was friendly and helpful. The restroom is handicap but in the back with the storage area. Tried their Lake Blackshear for dinner on Friday, July 26. What a hot mess they are! We probably won't go back. First, they are expensive. For a $29 seafood platter, you expect a platter not a regular size plate! We don't eat much at night so we always split the entree and get extra sides, so 2 choice platter, extra salad and 2 glasses of water ended up at $39. Second, we got there at 7:15, got our salad by 8 and dinner didn't arrive until 8:45! Salad was tired looking, salad dressing came in a big wine bottle with a cork! Slime bottle on the outside, plus how long can ranch dressing stay out of a refrigerator? Cheese grits were unsalted, tasteless & cold. Hush puppies were left off the plate. The fries were the good. My shrimp were good and hubby said the fish was good even if they were fried. But, on the whole, the meal was not worth the wait or the money! read more

Average at best. We stopped here on our way down to Florida at the end of March 2017. The fried seafood was way too salty. The waitress got my order wrong and then wanted to charge me the wrong price. She did change it no problem. This place is dirty and my husband had parasites after we were here! We had raw oysters. I guess that's the chance you're going to take, but we've had raw oysters lots of different places with no problems. I would not recommend this place. read more

As a trained chef and seafood person for 18 years in the Fla. Keys. I was disgusted. I was ask to work there.... no way. Kitchen not clean, prep table just nasty. No real seafood mostly fresh water fish. Shrimp was spongy. No fresh real seafood at all. Oysters on ice.... bad move seeing the are a saltwater entities.
