This place's RV rental was an AMAZING experience for my family! I grew up in Arkansas and now live in LA. When we can we fly back to join my family for their annual 4th of July camping trip. 2018 4th we had reservations - the group at Crabtree took care of everything for us! They delivered our trailer; it was bigger and more amazing than we had ever expected! Our campsite was a corner site and our campground coordinator said there was NO WAY we were getting that trailer in our site however the delivery guy did not give up - worked his magic for almost an hour to get between 2 tree's and our 2 slides out's and got it in there, (we literally had inches between our sides!) Everyone wanted to see our trailer - vibrating and heating recliners, 60' TV that appeared out of the fireplace, an island in the kitchen and a full size side by side fridgerator with a freezer on the bottom - WOW! way more than we expected and nicer than what we rent even in LA for beach camping) Thank you Crabtree RV for taking such good care of us; we look forward to seeing you again! I brought my camper in with some minor storm damage. It was in the peak of camping season last year and they told me they could fix it within a week. They kept my camper for over a month and never completed a single repair. I had to pick up my vehicle they turned it from a $1700 repair into nearly $14000 . To make matters worse the service department was run by a very abrasive person for example, while I was standing at the counter one of his employees asked him a question, and he completely rolled his eyes at a technician. It was for these reasons I took my business elsewhere and never return their calls to schedule the work . read more

No one seemed interested in selling us a camper at all. What interaction we did have with a salesperson was weird. He didn't seem interested in what we wanted. He just suggested campers we weren't even remotely interested in. I don't think we'll purchase at Crabtree. read more

Bought a brand new camper and 2024 from them had nothing but problems their service department is horrible Don't fix stuff right sloppy work they've had the camper almost as long as we've had it in 24 never fixing anything they didn't check the camper out before we bought it had so many problems please check other reviews and go somewhere else save your money the finance department is horrible and they will rip you a new one read more

This was our first RV and we were shopping used. We knew what we wanted when we reached out to Crabtree RV about a unit in their inventory. Our salesman was responsive and made himself available to answer all the questions I could come up with. When we made the 6.5 hour drive to buy the RV, our salesperson was flexible and helpful getting us set up. The unit we bought was 10 yrs old. After we got home we noted a couple maintenance issues that needed attention and the company was dedicated to helping us get a good start with our first RV, provided guidance and some concessions for our distance from their store to get the repairs done to ensure we would get a good forst RV experience. We would not hesitate to return to Crabtree RV in the future. read more

Update 4-2-2024 Crabtree Rv took the Rv before I bought it into the shop but refused service for the new Heui pump recommended by Peterbilt and they installed a used one instead. I haven't put 300 miles on this Rv because they installed a bandaid to just sale it. The Engine protect light has kicked on since a week after I bought it. Lance and the owner refuse to do what's right and told me it was UNCHRISTIAN like for me to leave a review!! One should look deep into the mirror!! Again buyer beware of this kind of used car salesman trickery! After weeks of leaving a message with no response I finally got a call back. I went down and test drove a 2006 Itasca ellipse 40' Diesel pusher, Greg was my salesman. I asked during the drive what a noise was, Greg said it's just part of these RV's. I asked has everything been gone over and checked he said absolutely! One would think a place like Crabtree would do oil and filter changes and other routine maintenance items before they set it out for sale. But no I found out all this after I purchased it. The noise I heard was the bushing less swaybars clanking .I also found out that the steering stabilizer bushing are shot, the belt on generator hasn't been changed 1,887 hours. That's a mere $1,200 charge to change the belt. I called the GM Chris Hanson and told him what I had found out just 2 weeks after purchasing it. He said sorry about your luck!! One of the service guys said he would get me some new bushings. I drove an hour back to CT to pick them up and got back to my mechanic and they were too big to fit on. Another trip to the freightliner store and out of pocket expense again. I'm never going back to Crabtree RV because Chris Hanson isn't a honest person and Greg isn't knowledgeable and didn't want to take much time with us as customers keep being sent out to maintenance crew for details. the other people lie and say they did things they didn't ! I would go else where if you want a trustworthy and reputable RV company to deal with! The founder of Crabtree would be terribly disappointed! After management reaching out and asking my asks, all I wanted was the typical maintenance procedures done as below with me paying for the materials. 1.) Oil change and filters ( air , fuel ,water/fuel) 2.) air dryer filter change 3.)transmission flush 4.)radiator flush 5.)serpentine belt on engine 6.) belt on generator 7.) radiator flush on generator 8.) bushings changed 9.)everything greased 10.)adjustable drive link changed due to bushings. 11.) repair leaks on hydraulic fluid box under steps. 12.) check brakes 13.) inspection of chassis Thank you for listening to my concerns! The GM Lance said he would talk to the owner but I guess the original owner might be upset with this treatment but the new owner only cares about the money. They refused to help in any way. Saying they had something's done 2 years ago when they first got the bus but it doesn't show up under VIN.and can't give any proof! So I'm calling out this companies Fruits!! 4-5 employees lied to me before purchasing buyer beware there are other Camper stores in the area . Once my wife and I decided what make and model class C we wanted I started contacting RV dealerships, and found the unit I wanted. There were many Class C RV's that met the size, floor plan and storage needs for our adventures. What brought me to Cratree was the way Greg and Chris worked with me. WOW! We just had an incredible experience at Crabtree RV Service Dept! We are full time RV'ers and are traveling across the country on our way to see grand-kids in Key West. We intended to overnight in a nearby campground but unfortunately we had an issue with our slide out. We called Crabtree and explained the situation and they said to come over as soon as we could and they might be able to look at it this afternoon or tomorrow morning. We are on a tight schedule so we left the campground and drove to the service dept. Got there around 3pm. By 3:18 pm we were fixed and ready to roll! Larry was AWESOME! In fact the whole staff in the service dept was awesome! They got us fixed in record time! We were anticipating checking into a hotel for the evening and maybe having to stay a day or two, but Larry got our slide unbound and showed me what to do if it ever happened again. As a BONUS, Larry said they had their own campground on site, so we were able to stay and since we had service done and were only overnight, they did not charge us for the stay!! WOW. We purchased a new Imagine Travel Trailer on 4/1/2021 and the salesman and office help were great but the first time we used it the water heater wouldn't work and there were water leaks at multiple places so here comes the BAD PART - Service what a joke after leaving it there for 3 weeks we picked it up and used it , well the water heater wasn't fixed and and I fixed some of the water leaks myself. Fast forward now 1/15/2022 and 5 trips back to Service over 9 months and STILL no hot water!! and other problems, this is a nightmare!! the previous service manager was a Joke he would say he would call us and if we left him a message he would never return our calls and Grand Design is no help either they want even respond to E Mails they take your Money and then you can kiss their Ass this is their attitude. Our camper had a bad brake drum which meant we were not moving until it got fixed. They have a complimentary place to set up your camper while parts are on order. This is a really big deal when you have dogs and are thousands of miles from home. I really wish all RV service centers have this feature. I stopped by today to make an inquiry about a tow dolly, the lady I was talking to got rude and mad at me and just walked away. I finally got to talk to Paul Doyle he could not completely answers my questions either but at least he tried. I have a new motor home and was looking into getting a tow dolly and because I am new I had a lot of questions, which seemed to annoy them in a way. We bought a pull along RV Travel Trailer and within the first month took a 750 mile trip only to find out the hard way that the service department installed the trailer brake control box upside down. We are RV newbies and knew not one thing about trailer brakes. When we applied the least bit of pressure to the tow vehicles brake, the trailer brakes would completely lock up, leaving skid marks from the tires. On our return home, we contacted Crabtree RV about their error, and with strong persuasion, contacting our attorneys, Tim the Service Manager, finally okayed replacing the tires with a set of USA made Cooper Trailer Tires. This was done during a rainy session and then today. with the sun out, I discovered that He had the tires replaced by an off brand CHINA Trailer Tire. This is after I told him I did not want CHINA BOMBS put back on the trailer and he said alright. A business is only as good as their poorest Department and this makes Crabtree RV a TERRIBLE business. read more

Made a trip over to look for a new or used camper/pull trailer and met Carl. He was very courteous and patient. We looked through a lot of campers in the price range we wanted. They had some pretty good sales going, too. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful as we spent the better part of three hours narrowing down the choices and options. They work really hard with us and were able to get us a 2020 Forrest River Salem 37 foot pull camper with a slide out, full residential size fridge, washer/dryer connection and set up to go solar if we choose for an excellent deal considering our credit wasn't great at the time. Sold us a travel trailer with hidden damages, come to find out there was a insurance claim taken out on it by crabtree rv, and they never disclosed the damages to us, they did the repairs, but they did not repair the damage, they threw some tape on it and called it good, when they deliver the trailer to our house, it had no brakes, and the breakaway controller was melted, they won't talk to us nor will the owner talk to us. They are crooks, and will take advantage of you if so possible. Stay away from crabtree rv read more

Crabtree RV illegally parked a camper on my property, trespassed, and destroyed my property by tearing up my yard right after it rained. I was never contacted or asked if the camper that I had generously let a friend store on my property could be returned. When asked to repair the damage, we are being told that they were given permission by said friend. That friend does not own the property or the home and permission was NOT given by myself or my wife. Homeowners permission should always be received. So beware before buying a camper from this location that they do not respect other peoples property, do not willing repair the damage they cause, nor get permission from the homeowner to enter their property. read more

dropped my xlr nitro trailer of for warranty work, its been there a month and a half and still has no parts ordered to put on. its now labor day weekend and I have no trailer for the big end of summer weekend with all my friends. rear ramp door is warped and leaks and the factory says they may not replace it, b.s. I would not recommend buying the forest river brand xlr nitro and would extremely not recommend crabtree rv for service for any service or parts needs. pocket door has broken and fallen off all 5 times I had trailer out camping, numerous other problems since I bought it read more
