I've been here multiple times before and this is the first time I'm leaving disappointed . Our server mixed up our orders, service was extremely slow, and my friend waited forever for her crab. The server put a bag directly in front of me, told me it was mine, and walked away, so of course I started eating it. Then the manager came over and accused me of eating the wrong bag and made us pay for another pound because of THEIR mistake. She also tried saying my friend hadn't paid for her pound when it was clearly on the receipt. The manager's response was to "give her a break, it's her third day." I completely understand being new, but if she isn't ready to take orders alone, she should still be training. Mistakes happen, but customers shouldn't have to pay for them. The food wasn't good at all. We paid $61, was not worth the price. I ordered sweet potato fries and they were very unseasoned, tasted like nothing. The shrimp was not appetizing. Makes me think all the reviews are from friends or family, I got the bill there was a 18% gratuity included in my bill plus they wanted me to leave more tip. I asked what the 18% is for and they waitress said is for the Cooks. Since when, is that not the job of the owners to pay for their salary. I hate when restaurants force you to pay for something that it's suppose to be optional. By the way my order was wrong the cook back there forgot to put mussels in my order. First time here. We have been to Pier 88 several times but Crab N Spice was so much better. Their sauce and seasoning is far superior. We did not do the all you can eat special but it would be a good value for what you get. Jose' our server (also the assistant manager) was outstanding. So I got the Cajun pasta with shrimp thinking it would be as delicious as before and it definitely was not. Price has increased but flavor is just not there. Not sure if they changed chefs but it used to have pieces of shrimp with a lotta Cajun sauce and now it's oily with hardly any Cajun flavor and 3 big shrimp with a few bits of sausage. I personally don't eat sausage so I had to throw that away but, if you're going to add sausage to the dish then you have to change the description or name of the item. The pasta isn't even on the online menu so the restaurant seems a bit disorganized. Very disappointed and won't be going to this restaurant again. read more

They let you know what of time that for all you can eat you have to pay first because they've had problems with people eating and leaving without paying. Totally understandably. What to expect, first of all snow crab and lobster are extra. They have two menu options but understanding the higher option you only get one cluster of crab legs. To me the lower option which is $36.99 and comes with a drink was great on its own. When you order you get 4 choices of seafood, sauce, and 4 sides. The awesome thing is you decide how much except for the scallop that's 6 flat each order. But for the shrimp, mussel, crawfish you let them know how many pounds of each which is awesome! You also have a large set of sides to choose from which includes wings! Now keep in mind everything is fresh and made to order so be patient and expect a little wait in between each order but trust me the wait is worth it. Quality and fresh ingredients. It's soooo good! They advertise "all you can eat" like it's this huge deal, but then you find out you basically can't even get it unless you show up at some random specific time during the week. No weekends, no evenings after 7pm, and good luck if you work a normal schedule. So what's the point of advertising AYCE if most people can never actually order it? It feels like a bait-and-switch just to get people in the door. If your all you can eat special only works on a Monday at 1pm, just be honest about it instead of hyping it up like it's always available. Super disappointing experience. read more

I drove to Crab N spice 2 weeks ago expecting to have the AYCE dinner. It was on a Sunday and I was told they only serve all you can eat dinners on Mon-Thurs. I was pissed off because I live in Lake Los Angeles which is a 25 mile drive to the restaurant. I made the 25 mile trip there again today, Monday Feb 16th only to find a sign written with a magic marker which said no all you can eat tonight. This place is not what it claims to be! It's like driving 25 miles to a Chinese restaurant and seeing a sign in the window that says "Sorry, we're only serving hamburgers tonight". So far this place wasted my gas twice. I am never going back there again. It's not worth the time, effort, wear and tear on my car never mind burning up the fuel to get there. If you claim to be an AYCE establishment then it should be that way all of the time without any games, gimmicks or somebody making an arbitrary decision that they are not going to have AYCE that night! Today, I had the best experience at Crab N Spice. My initial meeting of employees was Kyla and she presented exemplary attitude, expedient service, and great attention. My wife ordered the Captains Meal and was beyond satisfied. I ordered the Haddock and Chicken wings with Cajun fries. The Haddock was perfectly cooked with a great portion, the chicken wings ( all flats) were perfectly crispy and juicy, the fries were crispy and seasoned well with Cajun seasoning. I was invited for a birthday party lunch, there were 10 of us. The celebrant ordered the food. The server said there is no cooked rice, it will take a while to cook. The reason was manager called in sick and that's not a good enough reason. It's about 1:30 pm on a Sunday and that's a late lunch. The lady had seven tables what are the tables with a family of 10 so she was busy she was doing the best that she could after us being there 10 minutes another young lady worker walked in I was very happy that the other lady was gonna get help, but to my surprise she didn't help her at all in fact by the time she walked in she didn't get a table until like 15 minutes later she was just in the corner, standing there near the phone or the register. If that would've been me, I would've asked the young lady that was already there if she needed help with her current customers to see if they had drinks or to check on them at least this is the employees understand that we are watching. However, I dined in today and the server had the most unpleasant attitude. Older female server would be nice in one interaction and the next, I felt she was so annoyed with us but we were so friendly to her! She also handed us the check after we ordered which was odd, so I asked her we had to pay first? Because I wasn't use to that. You are about to have one of the BEST dining experiences of your life. From the moment I sat down, Kyla greeted us with such good energy I was ready to order the entire menu just to stick around longer. She's got the perfect mix of personality friendly, funny, fast, and just a little bit of "you better finish those crab legs or I'll help you" vibes . She recommended exactly what to get (she's got the insider scoop no pun intended ), timed every round of food like clockwork, and somehow managed to check on our table right when we needed extra napkins, more sauce, and that all-important crab-cracking encouragement speech. At one point, I was knee deep in a seafood bag, looking like I was fighting for my life, and Kyla walked by and casually said, "Don't let that lobster tail win." I nearly choked laughing it was hilarious and the motivation I didn't know I needed. The vibe was amazing, and Kyla had a hand in making the entire night memorable. 10/10 would come back just to sit in her section again.
