Music jamming Fish Fry day, plenty parking. Makes you feel at home. I ordered meat for here and one to go! Prices are for family outing of flavorful meal I'm impressed with your journey and your restaurant as it has a family vibe that delivers flavorful entrées. Returning customers, as myself feel they discovered a hidden Gem !!! discovered a hidden Gem !!!

This is supposed to be a pound of shrimp $26, a pound of mussels $19, a half pound of snow crab $28, and garlic noodles $4. A freaking joke!

Food is good. If you can, dine in. Call in orders are made after you pay and that service is very slow. Waited almost one hour for my order!

Their wine selection was amazing, and the Moscato I ordered was great. My bartender, Kore, was such a vibe! I genuinely enjoyed chatting with her and would come back just for the good conversations alone. I also checked out the food menu, and everything sounded delicious and seemed reasonably priced. They have an upstairs patio featuring a Juice WRLD mural. While it's not a Chicago skyline view, the scenery was still pretty decent! There's also a gaming area upstairs, which adds another fun element to the space. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab drinks, relax, and enjoy good company. I'd definitely come back!

I originally came for brunch, but my date arrived late and brunch ended at 3:00 p.m., so we had to wait for dinner service to start at 4:00 p.m. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The presentation was nice, served in a large bowl, and the sauce was delicious. However, the portion felt small for the size of the bowl--only four shrimp and not nearly enough grits. My date ordered the same dish and felt the same way. The biggest disappointment was that the food arrived only room temperature. It seems like more and more restaurants are serving food that isn't hot, and that's frustrating. My date also ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger came out without the fries, although they were brought out later. Overall, the experience was okay. The atmosphere and building are great, but the food temperature and portion size, left me underwhelmed. I might come back one day to try the brunch menu, but based on this visit, it's probably not a place I'd rush back to.

It's no exaggeration when I say that my dining experience at Maple Tree Inn was one of the best…read morerestaurant experiences I've ever had! My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

We were seated at a table for 4. So far everything I expected. We placed our order. The bruschetta app was over the top. I ordered truffle butter for my steak. About 10 minutes later, but I was told that they were out of truffle butter but could substitute garlic herb. Main course arrived. I had a Ceasar salad that was very nice but overdressed to almost soggy. Steaks (filet & a delmonico) arrived 'medium" at best - both ordered med rate. Baked potatoes were just above room temp. but were pre buttered. Grilled asparagus were warm at best. I ordered coffee after dinner & was told they were out of coffee & a new pot could be brewed but would take 20 min if I wanted to wait. I declined. Upon receiving our check I was told that an 18% gratuity is automatically applied (not a problem, just a surprise). Looking at the check I also noticed a 3% convenience fee was applied. This was not a $300 dining experience. All things considered it was NOT the upscale, elegant Italian Steakhouse eveningI hope for.

I checked in, was told my chicken was "coming up," and then watched order after order leave that kitchen for everyone but me. When I finally asked again, I was told another 15 minutes. I cancelled. Here's where it gets insulting. No receipt could be printed. Only a manager could refund an online order. A photo of my receipt was sent to said manager, and I was promised an email confirmation. It never came. I paid real money and left with nothing but someone's word, which turned out to be worth exactly that. I filled out a survey. The response I got still had the AI prompt in the body of the email. They didn't even bother to delete it before hitting send. That's not a mistake. That's how little this situation mattered to whoever was on the other end. I called it out. Someone claiming to be the owner responded, assured me the refund would be handled. It wasn't. I followed up the next day. Watched the message get read. Sat there until 5pm. Nothing. No response. No confirmation. No refund. So to be clear: this business took my money, failed to make my food, failed to document my cancellation, sent me a lazy AI-generated non-apology, made a promise they didn't keep, read my follow-up and chose silence. That's not a bad day. That's who you are. I won't be back, and I'll make sure people know why.

I came to enjoy dinner at their Food Bazaar food court followed by a classic Motown Revue concert performed by a cover group called Motor City in their Halsted Ballroom. It was all courtesy of my high roller brother-in-law who had the required points to make it all complimentary. I learned this hotel-casino is owned by a group called the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and they own other properties mainly in AL and FL apparently as well as a few properties overseas. I will review their food court separately under the Food Bazaar Yelp page. Before eating, we walked about the premises. A lot of the space is dedicated to slot machines. They have the usual blackjack, baccarat, and craps tables, a sports betting room, and a smallish 10 table poker room. Other restaurants in the casino, not counting the food court eateries, include the Ivory Noodle Bar, Shuck It Oyster Bar, and The Spot American Diner. As far as the Motown Revue concert, I'll also go with a 3.49 star rating. The Halsted Ballroom has a stated capacity of 800 but we counted 552 seats. It was a comfortable setup albeit loud as the music was contained in a ballroom as opposed to an auditorium setup. The cover band and performers did a nice and entertaining job covering a lot of the classic hits from the Motown era. The performers covered hits by the Supremes, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, and the Temptations. It was an entertaining and reminiscent evening for those of us who grew up in the 60's with this music.

For the pricing, I expected much better flavor, quality, and overall creativity. The shareables were overpriced, the drinks were mid-level at best, and nothing really stood out enough to justify the cost. The space itself is nice and works well as a social spot or sports bar atmosphere where you can sit, talk, watch games, and enjoy company. That part of the experience was probably the highlight. However, the service was also lacking because the restaurant seemed noticeably short-staffed. It took a long time to receive attention and proper service throughout the visit, which added to the frustration. Overall, the location and atmosphere have potential, but the menu, food quality, drink execution, pricing, and staffing experience need major improvement to match the type of establishment they appear to be aiming for.
