I saw several people come in and buy tea. So, I asked the cashier about the tea. She recommended the Obama and the Halle Berry teas. She was way cool with explaining the teas, so I took her advice. This Seafood Junction is not for sit-down. You order for takeaway. That works for me. I must say that the output from the kitchen beats a Seafood Junction location I went to in a suburb that borders Chicago. Good food and good service make for a package that can't be beaten.

The staff wasn't friendly and wasn't helpful when I asked was the catfish dinner catfish or Swai they told me they didn't know and were not nice about it. It's not super close to me but we did pass it going to Arcola illinois. I was surprised the place was Seafood Kitchen place but it was also a Korean BBQ place. We did the seafood part not the Korean BBQ part everything was so good the sauce was perfect. My friend's daughter love their pasta and immediately wanted to go back the next day. It's quite a big place and they do have a DJ on the weekends which is quite interesting. Service was great he took care of us and kept checking on us. Definitely coming back to this place I highly recommend a seafood Cajun bag and we also did the fresh oysters or raw oyster which was fresh. Happy eating!

The Cesar salad was excellent, it was fresh and crunchy. Savory dressing that came on the side. The fried rice was the perfect texture. My mom ordered the catfish, it was crispy! Along with the clam chowder, creamy and light in taste. Pretty good! Following our appetizers, our Korean barbecue came next. We ordered The ribeye, beef, short rib, Shrimp, salmon and the beef Bulgogi. The Ribeye and the beef short rib were my absolute favorites. They were fresh and very easy to cook. The beef Bulgogi was OK, it did burn extremely fast. The shrimp and the salmon cooked as expected. What's very different about this place that they let you season the food on the grill. That absolutely enhance the flavor of the meats. You can either eat it with the side of noodles or rice. We opted for the white rice, perfect combo. Our final course was the seafood boil, we both ordered the Cajun spicy seafood boil. It was delicious! My mom had noodles within hers and they were seasoned to perfection. The right amount of kick and flavor. The portion sizes are reasonably priced for what you get. I highly recommend going with a group! They have a whole lot to offer like happy hour and lunch specials. The service was excellent. We had the server beauty. She was amazing It made us feel like we were at home. Go hungry and leave happy!

I also understand that servers sometimes make assumptions about guests. However, every customer deserves the same level of attention and service, regardless of what a server thinks the tip may be. According to the receipt provided by the manager, I believe our server's name was Jaden. Unfortunately, she never introduced herself and only checked on our table once throughout the meal. Most of the service we received actually came from the manager on duty. I found myself repeatedly getting up to ask for things until I finally asked Jaden, if she was our server. I hoped that would prompt a little more attention to our table, but it didn't. Instead, she remained focused on another table that had arrived before us and was still there after we left. I watched her check on them four or five times while our table was largely ignored. Whether intentionally or not, it certainly felt as though she had decided our table wasn't worth her time. If that was her assumption, then in this particular case she was correct about one thing: my husband and I will not tip for bad service. I have no problem rewarding excellent service, but I also believe tips should reflect the quality of the experience provided. Rather than leaving money for poor service, I chose to give the cash I had to the busboys, who were attentive and helpful throughout the evening. The reason I'm sharing this review is because I don't want one bad experience to overshadow what has otherwise been a good restaurant. I've dined here several times before, live nearby, and have always enjoyed my visits. That's why this experience stood out so much. I'm willing to give the restaurant another chance because I know the level of service they're capable of providing. My hope is that when I return, every guest will receive the same level of attention and hospitality, regardless of assumptions about who they are or what they may tip. Great service should be consistent, and that's what keeps customers coming back. One final thought: tipping culture only works when both sides do their part. GUESTS should recognize and reward good service, and SERVERS should provide quality service to every table. When assumptions are made on either side, EVERYONE loses.

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.
