It's very unfortunate that they conduct business so poorly. After you give them the green light for the job, the communication becomes NON EXISTANT. There was no one on site to oversee the workers and lead them through what was agreed upon. I ended up trying to manage the job myself for TWO DAYS but the tree guys acted like they didn't understand English when it served them to ignore me. Nothing but excuses from Bill (when the job was done) who sold the job then disappeared for the duration of the work. When they left several things broken (my gate, cracked my driveway, oil spots all over my driveway, and a massive hydraulic fluid leak on the road in front of my house) I had to hastle them to take care of what they damaged/left unfinished and they still haven't cleaned up the massive stain left behind (it's been over a month and they are ignoring me). read more

Stay very far away from this company. I used them due to a professional referral and it was the worst mistake of my life. Bill gave me a sob story about them being short on work and how he had a friend that died. He made promises that he couldn't keep with the work. They said it would be done in 2 days and it took them 3 weeks. They harassed me for payment when the job wasn't done. They broke the fence behind my house and damaged my grass by driving their truck on it without my approval. The owner Isidro tried to come to my house to intimidate me into paying them when things weren't complete. I agreed to remove the cost of fixing my grass and paid them. I realized after that they didn't not fully remove all the stumps and left some trees. Now they're claiming I didn't pay them the full amount. I never heard from them when I paid them but now I'm bringing things they left undone and sent proof, there's a claim that I owe them money. Sounds like someone is trying to get over. The owner has yet to confirm what amount I paid them. Bill is not answering my calls. The owner hung up in my face today. Very professional group of people lol. Avoid them. Apparently, most tree companies subcontract their crews and they don't know who's showing up to the job until the day they arrive. This company is no different. They were late getting started, they tore up my yard, destroyed a light fixture/lamp post, and didn't disclose hidden CC fees until it came time for payment. I suspect they have mixed reviews because it's subcontracted crews, not actual employees of a company, so sometimes they do a good job and sometimes they don't. Contacted Eric Muller at CR Tree service and was able to talk to him in a quick manner. He and his crew took down an old pine tree that had been leaning for years but finally started leaning more. I knew it would have to go. Eric was able to accommodate me in a few days. They did a great job and were even able to save a dogwood that was leaning against a large branch of the pine tree. Took care of all the debris they created. The only thing negative that happened was some divots in my front lawn where the logs may have lain and a few in the back yard but the places are already filling in! I highly recommend this company. They offered a half price of "regular tree service in town", I actually did not expected that 12 crews showed up with 2 trucks and 1 wood chipper, and get the all work done in an hour. We cut down 1 large oak tree, 10 large branches off from various tall&large trees in my front and back yard. They cleaned up perfectly after the work... Amazingly good tree service. We recently hired John and his crew to remove several dying cypress trees from our backyard. His quote was spot on with other quotes we had received and he came highly recommended by other folks in our neighborhood. His crew was at our house within about two hours of my contacting John to say we wanted him to handle the trees. His guys were efficient and quick. They took down five trees in about three hours. Left our yard so clean that you'd never have known that there had been major work done. The job was also complicated by the fact that the trees were right on the property line we share with some particularly difficult neighbors. John was on site and communicated details about the job as they cropped up. One additional note. There was one tree that couldn't be removed without access to our neighbor's drive way. John went next door to ask for access to the property. The response he received was very, very rude. However, John remained civil and professional through it all. This actually precipitated a little blow up with our neighbors. Regrettably, the tree still stands. Again, John's professionalism in the face of this rude behavior was commendable. We have more trees to be removed and we will engage CR Tree Experts when we are ready to proceed. I highly recommend these guys. read more

PLEASE SEE UPDATE AT THE END. I had to give them one star even though they did an excellent job. He was the first one to give me an estimate and it was so good I told him I won't get other estimates. He said he'll come the next morning which he did. When it came time to pay, Isidro was acting a little funny and was actually weird when I kept asking to pay him. I offered him the price he quoted me plus an extra $500 tip as there were twelve employees that worked all day. He then said the verbal quote he gave me was $2,000 higher than his actual quote. Even said his brother would back him up. LOL There was no doubt what the real quote was. This is a common scam that I had pulled on me one other time a few years ago. I said here's the money for the quote you told me and I took away the extra $500 for his attempt to scam me. He refused payment and left. It's a shame as they did a great job but the scam took him off my list of ever using or recommending him! UPDATE!! Another staff member came by and we worked out a very fair settlement. I may have been harsh with thinking it was a scam based on a similar experience. I'm chalking it up to language barrier and will always request something in writing in the future. Hired them to remove trees and trim others. Showed up the same day they were supposed to about an hour late which wasn't a big deal. Did a good job. I think they damaged the roof but repaired it and didn't say anything to me about it (the roof was a week old, so...). About 3 weeks later I noticed a huge limb now with dead leaves swinging back and forth immediately over my back patio. It's easily 10' in length and was hanging from one of the trees I had trimmed. I contacted Isidro and said "Hi Isidro - Hope you are doing well. We have a branch stuck in one of the trees we had you trim. I wouldn't really worry about it except it is swinging directly over our patio and I'm afraid it will fall when we are out there or fall and break the patio door or furniture below. Can you come by and pull it down next time you are in the area?". He responded and asked if he could come by the next day which I couldn't do because of an out of town meeting but I gave alternatives. I followed up 6 different times by text and 4 times by phone over the following 3 weeks. He accidentally picked up the phone and committed to having someone come take care of it the same day at 6pm. They didn't show. He didn't respond to any follow up texts and the calls go directly to voicemail. At this point, I understand that the check is cashed and they don't stand behind their work so I'll have to pay someone else to come over with a ladder to get the limb they cut out of the tree so we can safely use our back patio. I saw reviews were mixed (and the not so good ones were quite dated) but they left a flyer and we had a need. Other quotes were exorbitant. I called for a quote. Jacob came within a few days, on time, and we were impressed with his knowledge. I just have to share we had a super experience. The team was extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing with the rope and harness. We had a very tall dead pine and 2 other big trees removed. I live in Roswell and my wife and I were watching their work and asked them for an estimate for a couple of really large trees on my property. I was given a quote and said I'd like it done as soon as their schedule allowed. They finished across the street and were starting on my project a few hours later. They are very professional, conscientious and worked as a team. After about 90 minutes of hard work, a lightning storm forced them to quit for the day. They returned the next day and finished my tree and stump removals. Extremely safe and well trained teams stayed until they had my entire project area looking clean and complete. Sham operation! Do NOT use!! They asked for $2500 up front, said they would start on a Monday, no show no call for the entire week. They did some work a few days ago, said they purchased 20 tons of rip rap. They've still not paid the original company they got the rip rap from. The owner of the stone company came to our house and informed us they had not been paid AND the guy only ordered 10 tons. The company that he "purchased" the stone from is now talking about putting a lean on our home because he has not paid them. They were supposed to finish the yesterday, no show, no call. I was also told I needed to give another $2000 for more materials or they would not come back. So, I paid them. NOW, we are out $4500 and the job is not complete. Seeing as they haven't returned any of our calls or the place the stone came from, we are going to file charges with the Cobb Police Dept., the County and write letters to the BBB and involve the Attorney General. I was a bit concerned after reading the previous review but I checked 3 of their past jobs for references and everyone was happy with them so I decided to give them a try. I was very pleased with their work and their communication with me as well. This was a job that took almost 3 days to complete as my home is surrounded with trees. Even my neighbors were impressed and C.R. got several more jobs in my neighborhood as a result of their impressive work. Warning to Wilmington NC! Do NOT use this company for hurricane clean up. We paid $2150 to have our trees and yard cleaned up. It took them 3 hours when others said it was a 2 day job. They created large grooves in the yard with the heavy equipment they used, left trash and cig butts, and didn't even come close to removing the limbs and leaves. They are cheap, but quality of their work is poor. From the first interaction with John the sales guy, they are not professional, should have listened to my gut. They removed tree ok and ground stump but left chips everywhere. They were supposed to do bobcat work same day too but that morning, the plans changed and price went up - not what I was told on phone or when I got estimate. Luckily they didn't get paid for that prior and they never have given a straight answer on when it will be done. I paid them to clean gutters with other work and they barely blew them out with blower, gutters still have plants growing in them. They said they would come fix, but that was weeks ago. They do not call back and it took multiple stern voicemails calling them basically crooks and threatening to contact BBB to get any response. C.R. Tree Services wanted to access my property to remove a neighbors tree. They were to bring a bobcat and it wood be great. I said " Proof of insurance?". They sent me a valid policy for another tree company and stated they were "partners". 1 call to the insurance company to find out that was false. Their was no partnership clause in the policy. They were in the neighborhood doing some jobs for other people and we asked them for an estimate. It was fair and my husband got them to throw in stump grinding so we went for it. They took down 8 pine trees and one small cedar. They had to arrange to turn off electricity since one tree was close to our line to our house and they were there to meet the Ga Power truck. I just used CR Tree to remove 2 dead pine trees, and 4 massive pine trees that were crowding my house, the biggest one was looming over my house and was a risk during every storm. They did a magnificent job of getting the trees down efficiently without any damage done whatsoever. The crew was professional and expert as I watched a lot of it happen. The used a bobcat and worked around my property and other trees and landscaping I wanted to keep without messing anything up.
