When Hazel Eye Center opened up we made the switch. First, the facility is bright and open with a few seats in a waiting area and a wall of eye glass frames. The staff here are very friendly. On our first visit we filled out the necessary information on a tablet and received a very thorough examination. My spouse and I went into the exam room together and took turns in the chair. Dr. Hazelton is very friendly and we actually enjoyed the exam. She recommended a new contact lens for me and gave a sample to try. They work well and I am happy with them. She also updated my eye glasses prescription and I purchased a new set of frames and lenses through her. They are not cheap, but as they are a designer label, they wouldn't be and my lenses are always expensive based on my prescription. This is not a surprise cost and I really like the frames. Dr. Hazelton took time to personally help me find frames I would be happy with after I told her I felt pressured into the old pair and never like the way I look in them. We have called them with questions and stopped in to pick up orders and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They are a small business and sometimes we have to leave a message or wait for staff to come out of the exam room which we understand and don't mind. We are happy with our change of eye doctor. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of their office. They are located right where Bald Hill road turns into Quaker lane across from the Stop & Shop/Cowesett Corners Shopping Center. If coming from the south, you will drive past the building, turn left at the court house then left again and come up Quaker Lane to access the parking lot.

Hazel Eyes stood out and with it only a mile away we made 2 appointments being a half an hour apart. It was easy to find on Quaker Lane across the street from the new Job Lot near Stop and Shop. Parking was very good with handicap access right at the entrance. When we walked in the place smelled great and is very clean and well organized. We sat in the waiting area for 2 minutes and were greeted by a young lady who asked us a few questions adding info into a tablet. We went back to the waiting area to complete a few more questions on our own with the tablet that was easy to use. Before seeing the Dr. her assistant was thorough completing a few tests on our eyes. When meeting Dr Hazelton she was very pleasant and professional explaining everything in detail and it was a great relief when the Dr. Inserted small plugs into the corners of my eyes to stop the dry eye problem I've had for some time. After the exam the Dr. took me to the eye glass area helping me choose my frame. To finish the process I was seated at a table and assisted by a courteous guy who helped with the finishing touches completing everything with payment and when to expect the glasses in. Overall we were very pleased from start to finish. It was a comfortable experience and we never felt rushed. I'm looking forward for the new glasses to come in and we are both very pleased we chose Hazel Eyes as our new go to spot. Thank you Hazel Eyes for being nearby.

My new glasses are great, and they were already fit with an old band-aid to fix the crack in that piece across my nose. The eye drops were a trip- they say my pupils were so dilated whatever that means. but they looked a lot like my sister's when she comes home at 6am from these raves she talks about. Well I'm raving too. If it's not cloudy, I can see from Woonsocket to Westerly. Thank God, because I wouldn't want to drive that distance- that's a 4 day trip in RI and 2 hotel stops. Oh, and the offices were easy to find- literally right next to where Benny's used to be....even though really everything is next to where a Benny's used to be. So they said my vision was 20-15, can you believe it! Everyone was impressed but to be honest, I memorized the eye chart from iphone pix I took a few months earlier. Cool huh? Just don't tell them I cheated...or the lawyers of the dog owners whose pug I ran over one morning. Twice. He just wouldn't stay down. Fine. 3 times. But in fairness I lost a rim. They want to take me to court! Right. They'll never find me: I live in Woonsocket and their offices are in Westerly. I also hope they have a good sense of humor- like anyone reading this! ;-) Thanx, Charlie Ha....um just Charlie.
