We had been seeing the same eye doctor for years. When we moved to southern RI from the MA line, we…read morekept driving up to see our other doctor which over time became an 'outing' as we had no other reason to be in that area. When Hazel Eye Center opened up we made the switch. First, the facility is bright and open with a few seats in a waiting area and a wall of eye glass frames. The staff here are very friendly. On our first visit we filled out the necessary information on a tablet and received a very thorough examination. My spouse and I went into the exam room together and took turns in the chair. Dr. Hazelton is very friendly and we actually enjoyed the exam. She recommended a new contact lens for me and gave a sample to try. They work well and I am happy with them. She also updated my eye glasses prescription and I purchased a new set of frames and lenses through her. They are not cheap, but as they are a designer label, they wouldn't be and my lenses are always expensive based on my prescription. This is not a surprise cost and I really like the frames. Dr. Hazelton took time to personally help me find frames I would be happy with after I told her I felt pressured into the old pair and never like the way I look in them. We have called them with questions and stopped in to pick up orders and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They are a small business and sometimes we have to leave a message or wait for staff to come out of the exam room which we understand and don't mind. We are happy with our change of eye doctor. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of their office. They are located right where Bald Hill road turns into Quaker lane across from the Stop & Shop/Cowesett Corners Shopping Center. If coming from the south, you will drive past the building, turn left at the court house then left again and come up Quaker Lane to access the parking lot.

Hazel Eyes stood out and with it only a mile away we made 2 appointments being a half an hour apart. It was easy to find on Quaker Lane across the street from the new Job Lot near Stop and Shop. Parking was very good with handicap access right at the entrance. When we walked in the place smelled great and is very clean and well organized. We sat in the waiting area for 2 minutes and were greeted by a young lady who asked us a few questions adding info into a tablet. We went back to the waiting area to complete a few more questions on our own with the tablet that was easy to use. Before seeing the Dr. her assistant was thorough completing a few tests on our eyes. When meeting Dr Hazelton she was very pleasant and professional explaining everything in detail and it was a great relief when the Dr. Inserted small plugs into the corners of my eyes to stop the dry eye problem I've had for some time. After the exam the Dr. took me to the eye glass area helping me choose my frame. To finish the process I was seated at a table and assisted by a courteous guy who helped with the finishing touches completing everything with payment and when to expect the glasses in. Overall we were very pleased from start to finish. It was a comfortable experience and we never felt rushed. I'm looking forward for the new glasses to come in and we are both very pleased we chose Hazel Eyes as our new go to spot. Thank you Hazel Eyes for being nearby.

Extremely Disappointed with LensCrafters - Misleading and Poor Service!…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at LensCrafters in Warwick Mall, Rhode Island. First, they gave me the wrong size frame, and I had to replace it. When placing the order for the correct size, I made it very clear that I was leaving Rhode Island in two weeks and wouldn't be coming back. They assured me the glasses would be ready in 10 days, saying that was the "worst-case scenario." It's now well past that, and they still have no idea when my frames will be delivered to the store (they say they can't track when they will be delivered). The lack of communication has been frustrating, with no clear answers or updates. While delays happen, being promised a specific timeframe under important circumstances and then being left in the dark is unacceptable. I expected much better from a large company like LensCrafters. If you're on any sort of schedule or want reliable customer service, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. I do not recommend doing business with this store. Period! Update: The glasses finally arrived at my house via UPS a couple of days ago (after a month) and guess what? They are defective (the right hinge is loose and crocked). I went to LensCrafters in my area to get service (as I was promised I could get service at any LensCrafters in the US), and they told me the glasses are unfixable and not in stock! What a shame--expensive Persol eyeglasses from a company that considers itself "premium." Waste of time, money and energy for nothing. Stay away from Luxottica scam!
