Devondre is the best customer service in framing I've ever received. Beyond having a great eye for matching frames/artwork/and matting, he is patient, kind, and efficient. I had 7 pieces of art that I wanted to update the matting for, some with multiple openings in one frame. He assisted with the color choices but was never pushy in an attempt to needlessly make me pay more than a fair price. Moreover, I have been to 3 framers for a very special custom piece and never went through with the order because of poor designs and awful customer service. Devondre did what they couldn't due in 15 minutes and I gladly paid $600 for this one special piece. From selling me a few quick ready mades, redesigning mats for pieces I already have, to custom work, I got 8 pieces completed in an hour. This place is awesome! They're the "go-to" place for printing photos from a smart phone and uploading them onto their website, https://cheappetes.com/. Cheap Pete's has numerous locations and I go to their shop in Alameda. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and offer great service. The best salesperson at that location is Melissa. They've probably printed at least 50 photos from my iPhone with the largest at 20" x 20". Melissa will always take the time and show you your print request before you leave the store. Nonetheless, each and every time I'm incredibly amazed at the quality of the print because they're beautifully done. Now that's great service!!! read more

They have been here since May of 2022. If it wasn't for me needing to stop by Pagano's Hardware, I would not have known they were hiding back here. Quality/Quantity - Huge location and selection for all your framing needs. They also have custom frames. Custom printing is also available, including on canvas. Atmosphere - One of the first locations with the new branding. Replaced the Sprint store and the vacant space next door. Huge space 5000+ sq ft. Huge selection, and custom framing. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 6pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Good, they greet all customers right away as you enter. I really loved working with Johnny and team at CP. they clearly have a vested interest in people framing amazing pieces. I went in pretty late, and they spent probably 2 hrs with me going through all my pieces and picking frames, mats, suggesting different ways to frame different pieces which all turned out amazing. Would 10/10 recommend working with them. When I left with my last customer frames piece, the manager said "we get the short end of the stick because you get to keep the pieces." I came in asking for help to replace the broken glass of a picture that had fallen off the wall. and I half hour later I left with a picture that looked better than when is brought it in. Devondre and Jared were great. They were courteous, patient with me and genuinely a pleasure to work with. In a day and age when good costumer service is hard to find, Devondre and Jared reminded me that such a thing still exists. All the frames they had in stock were basically the same style just in diff colors and woods. Very little to choose from with respect to style of frame. They had a lot of the same. I browsed the custom frames, but nobody asked me if I wanted help. I have a lot of frames to buy - both standard sizes & custom. But will take my business elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend using these guys. I know I know, it's just like any old cheap pete's right? Wrong! Johnny and Devondre were a fantastic help when I had a bunch of pieces I wanted to frame. I came in right at closing and they walked through piece by piece with me choosing frames, mats and making excellent suggestions. This was thoroughly enjoyable and honestly above and beyond the call of duty. We ended up framing 6 pieces, and while expensive (as any art framing is), these guys made the whole process worth it and super educational. I had three posters that I wanted framed. I came in on a weekend and was helped immediately. I was able to get my posters measured quickly and chose frames and mat colors with the help of one of their employees. She was friendly, helpful, and let me know my different price options (me doing the framing myself versus having them do it). Even the employees who weren't helping me were extremely friendly and kept my mother company while I was choosing frames and mats. It took about two and a half weeks to get my order ready and they turned out great. I think they look lovely at my place and I would definitely come back here for help with additional artwork. read more
