Once again, Panorama Framing comes through! When I originally brought this piece in, I was given the option to dry mount the poster, but declined since theoretically that decreases its value. But over time it began to ripple a bit under the glass, and to dimple along the edges. So I brought it back in to Panorama and asked Ted and Steven to rectify the problem. They were so friendly and gracious! Since I never intend to part with the poster (the signature by the artist is dedicated to me), we decided it made sense to go ahead to open up the frame, remove the poster, dry mount it, and reframe. Which they did in just one day, free of charge! It looks better than ever, and I am tremendously grateful for the wonderful customer care. If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars. Panorama Framing is absolutely excellent! I had 6 fans purchased from travels in Spain, Cuba, China and Portugal and Stephen at Panorama framed them lengthwise in a 5 foot long shadow box. It is stunning. He secured them to the linen mat with fishing line on the back of each fan so that the tacking is not visible. We spent quite some time going over mat and frame possibilities but he has a great aesthetic "eye" and I love the copper-colored frame and cream mat that he used. The job took about 3 weeks and Stephen kept me posted on the progress. Given the highly detailed level of work the cost was very reasonable. All the recent reviews here on Yelp are 5-star and the raves are fully deserved. I will use Panorama for all my future frame jobs and have already recommended them to friends. read more

This place, to put it bluntly, rocks! This was my first time ever getting anything framed and the staff walked me throughout the entire process. They were friendly, honest, patient, and incredibly respectful. The framing process itself took about 3 weeks and I just picked up the completed product. The staff LITERALLY biked through the rain to get me my framed diplomas. The owner Patrick is a very cordial guy and his studio does good work. But I'm afraid I have to corroborate what other customers posted about the very poor communication at Panorama. I recently made a number of phone calls to ascertain if my framing job was finished. No one answered the phone, which meant I had to drive from Rockridge to Grand Ave. just to find out if the job was finished. It wasn't, even though I had been told "two to three weeks" and had waited more than a month. Wish I could recommend Panorama, but I cannot. read more

Was so impressed and pleased with the level of hands on help and expertise that Patrick showed. He really spent time with us to make sure we were happy with what we picked for matting and framing, giving advice but not overstepping. I called Panorama Framing upon a recommendation of another photographer friend. I called later in the evening and got their voicemail. I thought perhaps they had closed a little early and didn't leave a message because in my experience, I usually have to end up calling back anyway. Imagine my surprise when about ten minutes later my phone rings, and it's Patrick at Panorama returning my call and apologizing for missing it! Who does that? Now that is some excellent customer service! I needed a few image mats for some non-standard sized images to go in standard size frames. Of course I couldn't find these at a place like Aaron Brothers or Michaels, where i was quoted some pretty ridiculous prices for this custom size. Patrick assured me he could handle my request and that they would be done in a matter of a few hours (not over a week like others had told me). I gave him the info that I needed over the phone that evening, and I was able to pick them up the following afternoon! Panorama Framing is a warm, inviting place, with such friendly, caring staff. Unbeliebably bad. I left my art with them on Jan 10th 2019 and picked out the simplest frame they have. After calling multiple times and getting the same "we'll call you when it's done" I went in in MAY to get it not even considering that it wouldn't be done yet. But no it wasn't done in May. They did nothing to make it up to me but offer a totally bs excuse "sorry we are working through our backlog." So now, 5 months later I'm back to square one (get it?). Be warned. They have a half a year backlog which they hide from you and have no policy of updating or communicating with clients. Never once was I called. Never once did they apologize when I called them. If I could give zero stars I would. Offensively bad. Go anywhere else. read more

I wish I could give this place the 5-star reviews others have given, but I'm afraid that although the gentleman that waited on me when I took my fabric piece in for consultation was quite friendly and accommodating, that's the last time I ever saw it! His estimate at the time was that preparing it for hanging should take 1-2 weeks -- and when I went to the shop 3 weeks later to ask what the status was, I was given a kind of "Don't call us, we'll call you" brush off. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago. I've left a couple phone messages since, and these have not been returned. At this point, I'm still hoping these folks will redeem themselves (and that I will see my Navajo rug again), and that I can revise this review -- but I'm not holding my breath! read more

I first went to Panorama framing about a year and a half ago and they were WONDERFUL! I was helped by Patrick and he answered all of my questions and really made me feel like a valued customer. However, now they're under new management and Patrick is no longer there. I was "helped" by Scott and I even talked with the manager once, and the service that both of them offered was HORRIBLE. Scott did not care at all about my artwork, which I entrusted to them for framing. I literally had to call them 7 or 8 times over the course of a month - first to find out the status of my print and then just to get my print back from them when I was too disgusted and frustrated to deal with them anymore. Scott did seem focused on selected framing projects, so that's great if you're one of the lucky ones in that category. However, my print did not fall within that category, so he pushed it to the side and ignored me. When I dropped it off, he said he would double check the pricing and then call me with the information. He never called. After a few days, when I called the shop, he would say the same thing - he would check on it and call me back. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK - not once. My only communication with them came from me calling to check on my print. I finally said, "Screw this" and got my print back from them. I'm sorry to say this, but I'll never do business with them again. Panorama sucks now. read more

I recently had my diplomas and awards framed. I designed the frames and trimming and I am very happy with the result! With some I wasn't too happy because of size and Patrick immediately offered to redo it which I appreciated and thought wonderful and caring. Patrick is very patient and helpful. His store is such a pleasure to be in. He also has art exhibits with life music at the beginning of the month. It's a great place to have your valuable things framed. I had a very good experience! The store has very high ceilings and is spacious and airy, not stuffy and full of clutter. As of 2016 they had the best rates in the East Bay on mounting art to Foam-cor. The picture frame wires they hung on the backs of our art were at a pleasingly exact placement. I had 20 prints to hang and thanks to their precision I was able to hang each print quickly without having to double measure and do extra math for every nail and hook that was going into the gallery wall. read more
