I walked in on 12/19 at 7:45 PM. I say the time and date so this woman can remember me! I came because I had a gift card. Big mistake! Very rude woman. The woman at the desk who was probably the owner looked like she could NOT be bothered. Her face looked disgusted by me even walking in the store . I made a reservation the day prior (even on the phone the woman sounded unfriendly, she didn't even bother to take down my name NOTHING) The day of my appointment I walk in and said sorry I'm so sorry I'm late with a smile very friendly and she's like "yep we already took someone" i thought to myself wow only a few minutes late and she took someone ? which I thought was weird but what was weirder was She didn't even look up at me!!! It was SO RUDE!! Luckily I was understanding that I was late. Mind you this place was completely dead quiet. I asked may I reschedule very nicely . This place can be a hit or miss. First of, I would like to know who regulates these types of massage places, these women who work in them I am beyond sure they do not have the credentials the state of New Jersey mandates. That aside, you may go there and get really lucky to have a "masseuse" who knows what she's doing or you can have the horrible misfortune of having one who leaves your entire body bruised because of their poor training. There is no reason I should have my back covered with bruises after a massage other than poor training. They are like robots who are programmed to just go as hard as humanly possible on you even when you complain and ask them to go softer. Perfect place to just relax. Its part "pedicure" part clothed massage. They scrub your feet and lotion you up, then the chairs lay flat and you get an over the clothes massage . First let me start by saying the massages are amazing and is the only reason Im giving two stars. Me and my wife go here about 5-10 times a year and we by at least 10 gift certificates for family and friends for Christmas. That being said on multiple occasion Jenny (who I believe is the manager) has been very rude to us. They have a suggested tip which is fine but if you don't give that amount for any reason Jenny would give you the worse attitude. It seems the suggested gratuity is forced rather than suggested. Also I bought a friend of mine a certificate in 2019, she couldn't go in 2020 due to the pandemic. When she arrived there earlier this week Jenny was extremely rude to her telling her that the prices have changed and she must pay the difference. I would not recommend this place, it is not cozy at all and you hear all the noise from the bodega next door and the traffic outside. They have a giant tv playing depressing news. When asked for the tv to be turned off or to have the channel changed they pretend not to speak English, when you know they understand you. You try to close your eyes to relax but the light coming from the tv is so bright that you have no choice. This is a SPA with a giant TV? Seems a little confused to me. I live close by and have been eyeing this place for awhile. I was just curious. So my mom bought me a gift card since she knew I was aching all over. For $60, I got 90min full body massage. I think that's pretty reasonable. Like what other reviewers have pointed out, you can hear everything. But it didn't bother me as much. It may get bothersome if you're getting a full body and the person in the slot next to you is a yapper (because the room is divided by a curtain). I think there's an upstairs component too. Because while I was getting my massage, I heard a group come down and before I left one of the ladies asked a customer if she wanted to get her massage downstairs or upstairs. I can tell this place is popular for the older working crowd wanting to come in and relax. There is always someone getting a foot massage. And I can tell it gets busy. So don't worry, the place ain't shady. I suggest making an appointment before you go to save you a trip. I walked in at first and they asked if I can come back later (45minutes later) since I wanted a long massage. No biggie. Everyone I encountered were pleasant. I've been here twice before and had good massages but the masseuse I asked for doesn't work there anymore and I was promised someone equally good who could give a proper deep tissue massage. I got a guy masseuse but I had to keep asking him to go stronger and felt bad he was huffing and puffing so asked if I could reduce the time which he agreed to. It wasn't deep tissue at any level but then they went over the time and asked if I just wanted to pay for the whole hour. I felt so embarrassed but just wanted to pay for the reduced time and get out of there. I shouldn't be made to feel bad if the service isn't upto par. For the price you can't go wrong, but you get what you pay for. We enjoyed the $70 one hour foot massage and one hour hot stone massage. Let me start off by telling you there is a HUGE language barrier, I called to make an apt. and they were unable to understand any questions I had, same issue when we arrived. The location was cold and drafty on a main road, so you can hear cars and traffic and just when I could relax I heard the door slam from the place next door. We had 5 reservations and took up all the chairs, they should have had a front desk person or put a sign on the front because they kept stopping to speak to customers who walked in, taking time away from our services. We then went to the body massage area, instead of using sheets to cover you its a cheap short towel, the bed didn't seem sanitary because they even use an old pillow that smelled a bit like smoke, for being a "Spa" they had no robes or any comforts, but like I said you get what you pay for. They call it hot stone but hot stones were used once for a few seconds, after comparing notes with my friends everyone had the same feel, very chincy on the lotion and cold drafty environment. If you pay in cash you don't get charged tax, on of the girls used a card and the lady that rang us up said "next time bring cash" then when she was about to sign for the tip she asked if she could give the tip in cash, "go to ATM' and then TOLD us that we had to tip at least $20 since it was a two hour service. I felt this was rude , 20 percent tip would have been $14, I am a member of the fountain spa and when asked if you want to add gratuity they add 20%. We all gave a 20 tip but it definitely cheapened the experience. At the end of the day you get what you pay for,it wasn't a spa experience, absolutely no frills. read more

It is a somewhat humble storefront-looking business but when you walk in it's another world. Lovely and very, very, very clean! Every employee was cleaning something and they all wore masks - customers do not need to. My daughter and I thought it would be fun to be together so we had "a room for two" rather than individual rooms. It was on the second floor so we really got a good look at the whole building and I can tell you everything was pristine. In almost every sense of the word, this is a mini spa. Comfortable, padded tables, soft towels, oils, hot stones ...... it goes on and on. We had the 60-minute full-body massage ($50 each) as this was our first time and it was excellent. Deep pressure with slow movements and the result is a very professional job. It is relaxing and quiet with soft background music. These girls know what they are doing and have the Koren touch to be an excellent masseuses. You will be thrilled and say "that was money well spent". $15.00 mandatory tip for a 60-hour massage - cash. The massage can be paid by cash or credit card. Huge parking lot so don't worry about parking. YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE and without flying to Korea this is your next choice. Promise, pinky swear! We had a relaxing time and every centimeter of my foot, ankle, and calf was deeply massaged. Your feet are first put into a warm tub of water with sea salt, then you are covered in a blanket, and your feet car covered with a soft towel. Next, they recline you on their huge reclining chair so you are comfortable. The creams come out next and the 45 minutes of pleasure begin. My eyes were shut the entire time and I could have fallen to sleep but did not because I didn't what to miss a thing. They offer 30, 45, 60-minute foot massages plus a combination package of a full body massage and foot massage. We were 100% pleased with the quality of the massage. The girls did not just lightly rub or scratch our feet they kneaded into the pressure points and muscles. It was a super 45 minutes at Cozy Foot. I think my daughter and I are going to make this a weekly treat to have our bodies and feet feel like a million bucks. I want to mention again that the place is super clean and everyone is friendly. The lady at the front desk said "welcome back and it's nice to see you" when my daughter and I walked through the front door. How great is that that you are remembered after being there only one time before? They appreciated your business and try very hard to make you feel happy. I can't speak highly enough of Cozy Foot Spa. The business is professionally run with extremely high standards of professionalism and cleanliness, especially with Covid protocols in mind (the entire staff js also fully vaccinated). The staff is warm and hard working and never try to skimp on a full session (no nonsense with shaving off time at the beginning/end of sessions). The entire space is kept immaculately clean and is lovingly cared for. The reflexology and body massage is extremely therapeutic and therapists are very responsive to requests. They also incorporate hot stones in their treatments which is always a winner. As for negative reviews about suggested tipping, it is indeed more than 20%, with the suggestion being $10 for 1 hr reflexology and $15 for 1hr body. However, when you look at how much you are saving on the treatment compared to competitors and how hard the therapists work, this is more than reasonable. I had the intention of reserving for the following evening, but they told me they had an availability at 9pm that night. 1- I am super excited this place is only up the block from my house. 2- The staff was very friendly and made me even more excited to be there. During the massage process I felt immediately relaxed. The lady that I had, I forgot her name, released all of the tension that I had in shoulders and buttocks. Massage was decent but when it got to the last phase of it (my head), the alarm went off, and the lady rushed off and completed my session in one minute. Her 60 minutes of work was ruined by her fear of giving me a few extra minutes to properly complete the session. I usually tip based on quality of service and best effort. So instead of leaving 25%, I gave a minimum 15% and made note of lady's name, so that I pick a different masseuse on my next visit. I was informed that they have a mandatory minimum tip amount with each massage which is above 30%! It was a note by the register counter that you only see when you are ready to pay. I've been here before for the foot massage, and that was amazing, so yesterday I thought I'd try out the 30 min massage. HUGE MISTAKE. Whoever my masseuse was put me through SO much pain! I get that its supposed to hurt sometimes, but not like this... I kept saying ow and told her that I need her to lighten up with the pressure because its hurts so bad, but she just kept on using the same pressure. A 30 minute massage never felt so long! I thought I was going to cry from the pain and kept expressing it, I mean I'm pretty sure she could feel me tense up! Pain has only gotten worst.. I've had to take pain killers, put ice on my back, and take off work today. I can't believe that a masseuse would not first communicate and ask about pressure, and then continue to hurt me after I told her it hurt really bad. After years getting massages (high end and affordable like these) I have NEVER experienced a pain like this. I regret getting a massage here so bad! I can't sleep on my back or sit with anything on it because of the pain. It feels like my entire back is swollen and bruised. absolutely awful.
