cox is fading out. i was paying about 120 for tv/internet just 2 years ago. also paying 150 for my business. now, both are well over 320 and climbing. dropped the tv part at home. but, with the business i was told it auto recontracts every year??? what?? without my consent!! as soon as i can i am gone. not worth the price. $320/month just for phones/one fax line. We setup service through Cox's quick connect service. We went to this location to pickup the modem. The person who gave us the modem changed our work order, lowering the speed & raising the price from the originally agreed upon contract. Despite having screenshots & emails confirming what we originally scheduled, no one at the store or customer service could switch us to the originally agreed upon plan. We talked to multiple reps via chat & over the phone, they just said the rep wouldn't have had a reason to change the work order. And no one had access to the online deals so they couldn't switch the account back to the previous work order. (The online deals on their company's website mind you, not third party.) I asked what reason I would have to agree to one thing, and then without notice switch to a slower package for more money, but thats not their problem. Cox does not care about you, your time, or the law, since this is the definition of a bait & switch. I cancelled service & returned the equipment, and the people working in the store acted like I was bothering them. I wouldn't recommend Cox and especially not this location to you, your dog, or your enemies' dog. Please save yourself multiple days of phone calls & chats where they try to sell you mobile service or different packages, the discounts online aren't real. Even if they are real, as long as the agent leaves notes like "Customer request change" -they will not respect the agreed to terms of service. read more

They don't even deserve a one star...THEY LIE ...I came home called tech support had my phone activated in 5 minutes...they told me it would come on automatically. They made me miss my Grandsons football game because of their lies holding me there. The manager is a gaslighter telling me to go somewhere else . . When he seen I wasn't going anywhere he starts saying I. Trying to help.....after that he writes something on his laptop and gets another employee to help me ... he knew I didn't trust him. The past 2-3 days I've been dealing with the worst internet service I can imagine.. constantly dropped packets, slowed connection for no reason, data caps??, and when I finally contacted them about the bad service they were having some "issues" already so they blamed it on that instead of trying to find out what my issue is so now I have to bring the modem into the store so they can "fix" it. They can't tell me what broke or why they couldn't just do it remotely but hey it's Cox and they really don't give a shit about you. If you have any other options than this shit ass business then explore those first. read more

The WHOLE time we've had cox it was absolutely terrible and did not work at all, when we cut the service off over the phone, they billed me for the next month and asked for "proof." This is the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. No exaggeration. I've reset my modem everyday since they plugged it all in and called multiple times to try and resolve the issue. Without even offering to send someone out and check my equipment or connection, they said the only thing that can be done is to UPGRADE to they're new Gigablast that they offer for $40 extra dollars a month. They lied to my face when I tried to sign up for internet and told me the $50 a month 150mb deal doesn't exist and I would have to pay $80 a month. Treated me like I was stupid until I pulled the ad up in my phone and showed it to her. She also lied and told me I had to rent a modem even though I have my own modem claiming "you have to rent a modem to make sure your internet is works". Blah, blah. If I could choose my internet service, I'd go with someone else. read more

Kentell ruined my life. We had our WiFi working perfectly fine and went to get a cable box, and Kentell's bright idea was to get rid of our internet plan and only give us cable. I'm disgusted. read more

This is the worst communications provider. Entirely unprofessional. They can ruin your credit in a flash. They fouled up my bill and sent me to collections 6 months after I left the area and closed my account. I tried numerous times to resolve the issue each time being told they couldn't help me. They are happy to bill you but if you need a question answered or a problem to be resolved you are out of luck. No one is competent enough to handle any real issues. I would never recommend them as a communications provider. Be aware if they choose to make a billing mistake you have no recourse. read more

Awful, awful experience as usual with Cox. Moving is a headache. They first couldn't get my box to work. When they finally did and left, I found out they gave me the incorrect box. Now I have to GO BACK IN and swap them out and get the correct box. They also charged me for all the services I was supposed to have, even though I didn't have them because they gave me the wrong box! I wish I remembered the names of everyone who messed this up! read more

There was quite a line when I arrived, they take your name down and there is a list on screen of the next ten to be served. I was around 15th in line and was helped with in less than 10 minutes so not bad at all. It was a much better process than anytime I have to call for support/help for sure. read more

I only use Cox b/c my complex won't let me put up a dish. It will be 11 months until I cancel my service with them and God I can't wait to make that phone call. A fun bet would be to see if I can make that phone call without grinning like an idiot out of sheer happiness that I don't have to put up with the ineptitude that is Cox Communications ever again read more
