All these hidden one time charges and "I can walk you through the pdf" and rudely "as I just explained the pdf has this" no Kevin I'm not the incompetent one! I know how to read and listen! Everything is an add on for their mistakes. There used to be a loyalty department that cared and would do the right thing. Being a loyal customer for years no longer matters but they will tell you every lie about other companies like Spectrum, Verizon and Charter to stay with their service. The few positive reviews I'm seeing are probably employees being paid to do them. Do yourself a favor and look the other way! And when you get the surveys on your representative make sure you do them because that affects their raise and bonus and they don't deserve

Also service you receive are less than what you already had. I switched 6 lines from t-mobile and sorry I did so. Locked in for 2 years or need to pay for phones at retail price to cancel. They say you're not locked in but you really are. To add further insult to lies about monthly cost, I was lied to about trade in values I would receive for 4 iPhones. DO NOT TRUST. Only reason I switched was for the FirstNet service but was only worth it to me if I was able to stay on budget. Again, I was quoted they would match t-mobile. My bill is now $58 more per month and no longer have unlimited high speed on all lines.

If you work the figures it is about $39,600 just for the privilege of watching TV! When I signed up for satellite service I was looking for an alternative to cable at, what I considered to be, a reasonable cost. Those packages and fees have gone up steadily, by quite a lot, in the last few years. Each time the cost of a package goes up I try and make up for it by downgrading to a cheaper one. Most recently, yesterday. It didn't save much, so I gave up the Genie service. DTV removed the Genie system at my request. I expected that my previous receivers would be restored. The main receiver was exchanged. However, my two other receivers were not. They offered to SELL them back to me @ $99 each! After all these years, why am I still being forced into an extension of service for downgrading to a different receiver? Do I sound upset? You bet I am. Their web page says "Why Direct TV". I'm wondering that myself. Since there are other ways of receiving programming. I'm getting out as soon as they release me from bondage.

You have to keep your hand on your wallet with these people…read more I signed on with DirecTV in August 2018. My sole income is SS, so every dollar counts. The sales agent I spoke with assured me that my monthly bills would be about $60 (actually, it was $59.45). I felt I could swing that okay, so I signed up for a year. The bill for September was as stated: $59.45. The bill for October was over $80. I have spoken with DirecTV representatives on several occasions, to no avail. My bill for November was $75. Despite my objections, they always insist that the charges are correct. I can eat a lot more peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches, so I can make the payments. But my question is this: did the original sales agent lie to me just to get my business? Or, did they not know what they were doing? Either way, I'm stuck for another nine months. This is just a warning to others.
