Had a busted spring. Called them on a Friday. Told them my problem. They came out Monday and fixed our springs and recommended a few other things that we let them do to prevent future problems. Thought I could do it myself but after watching him calibrate the weight to spring tension, there's no way I could have done it with out the proper equipment. Very professional. Will use them again. All this was for a client who lived in Austin, TX. They accepted payment by credit card over the phone. read more

I had a spring break on my garage door Saturday and called Your Garage Door Guy. Adam arrived right on time Sunday and was fantastic to work with. Before doing anything, he thoroughly inspected all the moving parts and didn't try to pressure me into buying additional parts or services. He actually pointed out that the rest of the components were still in good working condition and proceeded with just replacing the broken springs. The repair itself was completed in just over an hour, and Adam was both professional and clearly very skilled at what he does. After finishing the job, he even took the time to show me how to properly grease the moving parts so the new springs will last longer. The pricing from Your Garage Door Guy was very reasonable, and I really appreciated that there were no extra weekend charges. Great service, honest work, and a knowledgeable technician. Adam arrived promptly at the appointed time.He was congenial and very knowledgeable. Within 5 minutes he had pinpointed what was going to be necessary to have my garage door in operable condition. He carefully diagnosed the problem and likely causes. After getting our approval for the repair and cost, he got right to work. Alex is experienced, knowledgeable and courteous. He had appointments available after my normal work time. He was prompt. Explained the situation. He showed me the total costs of 6 separate options to replace my antiquated opener. 7 if you include showing me how to fix it myself with eBay parts if I could find them. He even explained the pros and cons of each one. I feel like he gave us a great deal on the unit we chose. We got a great value as well as fast and friendly installation. I simply cannot recommend Alex enough! He deserves 10 stars but they'll only let me give him 5! read more

Not only do they not have your best interest in mind but any money you spend with them will be offloaded to a private equity firm in another state.

After quoting me $1,100 for two new 207 springs, I agreed, having no understanding of what would be a reasonable price would be. Halfway through the installation he calls me out to say that the entire system is old and should be replaced. He also recommended an entirely new door as well, said the whole deal would be about $4,000. I pressed him on exactly what was wrong with the current system that necessitated such an extensive overhaul and in the exchange he admitted he makes a commission so he benefits from overselling services that aren't needed. I told him I would think it over and to just finish the repair and I'll deal with the rest later. I walked straight to my computer and started calling other companies and every single one laughed when I explained what happened. The quoted price from multiple places was ~$500 for the same repair. I was able to order and entirely new setup (door, motor, rails, the works) for less than $2,500 at Overhead Door in Broken Arrow. A1 was egregiously overpriced, they tried to sell services that I didn't need, and then as a fear tactic asked me to sign a liability waiver that if anything was damaged because of a failure, they weren't liable. I will never use A1 again and I'll never recommend them to anyone. Go give Sean a call at Overhead Doors and save yourself the headache and money.

I had a broken spring on my two-car garage door. The unexpected 'bang' that sounded like a gunshot, then seeing that your garage door would no longer operate, was an unplanned visit to Google and Yelp to search the reviews to find someone to fix it for me. I have worked with big chain companies before, and I prefer locally owned and operated businesses that rely on good reviews (which they have to earn) for this type of home repair. I found Alex at "Your Garage Door Guy" here on Yelp and sent a request for a free quote. Today is Saturday, and I thought it would be mid-week next week before I could get someone to quote the job, order the parts, and get my door working again. To my surprise, I had a text from Alex within five minutes of my request for the quote online. Alex came out within an hour or so, provided the free quote, checked his inventory, and told me he could take care of the issue right then. He had the needed spring and parts with him and got me back to working order within an hour. His price was reasonable, and he did excellent work. My garage door's spring broke today and I was trapped at home. I called Alex at YGDG and his boss was able to come straight over. He replaced springs, some bearings, cracked hinges, reset a new code to my outside garage opener keypad, lubed everything, even set my car up so the button on the mirror would open the door. 2-1/2 hours, it was all done and I was able to leave my house. Two jobs I've hired this company for, and have been very pleased. They are professional, very kind, respectful and polite, clean cut and clean clothes, The results are great, they clean up any remaining bits lying around, and immediately email the statement to you before even leaving your property. We recommend Alex 100%! He is very knowledge, trustworthy, honest, has reasonable prices, and has excellent customer service. We recently moved to Oklahoma. Bought a house and the garage door stopped working. We called a garage door company to come out and they told us we needed new springs, wheels, and rails. Then we called Alex for a second opinion. He told us right up front nothing needed to be replaced. It was all brand new. He noticed the rails were uneven and needed to be adjusted.
