The price was competitive, the tech was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. They didn't try to up-sell but did have the parts on hand for my last minute addition of replacement rollers. I was happy with the service and price so went ahead and had him do my 2nd (had not yet failed) garage door in order to prevent a future issue. Only thing to be aware of is they use a service to take the incoming calls. Not a problem but understand the first person you speak with is really just collecting your info to send to the actual tech. The phone person will have no real knowledge of the product or trouble shooting and they will have to defer to an on-site tech. My worry was that without understanding my issue the tech would not have the correct parts when he arrived. That was not an issue, he seemed well stocked with everything needed for my repair.

Then it dawned on me the garage door spring just broke. Add looking for garage door repair to the list. I called a few reliable friends and checked Yelp (of course). Discount Garage Door was the best choice apparently. Called them and was impressed with the receptionist/dispatcher. She told me that a tech would be available 24 hours later. When does that ever happen? Jay shows up on time with a smile. (When does that ever happen?) He took one look at my busted spring and said,"Yep, broken spring." He then explained that the builder had used the wrong spring for our door, which is common because they like to save money wherever they can. Jay then quoted a price below what I expected and that the job would be done correctly in 40 minutes. It actually took him 38 minutes. Bottom line, better service at a fair price done correctly and promptly.
