First time visit - 4 stars. I like Cowboy Jacks. I'd classify them as a high end bar/restaurant, with a cowboy theme, that pays a lot of extra attention to their food and menu. This is the second location I've checked out. I like the décor, the service was excellent, and the food was good. I also really like the life sized metal horse sculpture outside (see photo). I started things off with Cowboy Jack's Wings. The wings were good. For the entree, we both ordered the Ribeye Special, featuring a 16 ounce cut of beef. The steaks had great flavor and they were cooked-to-order perfectly. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It was easy to eat low-carb, keto, carnivore-style at Cowboy Jacks. The wings & the steaks definitely worked. My only complaint is you can't get the meat "a la carte" and they force you to purchased plant based sides. I got 2 sides of french fries and I fed them to the squirrels in my backyard at home...I didn't want a big starch bomb that would definitely spike the heck out of my glucose and my insulin levels. No thanks! So the sides were a complete waste for both of us. Overall, I had a nice experience at Cowboy Jacks. As a carnivore, I probably wouldn't go back and I'd just grill a giant 2 inch thick Prime ribeye at home for half the price of a restaurant. But if you're keto and if you want to socialize, this restaurant is a good option for you. -Maxx

Go during happy hour from 3-6pm!! Select apps are half off like the cheese curds (some of the best I've ever had) and the chicken quesadilla. Also Wednesdays is burger night which is $3 for a burger then .50 cents a topping which is a great deal because the burger is big. DO NOT get the boneless wings!! I paid $12 for 6 boneless wings and 4 pieces of tiny celery, it is not worth it.

I don't know if it was staffing issues or what but we seated ourselves as indicated by the sign and no one came to our table for ver 15 minutes. We ordered the sloppy jacks sliders and pesto chicken flatbread. The chicken on the flatbread was gross. It tasted like super stringy rotisserie chicken. The sloppy sliders were congealed and seemed old. Will probably never re

I go to Cowboy Jacks often, especially in the summertime, and this location was just okay compared to other locations in the Twin Cities. I like to go during happy hour because they have the best HH deals in town. Half price on select appetizers (marked with a little symbol in the menu) and $2 taps & rails from 3-6pm or after 10pm every day of the week. I expect this time to always be busy however, the Plymouth location seems to not handle the high volume as well as the other Cowboy Jacks' I've been to. Their wait staff don't seem to communicate very well and the service is slow. If you're trying to snag a patio seat during busy times, best of luck and try to go early. We came in and waited for nearly 20 minutes before someone even came over to us to ask if we wanted to be seated indoors or outdoors. We requested outdoors and it took another 10 minutes for someone to come back and tell us that the tables were all full. At this point, there was a small line building behind us, and those customers also were hoping to sit outside, so it disappointed all of us. We ended up at the bar and the service there was a bit quicker, but I couldn't help but think the staff could be more attentive in general. It made it even more irritating that there was a customer at the bar trying to ask my friend what ethnicity I was; it made for an all around uncomfortable experience, and no one seemed to bat an eye at how weird he was being. I will stick to other Cowboy Jack's locations as they have the same happy hour as this one does. This one doesn't have anything special to offer, the staff move at snail speed, and their wings are good but you can easily get better wings at the other CJ's or elsewhere. They also don't offer lasso fries any more so I was big sad about that.

    Done eating and sooooo happy!

How cow am I glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews!!!! This was an incredible experience! Our server, Erik, was a the best! The food was amazing. The atmosphere on the patio was so good and the other customers made it feel like old home week! I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Everything from the best ribs I've ever had to same rated flatbread to the healthier cauliflower rice bowl was soooooo good!!!!!

The place was well kept and the staff are super attentive. There are 2 staff in the room to break up any dogs that need it. They are redirecting dogs and picking up after them as well. We felt like our pup was being very well taken care of. They have a dog menu too! There are multiple nights with themes or specials on food. We'll be back for sure!

This happened in July, and I have been trying since then to have them meet me at least halfway with the expenses. However, after multiple attempts to address this and sending them my invoices, the Brew Park manager assured me that her upper leadership was still looking into things, but that there had been a "death in the family." I can respect a family loss and was patient, but after subsequent follow ups, I was given the same excuse each time, and never heard a word from "leadership". I followed up again last week, and finally heard from Jake Henninger (Director of Business and Staff Development,) 6 months after the fact, and the excuses abounded.....yes sorry, actually we had 2 deaths in the family, and oh, sorry we never got your (multiple) messages from the manager and by the way she doesn't work here anymore (convenient), and finally, the groomer just contracts with us (therefore, not really our problem). I explained that the services of their 3rd party/contracted affiliates are under their brand, but he didn't seem to care. Last week he said he'd agree to pay for the first vet visit ($130,) and I said I would also at least like a full refund for the grooming services plus tip ($200)... In total, this would be $330. He agreed to get back to me on "Monday" this week, after speaking to their groomer. He did not. So I followed up today and was met with more excuses (was waiting to receive the invoices from the vet, because they weren't attachments I could open...even though he was reading the invoices to me last week). Then, he tells me they will refund me $250. I told him this is not we'd discussed last week and asked him several times if he'd even spoken to the groomer but he refused to answer me. This is not even 50% of my out-of-pocket costs. Actually, the grooming service with the vet costs would be $900+! I can assure you, if you look at this place, they are making hand over fist. I let them know from the beginning I'm not "trying to get rich," off of this, but am asking for reasonable reimbursement. Yet in spite of them causing the issue, neglecting to tell me about the injuries, ignoring me for 6 months and blaming everyone and everything else, I've declined their offer and will be pursuing this in small claims court. A lot of unnecessary time wasted. Am I the only one, or does it seem like "customer service" has taken a complete nosedive since Covid? So disappointing.

The place was already busy right when they opened at 11, which is usually a good sign--and it definitely felt like a well-liked local spot. The atmosphere is very classic bar and grill with lots of seating, TVs, and a comfortable, casual feel. I ordered the chicken parmesan and French Onion Soup, and both were really good. The French Onion Soup had a rich, well-developed flavor, and the cheese on top had a slight sharp "funk" to it that actually worked really well. It added a little extra depth instead of just being heavy. The Chicken Parmesan tasted fresh and satisfying, with a good balance of sauce and breading. It had that comforting, homemade Italian-style feel rather than something overly processed. Overall, I would come back. It's not fancy, but it's a solid, reliable stop with good portions and flavors--especially if you're in the area or heading to a movie nearby.

Frankly, I'm shocked that this is my first review of Sunshine Factory because I've been here…read moreliterally dozens of times over the last 20 plus years, and that doesn't even include when they used to be in New Hope. I have always thought very highly of Sunshine Factory; it's packed every night, so do a lot of other people. (If you don't have a reservation and you come in after 4:45 pm on evening, be prepared for a wait.) The food had always been consistently excellent, and the service always had been (and is) fantastic. They must do a great job of finding and training wait staff because the are always friendly and efficient, and fill your drinks when they are even half full. Unfortunately, they have really shortened their menu offerings and I feel quality has slipped. It's true that this location seemed to be more casual than the old location, but the menu was comparable up until late in 2025, when they revamped and shortened the menu considerably. It now seems more bar-food oriented and more like Applebees or Chili's than what it used to be. I feel like Sunshine Factory has switched its business model from high-end diner to middle of the road food, because of a lack of choices and food quality that suffers in comparison to even a year ago. For example, I ordered the special that night, which was meatloaf. The plate came with corn and pieces of red bell pepper, a couple of slabs of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy. The taste of the meatloaf was meh because it was overcooked and dry. The corn looked great, but had the taste of canned corn (not even frozen corn). The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent; I just wish the other items on the plate were as good. (I've noticed this decline over my last few visits and no longer feel this is a one-off situation). I have no idea, but I feel that Sunshine Factory has consciously decided to downgrade its selection (the menu is probably a third of the old offerings) and quality, although service remains high. Although it is consistently crowded with returning guests, they run the risk of other people coming to the same conclusion, which will eventually erode the success they have had for decades. I know that the restaurant business is competitive and difficult, but you can't ride on your prior success long-term. I would love nothing more than to see them return to the variety and quality that they are (or were) known for.

Onto the food - I probably should have stopped at the Bloody Mary, but I was not to be deterred. I ordered the Wagyu Mushroom Burger, and my dining partner ordered the half BLT with a cup of French Onion Soup. The burger was really disappointing. I will say the burger was perfectly made and cooked, but the sauteed mushrooms completely took over the flavor of the burger. Paying a premium price for some ground beef, it should be front and center. I won't order that again. The BLT was wonderful, and everything you'd expect. thick bacon with the right amount of lettuce and tomato, with avocado to add a creamy overtone. The French Onion soup was the best thing we were served. I would come back here again just for that.
