    The gates to yum!

Ever since this place was added to mills market we have been wanting to check it out. It was amazing! Nozzled in on the side of mills market you can smell the distinct scent of Japanese style curry. They serve a hearty portion of beef curry and sticky wite rice The curry has potatoes, carrots and very tender beef in. They have some options to add as toppings. When I ordered the chicken karaage topping I thought it was a bit overpriced, but it was perfectly made (still a bit more Chicken would have been nice). The staff was very nice and explained how it all worked and the options clearly. The food was great, pair this with some onigiri from Uni girl and you will stuffed and happy!

Finally gave them a try! They specialize in Japanese style Curry. They're have one curry that has a tiny bit of a kick. It's not spicy! Just enough to know it's there! The customization comes from the toppings you can get. I went with the basic, no add ons (most of the add ons are fried, and I didn't want the carbs). The lady running the counter was very sweet and explained everything about the curry, the spice level and how to customize. They're one of the spots in Mills Market, so finding seating is a challenge. It's community seating for all the vendors in the market. It was pretty tasty, definitely worth a try!

I'm so excited that Cowboy Curry has daily hours now! I'm so hyped for them! I absolutely love this place. It's truly a crown jewel of Mills Market. The stand is cute and clean. The staff are welcoming and work fast. The curry is absolutely show stopping. The rice is fluffy. The beef curry is tender and rich with so much flavor. They give you plenty of tender beef, carrots, and potatoes in your serving. I always add the fried cheese croquette. It's my absolute favorite topping. I also love the fried ebi. The batter is so crispy and the shrimp are tender. I'm obsessed!

    Cute packaging!

The curry was flavorful with large chunks of beef and vegetables. We got a side of menchikatsu, which was like a scotch egg without the egg. The pictures of the rice online got me a little worried, but it was actually fluffy and soft short grain rice, cooked beautifully. When I got to the counter to order, the cashier was also speaking with a fun cowboy southern accent and that was goofy and fun. The staff was all donning cowboy hats, which added to the whole schtick. Overall, I would considering ordering here again, but it is rather expensive. I might just get the curry base next time, since each add on is like between $3 - $8. It is also disappointing that they are only open during pop up times and days, so it's tough to time out, especially if you're craving curry.

Tried Cowboy Curry for the first time on a rare chilly evening in Orlando and it was a nice, cozy meal. We added the chicken katsu to our bowl. The crispiness of the katsu perfectly soaked up the savory curry broth. The carrots, potatoes, and beef chunks were cooked to chopstick tenderness with a hint of spice; very well rounded. It was a Monday evening, therefore Mills Market was much less crowded than normal which made our experience even better. The service at Cowboy Curry was notable as the cashier took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight some guest favorites. There were some sold out items that we would have liked to try, so we will be back!

They are one of the stalls in Mills Market. The people working there were very nice and explained the food. Every bowl starts with rice and beef curry. The curry has chunks of beef and some veg like carrots in it. You than can add additional protein on top. I got the chicken. This made my bowl over $20. The chicken Katsu was dry and stringy. The curry was someone what bland.

Fun collaborative food haul atmosphere inside of Mills Market. The restaurant can be hard to catch while it's open, so you may want to go earlier in the day! The curry was rich, savory, and flavorful, while the hojicha was the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Ok so I ordered uber delivery from this place 5-6 times. All the previous times were all good . Good portion good meat to veggies ratio . Everything was warm and tasty. Average 6-7 cubes of beef to 6-7 cubes of potatoes/carrot ratio. I just ordered another beef curry today . I was so disappointed and devastated. After digging in with my chopsticks and fished around, I was surprised and incredulous that there was only 3 beef cubes to 7-8 potatoes:carrot cubes . I was so sad and disappointed. I was looking so forward to a nice bee curry and had only 3 cubes of steaks . Why would they and universe did this to me ? I always been nice and good. Like earlier today I walked to Publix, a small midget homeless lady asked money for food. I gently declined and asked what would you like to eat? She said chicken . I bought her a family pack of fried chicken for 10.99 and sweet Hawaiian rolls and a 2 liter bottle of of grape soda. I bought myself grapes and ruffle potato chips. I left Publix and handed her her chicken/soda/and rolls. I thought the universe would reward me with a bowl of heart beef cowboy curry. Alas woe me! It was not meant to be .

My friend ordered me the beef curry from Cowboy Curry and I am completely and absolutely obsessed. I tried their potato and cheese croquette and it was INSANELY good. I would 1000% percent eat there again. The flavor of the curry was so good it had the perfect spice level to and the cheese croquette was so crunchy and perfect. I loved how tender the meet was. That really did a good job!

We have been wanting to try cowboy curry for a bit now. Every time I came here they were always sold out. During soft opening I was able to come on a Monday early evening and was happy they were not sold out. I ordered a curry with chicken kaarage and menchikatsu add on. My son ordered a curry with Wagyu katsu. Waited a few minutes for our food. Came out at a reasonable time. There were lots of open seats so we dined in. We were both underwhelmed with the curry sauce. The portion was good as I was only able to finish half my meal. But something was missing for me in the curry sauce. It seemed like beef gravy with some curry flavor. Underwhelming overall.

    Elizabeth L.

I can during the soft opening and the first customers in line got a free dessert so that is cool but got the curry with cheese, chicken and meatball. I enjoyed everything but come out early it gets busy and can be a long line to get food and it's hard to find parking too.

The BEST Japanese curry in town, without a doubt. This is their first pop-up and first service. The stand is permanent at Mills Market but only open via pop-up, so follow their Instagram @cowboycurryfl for their schedule. According to the team, the curry took 4 days to make using all fresh ingredients, lots of vegetables, and no added thickeners. The thickness of the curry comes solely from simmering everything for 4 days, and it tasted divine! There's one base curry with beef, and you can choose add-ons and side dishes (see the menu in the picture). I chose to add menchikatsu, Wagyu katsu, ebi fry, potato egg salad, and their mango mocktail drink. Everything was fantastic and well worth the wait. There was no set price at the first service; they asked customers to pay what they thought the food was worth, based solely on an honor system, which was a surprise. Hope to see more pop-ups soon since I already can't wait to eat more of their curry!

Great spot! The curry was flavorful and the beef was soft. I added the Menchikatsu, which is a must! I do wish there was a spicy version but this was amazing nonetheless.

You can tell they pay attention to quality because the flavor profile stays consistent each time. Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

Service is quick and the food is fantastic. I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.
