The cook on this pork was memorable.
Art H.

It's a weird place. In a not-so-sexy part of town over there in that constantly churning highwayland near Full Sail. But the food they're serving here is unique and delicious. The restaurant itself if themed around anime and more specifically Dragonball Z. So kids are going to love it. Kids will especially love the Japanese sodas and treats they serve. Other than the anime themed decor the place is rather stark. And the service is too. It's really more of a quick-serve, order at the counter kind of place, than it is a legitimate restaurant. But they're known for their tonkotsu ramen and for good reason. The flavors are perfect. The cook on the pork is almost like a sear, providing a nice grilled flavor to the broth. My kids and I destroyed it. And yes, this place gets 5-stars. We'd drive to go there. And you should too. It's deliciously weird!

This was a great experience and I love ramen! The karaage was also delicious and not too far from Full Sail University, which is why we stopped in! Delicious and would love to come back!

Eveyone here is really friendly and nice. The service was great I got served right away. The food is also good I got the tonkotsu ramen and it was delicious. For my appetizer I got the pork bun and it was also really good. If you're looking for a place that combines anime and food this is the place for you. It's all decked out in manga panels and art with jpop playing.

The decor in this restaurant is A1!!! The overall aura of the place is very anime-centric, which would trick you into thinking it was food would be mediocre. I'm pleasantly glad to say that it was pretty damn flavorful and I overall enjoyed my ramen. I will note, for anyone that has a sensitive stomach, it is pretty salty. While the broth was good, the pork was a bit...ehhh. That's said, still a pretty good spot, just be careful if you have a sensitive stomach and can't handle overly salty too well.

First time here, came to try since my daughter loves coming here. I had the veggie Ramen. I was hoping for more veggies rather then nori, bamboo, tofu and some other stuff. I didnt care for all those toppings. Just wanted a plain veggie broth with Ramen. The flavor was ok. I also ordered coconut shrimp which were good. The restaurant is small but cute. Very clean and staff very polite and friendly. It wasent for me but at least tried it. A little on the expensive side

I brought my nephew here as he's into the Dragonball stuff. He loved everything about it. He loves the food, the atmosphere and the drinks. We tried several unique items and I must say everything was very flavorful and packed a punch. If it wasn't because I'm not a local I would for sure be here more often. Definitely worth trying

Guyysss, when I tell you this IS the spot for a delish baddie ramen bowl I am not messing around! I happen to read a ladies review on a foodie group that meets and she had said "it's the closest authentic ramen she has found since she last visited China". When I read that well it was enough to put my tastebuds to work. If you care more about food and you want to impress anyone this is your spot. When I came through the door my first impression though was like eh this will probably be ok ramen. I can admittedly be too picky. But it was a relief to me it wasn't in bouje town and I could really relax in a more laid back atmosphere and not worry about the next person watching me go in on my meal. They have those solo booths by the window if you so wish. Before I did my taste test I snapped a quick video not even knowing it would be the best I've had and I've had some good ones... I wish I got a quick chat w the chef to show my appreciation because the layers in the broth were perfection. I had the black ramen it wasn't too spicy but just the amount that enhances the flavor of the traditional tonkonsu. The noodles ah man not cold or luke warm, truly the perf hot temp that warms you right up. The egg and those yummy mushrooms and green onions they give you the exact amount for enhanced flavors. It also came w the bambo shoots nothing u had to pay to add! When I was ordering I saw some of the pork more browned than others in yelp pics so I got the idea to ask her if they can crisp it up like that and right away she was was like no problem how crispy/brown, so I showed her a picture of one. Best decision because it came out just like I wanted mm-mm, if you like your meat torched browned to give it the more crispy texture while still tender at the same time I suggest doing this since some spots seem to default to a less browned meat. Before I headed out I made sure to compliment that it was the best I've had and told her the story about the review. She then told me the chef there actually was from China and went to school in Japan to master ramen. Who would have known?

I wanted to bring my partner who loves Dragon Ball Z here! The staff were friendly and the place itself was clean and not too busy. The food was pretty good. It most definitely satisfied our ramen craving.

We were coming back from the Disney area and wanted to get something hot to eat after a cool evening. Ramen sounded great. This place is open late so in we went. We tried the rangoons and got our ramen. Overall, really good. The place has plenty of seating and is kept clean. Order at the counter and take a seat. Your food will be delivered in short order.

Taste: 5/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 If you're a Dragon Ball fan this place is a must-try, if you're not a fan I'd still say go and enjoy some awesome ramen! Given the theme I was skeptical of whether the food would actually be good or if this restaurant was relying on the decor to bring people in, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty our meal was! The ramen was delicious, very good broth and a generous portion of protein. Causal dining, you order at the counter and food is brought to the table when it's ready. Plenty of parking available.

Takoyaki 6 Pieces

I've had this place as a must go to for a while and I'm glad I finally made it there. It has such a tasteful approach for a themed anime restaurant. Vibes You order your food at the front and it's brought out to you, if you choose to dine in. The girl who helped me out was so helpful and cute! She was dressed like Dr. Slump I believe (I could also be wrong). She helped me pick out my ramen and it was a great recommendation. The takoyaki was very delicious - it's one of the fewer ones I've had that had a crispy outside. Yum It's a great place to grab a bite to eat and chill.

Atmosphere of restaurant

Sam was super helpful in suggesting and explaining the different options of ramen and menu overall. We had red miso ramen and veggie ramen and also an appetizer of Karaage, as well as some strawberry sake! All absolutely amazing! I had the spicy aspect and black garlic oil added to the veggie ramen and it kicked it up a notch. Stars of the show definitely were the Karaage and the strawberry sake but EVERY SINGLE THING tasted fresh and delicious!!! We will be back soon for sure!!!

Gyuniku Bowl
Annie N.

I was around the area and decided to try this since the reviews were pretty good! The interior is mainly Dragon Ball Z/anime themed which I thought was cute, and there were many seating options available. The employee taking my order was courteous. I ordered the Gyuniku bowl, which is one of their specials I believe, and it was really flavorful. I'm a big fan of rice bowls and its description sounded appetizing so I decided to try it, and I'm glad I did! It also came with a side of miso soup which was great as well. I will definitely be coming back here if I'm in the area since it's a nice and comfortable place to eat.

Got the curry ramen! It was OK. The broth lacked flavor honestly and probably won't get it again.

Their wings are so crispy, I think they're some of the best wings I've had. I also highly recommend their Tokyo Ramen. The chicken thighs in the ramen are crispy and have great flavor. I only wish there was more broth because it was so yummy. Food came out fast and service was great.

Amazing Japanese spot!!…read more Once you enter, you are met with a huge seating area including a bar where you can only get drinks. Most people in there are waiting for a table inside the main restaurant. Once we got called back, we sat at another bar area where you can see the kitchen. Very interesting layout. We started with the famous domu wings and I seriously will be thinking about the wings until I go back. So much flavor in those things. I love that the noodles are made in house so I wanted to try the ramen of course. I got the Richie Rich ramen which was tasteful but I wish you could choose to add some spice in it. Still great though. My sister got the tonkotsu with black garlic and she almost ate the entire thing. Also got some shishito peppers and that was also just as good as everything else. I kept seeing the lychee martini being ordered to I got that and it was as good as everyone mentioned. It does have popping boba at the bottom which I loved but I know not everyone likes it so just an fyi. My sister got the Roddy pom. The place is pretty small and they don't take reservations so be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. We got there 25 minutes after opening and waited 40 minutes. The parking gets filled fast along with overflow parking being full so be prepared to find a spot.

To start, they have a great Happy Hour 3-6 pm with a limited menu, but Sapporo drafts and local brews are under $5 each. That is a win right there. They also have beer and Sake flights. My Go to here is the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, but I have had the others and never a bad experience. There is something really welcoming about Jinya. I suspect they treat there staff well and hire the right people. Everytime I am here I feel like they are over staffed, but there are plenty of tables inside and out in this intimate venue. My two favorite happy hour dishes are the Salmon Pke Tacos and the Crispy Chicken. I used to live on Lake Eola Park and I so miss coming here. Glad I stumbled in here today.

The tofu was very soft and not my favorite in terms of flavor, but everything else in the Spicy Creamy V Ramen was delicious. I also tried the Impossible meat bao, but the texture of the meat was a bit too firm or overcooked for my liking, especially paired with the soft bao bun. That said, I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu, as there are so many options to choose from. Our server, Carl, was very friendly and attentive. I visited on a Friday evening, and the ambiance was relaxed yet lively, with plenty of groups enjoying dinner or drinks at the bar.

So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.
