There is a ton of outdoor seating that would be great during warmer weather. On to the food. Lots of burger choices and I settled on the western burger. It was absolutely delicious. The patty was decent sized made of quality beef. The bun was fresh and kept the burger together. Loved the way they wrapped the burger so it didn't get super messy. Fries are ordered separately and they give you a good portion size. Lots of dipping sauces to choices too. Lady working was super friendly. So was the guy who brought my food out to me. Prices were reasonable for what you get. There were a ton of cars in the drive thru but as we sat in our car and ate we noticed they are a well oiled machine getting cars in and out quickly. Would definitely hit this place up again if ever in the area.

We came in about 1:00 o'clock on a Tuesday so while the place was not busy, she did have a few things going on at once but was still very prompt and attentive. My fiancé and I split the zucchini fries and oh man, those were SO good!!! I'd go back just for those, let alone the steak. My fiancé got a crispy chicken Ceasars salad and he said it was good. It's kind of hard to mess up that salad but still, he enjoyed it. We will be back for sure! Plus karaoke on Mondays! So I'm basically sold for life!

This will be my final time trying it. My daughter really wanted the garlic fries and those were actually the only thing that was good. Her chicken was very stringy. My sandwich was burnt on half. Very sad for what use to be a fun hometown place. I can't say the service was good.

The dressing flavor was different than I've had elsewhere in slaw. And the pork was juicy and barely needed sauce. Original sauce was my fave. Sweet and hot alternatives seem to have the same base in flavor profiles.

We only had to wait a few minutes - 5 minutes maybe - before they called us in to be seated. Once seated we were served water and then they began taking drink orders. Since we were there for Sunday Brunch we waited a bit for the stragglers to arrive before ordering our meals. Service in general was excellent. Very timely without hovering. I ordered their Double Bloody Mary, a drink they are well known for around these parts. It's a drink and a meal all in one! The Bloody Mary was decent. Not the best I've ever had, but still tasty. Included, on skewers were two small biscuit sliders with egg, ham and cheese, three sausage meatballs, two large bacon wrapped potato chunks, a couple of pickled peppers, a chunk of apple, two blue cheese stuffed olives, a chunk of cheese, ham and salami. It also contained a big celery and carrot stick. It was supposed to have a dill pickle spear but I guess they forgot that or ran out. With it you get your choice of vodkas. I chose Tito's. This was all served in a quart size Mason Jar! Everyone else ordered other items and they all seemed to enjoy not only their drinks but their food as well. Salmon Scramble was really enjoyed by the son in law and stuffed French toast was great according to my wife. Several ordered the Breakfast Burrito in a Bowl and enjoyed it. They have an extensive breakfast menu available for brunch so a second visit will be in order. All in all it was a nice way to celebrate a birthday and eat brunch. Well worth a visit.

I always stop at Hal's Drive In when I am Sedro Woolley, because the burgers at Hal's have always…read morebeen much better than I can get at the local drive ins in Mount Vernon, unfortunately that is no longer true. Hal's always had a larger burger patty, and a larger than normal high quality burger bun, this has changed, the entire Deluxe Cheeseburger has shrunk, the taste is much saltier, the buns are smaller and cheaper, and the burger patty is smaller as well, and of course prices have gone up, which I can't knock them for. Now there is nothing special or unique about Hal's, I can get the same burger, if not better, a mile away from my home in Mount Vernon, and for $2 cheaper. Hal's still produces a good burger, with friendly service, but I will no longer make Hal's Drive In a regular stop to look forward to when I am in Sedro Woolley. Thanks Hal's for 40 years of far above average burgers, all things must come to an end eventually.
