    Tips over Noodles
    John F.

I have to admit this is a diner I kind of forgot about! It's a place I need to remember. Great diner experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinners available. Many lunches and diners include soup and salad bar, which are both pretty good! Today they had 1 soup on the salad bar, but they also had 2 more available (from the kitchen). Price was very reasonable! I think my Tips w/Noodles were something like $9, and that included unlimited soup and salad! Top that off with a nice selection on pies, cakes, bars and cookies. We each got a peanut butter cookie... and it was amazing!

A little jewel in Manitowoc Wi! Great food at a good price, friendly staff and home-made pies, cookies and pastries! Now that's a deal.

I ordered Mama Shrimp Soup and asked for it 'Thai hot.' She looked at me funny and I told her I was not from Manitowoc. After a short wait , she brought me a large bowl filled with broth, ramen noodles, and all sort of seafood goodies. She also brought a small dish of chili flakes, in case it was not hot enough. I didn't need them. The broth was well flavored, spicy, and citrusy. There were pieces of octopus, squid, mussels, and clams in addition to the shrimp. There was also a split soft boiled egg cilantro, and green onion slices. Delicious! The frozen watermelon bubble tea was also quite good. I will be back next time I'm in Manitowoc!

Not too far off the main drag and only a couple blocks away from Red Arrow Park off of Lake Michigan. Great lunch or dinner spot after a day at the beach! Food: The food here was so good and authentic. The portions were very generous for many of the dishes that we ordered and the leftovers heated up well for another meal. The Bahn Mi at Anne's has got to be the largest Bahn Mi I have ever ordered. And this wasn't a quality vs. quantity issue either, the sandwich was super tasty and satisfying and only $13! The fried rice, seafood pho and pad thai was also very good. Anne's didn't skimp on the protein in the dish and ingredients were super fresh. Prices were also very good when considering portion sizes, usually $12-$14 a dish (and some could easily serve two people if you wanted to). Drinks: My kids had the brown sugar bubble tea with their meal. I think it was like 20 ounces and it was blended instead of on the rocks. The brown sugar was heated like hot fudge and nice and thick on the bottom. We liked it! Verdict: Well worth the rave review and I will gladly be back for another Bahn Mi in the future!

There seem to be two halves to the restaurant with slightly different vibes on each. One more diner/coffee shop and one more bar. The diner side where you order also had a vast selection of muffins and other baked goods, some gluten free and vegan. We were surprised to see 9 different varieties of muffins! We ended up getting the jerk chicken wrap, the French toast, and the teriyaki wrap. The best part was the varieties of wraps you can choose from! It's great that they don't just have white. The jerk chicken had a nice kick to it and gave my friend the hiccups, but kept eating because it was so good. The French toast was in sticks form and pretty tasty, great presentation of lincoln log-esque. The teriyaki chicken had a nice sweetness, but not overpowering. It was gobbled up quickly. We also liked the toasted tortilla garnish with different seasonings on them. Just the right amount of side for a wrap. Overall, good food, friendly staff, and very reasonable price. We'll be back if we're in the area.
