Waffles We ordered the vanilla ice cream waffle and strawberry & ice cream waffle. They were light and weren't too sweet. However the waffles were kinda burnt. They are different dips you can put on your waffle. Honey, condensed milk and strawberry jam. It seems like they added matcha powder on top of the waffle which is good. 2. Buffalo wings with blue cheese dip I loved it, it was spicy and delicious. The cheese wasn't tasty for us so we didn't eat the wings with it. 3. Chicken spaghetti with pesto sauce I like how light the sauce is, it was tasty and well made. However I would suggest them to spice up the chicken more. Add spices or flavours to it. 4. Strawberry Milk Tea This is a must to try, I loved it and it wasn't too sweet. It had whipped cream and tiny marshmallows with a wafer.

The menu had all the popular items including the mango dishes. We ordered the mango shaved ice, vanilla chocolate shaved ice and a few drinks at the register. It was a quick service, the food was served within few minutes. The mango shaved ice was so amazing, I couldn't believe how sweet the mango was and it blended so well with the shaved ice and vanilla ice cream. It was large enough to share amount three people. I also like the vanilla chocolate one as well. The drinks were really good too. After this immaculate experience , now I will always remember the Hong Kong Meet Fresh whenever I go to the one in NJ.

Came here on a private Kowloon Michelin Star Street Food and Culture Tour with Hello Hong Kong…read more Can't comment on the food, because we did not even explore the food markets in this building which was surprising because we were on a street food tour. Instead, our guide Alex brought us to the sixth floor to talk and talk and talk about the housing crisis in Hong Kong. Public housing. Private housing. Standards for housing. How private buildings with take one three bedroom unit and subdivide it into four units. The unit may just be a room with a shared bathroom and no kitchen, a bedroom and small kitchen, or a bedroom with a small kitchen and a bathroom. The whole unit may be 100 square feet. A 10 foot by 10 foot until for a family which may include three generations and pets. Over time, squatters have even been grandfathered in as they have built a small house on top of the roof. Lots of TV antennas on the roof as well as trees that have sprouted up. No elevators in the buildings that we viewed from the sixth floor. Lots of stairs to climb. Many people waiting on the lucky lottery tickets for years and years to be eligible for public housing that would cost $150, $250 or $350 per month. Can't make too high of an income or they don't qualify. Great view of the dilapidated public buildings in the foreground that contrasted with beautiful, new public housing buildings in the background. Also interesting to hear how older people collect cardboard soaked with water to be sold for recycling. Why soaked with water? It is sold by weight, so the water makes it heavier.

Fuel is a chain from Australia, which takes coffee seriously. Their focus is on black or white…read moreespresso based drinks. My four star rating is based on the following: Coffee: 5 stars Environment: 3.5 stars Value: 4 stars The first branch I went to was in Shanghai and they used milk imports from Australia. In Hong Kong they use Japanese Meiji milk. Part of the reason I was ok with the high price was the cost of the ingredients so this affected my review on the value. A latte or cappuccino will cost you 52 hkd. That is really expensive even for Hong Kong. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. That rings true for Fuel espresso. The prices are high but the coffee is really good. For milk based espresso drinks Fuel is in the conversation for the best in Hong Kong. I typically prefer a piccolo over a latte because I like to the taste of a stronger drink. This is less of an issue here and I really enjoy their full sized cappuccino drink. The addition of the chocolate powder really adds a nice touch. They also have a few pastry and cake items that you can choose from. I haven't tried any on my visit but from the appearance the cakes look very good. Fuel is a bit out of the way for me and with so many coffee choices it is easy to forget about Fuel. However, that would be a mistake. This is definitely one of the better places for coffee in Hong Kong.

TL; DR: The setting may be pretentious but the coffee is delicious…read more The coffee here is so good we ended up going twice during our week-long vacation in Hong Kong. This location is abu sleek espresso bar located in a corner of the basement shopping level at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental hotel. A short ways away from the bar is a seating area, full bar-height tables and chairs. While orders are placed at the counter, if you order in they will bring your drinks and pastries to you. One of the signature drinks is the wellington flat white, the name giving a nod to its New Zealand origins. For those that are unfamiliar with the drink, the foam is frothed to a lesser degree than for a cappuccino, and then mixed slightly into the drink, giving the top a light brown finish. The result is a creamy, rich, dark coffee flavour with hints of dark chocolate. Their roasting process has managed to coax out the maximum amount of roasted flavor without any of the acrid bitterness from charring. Definitely a wonderful introduction to the drink if you've never had it before. In addition, there's also a selection of pastries from which I ordered a pineapple cake. The cake was warm, moist, and nutty, and while it wasn't outstanding in its own right, it paired wonderfully with the flat white.

It is a little better than average. The pork chop was very thick, a big plus. The baking process was done very well. The pork chop edge had the taste of bbq pork. The rice was fried rice, but not as flavorful as the one in the internet food review. The cheese and tomato sauce mixed well with the rice. There were onions and carrots pieces, which were well cooked, so soft. The baked pork chop rice was above average, but not wonderful tasting. Overall, this is a go if you are a local, but if I have to travel to get to this place, I will not come. Ray out!

This Hong Kong style bistro that serves a fusion of Chinese and Western food (this type of fusion…read morerestaurants is very common in Hong Kong due to its past as a British colony) has been around since 1956, which was why I decided to give it a try since I happened to be in the area. The interior of the restaurant looks quite decent, and the food quality and staff service were both good. I gave it a 1-star rating due to its restroom (toilet), which did not have soap to wash your hands. I always carry a travel-sized hand soap with me when I travel abroad as I don't touch food without having washed my hands first, which is probably why I don't usually catch a cold or flu, and never caught Covid in the past few years despite all the travel I do. Although I was able to wash my hands with my own soap after I used their restroom, the thought of the kitchen staff and servers handling my food not washing their hands with soap and water after they use the restroom was just too annoying and disgusting to me. I simply don't like restaurants that don't enable their staff and customers to maintain good hygiene.

Finally get around to writing a review on one of my favorite cafes in SYP…read more - Great coffee with a selection of milks (soy milk, and they even almond milk which seems to be a latest hipster trend). - Free wifi. Speeds quite good (after all this is HK). Wifi also works outside in the courtyard. - Power at some of the tables, including USB outlets too. - Very spacious (which seems like a luxury in HK) - Outdoor Courtyard. Which is nice in the cooler months. And a lot of people overlook it so it's a nice quiet work space. - Pet friendly. There's even a puppachino for the pets. - Good food also. I like the pasta here. - Cheap co-working space upstairs (which may or may not be related). But they use the same bathrooms anyway.

THEY HAVE REALLY COLD AIR-CONDITIONING HERE! This is a luxury during the hot months in Hong Kong…read more(which is about 9/12 months of the year). Also they have really good coffee and the prices are cheaper than a lot of the coffeeshops in Hong Kong (especially the ones by sheung wan that I like). I always get their iced coffee with almond milk along with their smoked salmon sandwich! Their coffee is a lot more aromatic and stronger than a lot of other coffee shops in hk. Also, their coffee is less acidic too. I mean there's not a lot of good coffee in hk. One more thing I like about this place is that they have a lot of milk options. They let you pick between almond milk, soy milk, low-fat milk, and whole milk! Tip: they have wifi, a lot of space, and their bathroom is huge (upstairs)
