So when I saw the register line for a 20% or 25% tip on a $12 half a sub, I entered zero, but common, the tip begging really has gone too far when they are begging at Cousins, and charging a boat load for the food. read more

First time I have given rating for this place. We are snowbirds so only use this during summer months. I am commenting on last night service. Called at 729pm to place order. phone rang for 4 plus minutes with no answer. I hung up and called back. Phone kept ringing so I let it ring. I live in Port and decided I would drive over to see this large group of customers that must be there. I was 2 blocks away when a young man answered to tell me they had closed at 745PM because they ran out of bread, I told him I had been trying to place order since 730 and no answer on phone. This time I looked down and saw time was 748PM. and I had been on phone for more than 15 minutes with no one answering it. He responded "No way man" I told him I was just around the corner and would stop and show him my proof on the phone. He said NO, Were closed. I asked him why he could not just answer phone earlier and let me know so I wouldnt have to continue coming to his store. He told me there was no way I was on phone. I lost my temper at that time and said the F word. I told him I would tell the owner / manager know of the service. He said what ever, thanked me, said he was sorry, and then hung up. Luckily Arby's was open and no problems there. Not a good experience for Cousins. read more

I will never visit this store again. The staff and Stephanie, the manager, are very rude. When I went there for lunch today, the door was locked yet people were inside eating. I knocked on the door to find out what was going on. They ignored my knocking so I knocked louder. The African American employee rudely looked at me and pointed to the sign on the door stating they were closed due to short staff. When I called to complain on the rudeness of the staff member, Stephanie said I was rude and hung up on me. No customer service skills whatsoever. Corporate is also at fault for not properly staffing this store. I would not be surprised if they close permanently in the near future. I went to Jimmy John's and got excellent customer service and a good sub. read more

I love cousins subs, I have been eating them literally since I was a child. Ham and provolone is my go-to, but sometimes I opt for the special or a cheesesteak. Cousins bread is really good, much better than soggy bread at other competitors ;) I've never had an issue with service here, employees are friendly and service is pretty fast. There is not a lot of seating here compared to other locations I've gone to. There are ~3 booths on the side, and some high top tables in front. Never been an issue for us as we normally do an order through the app. read more

Negative stars if I could, employers and employees are very rude and won't help when having a problem with a order even after being nothing but reasonable respectful towards them you will not receive the same treatment, they can care less how there food come out of their kitchen, I ordered a simple blt with extra mayo and received the most burnt bacon known to man or woman, and no sight of any mayo, I had no mayo at my house so had to drive to McDonald's for mayo packets, they told me they would give me a coupon and didn't even have the decency to apologize, I'll never go to this cousins ever again and if I hear of anyone planning on going there I will definitely redirect them elsewhere. read more

I have been going to this location for a while now and every time I order the veggie sub with mayo they do not put mayo on it. Normally I just deal with it but this time not only did it not have mayo. It also had chunks of ice attached to the lettuce like it was half frozen and the frozen lettuce made the bread extra soggy and disgusting really quickly And then the cheese was crumbling like it was old. "I had an order for pick up" "Oh, we didn't see that until just now, we will get it out to you right away" Twice now, we've ordered online, waited the 20 minutes estimated time before pick up, go to pick up our meal, only to be told that they didn't see the online order so we had to wait again. Really defeats the purpose of ordering online, especially now with the need to social distance and needing a quick in-and-out style pick up for food. Good food, though. I don't know what it is about this location. Service is never that great and they get stuff wrong alot. Last time I was there I actually had a polite "teenage" boy at the register... I presume his age... thought maybe it got better, then a woman who was working there was very rude and just made me lose the glimmer of hope. read more

Very average because the sub I ordered was completely soaked in Dijon mustard that I had asked instead of mayonnaise. I literally had to wipe down the mustard from my sandwich as there was so much of it. I did bring it to an employees attention but she couldn't seem to really care. Very disappointing! read more

We went here yesterday with our buy 2 get 1 free coupon we got in the paper. It was 5:00 on a Friday so not near closing time. It was also not busy. There was 1 person in front of me and one behind me... so I didn't see a reason for poor quality. I ordered 2 veggie subs, and 1 turkey. They were out of the parmesan bread I wanted. They "didn't want to make more because they weren't sure." whatever that means. We got our subs all on Italian. I was offered a bread piece with my soup but then she turned around with an "oh, nevermind, we are out of that bread right now, too." The veggies must have been the bottom of the barrel sitting in water because by the time I got my subs home the 4 blocks to my house, my bread was completely soggy with water from the veggies. I mean, I had to throw half the sub away. they also forgot to put mayo on the veggie subs so we ended up using our own at home. All in all, I paid about $13 for watery soup, old veggies, and soggy bread... not even the bread I wanted. I would call to complain but it was the Assistant Manager who helped me at the counter. Read the reviews for Cousins from other locations and was apprehensive but most were because of bad online order experiences. I actually really enjoyed my sub with the sliced chicken and bacon. Bread was good and everything was fresh. They don't put a ton of meat on it like a Connecticut grinder but it was tasty. Good service too. read more

Bottom line: Cousins Subs are good. I've always enjoyed them. However, this location too often makes too many mistakes, hence the two-star rating. The worst was when I ordered a party platter for an event. When I arrived, they said they didn't have one for me, but that someone earlier came in asking for one and they gave it to him. I asked what name it was under and they said they didn't ask, or know. They quickly (about a half hour) made a new platter, then questioned me about a coupon I had. In my opinion, they should have offered a discount above and beyond what the coupon stated. Also, if you order a sub with changes (no onion, no tomato, etc.) be prepared to pick off these items yourself. I'm yet to get sandwiches made correctly. If given the choice, go to the local Subway, where you can better control what's on your sandwich. read more

Our meal was good and love coming here for lunch and originally from Wisconsin and I had the club sandwich and my dad had the Italian special and my mom tried something new. But the one thing which you need to improve on is putting some in Illinois and iowa to get more people interested in it. read more

We had never been to a Cousins Subs before and it was decent. I had a Big Daddy sub, and I thought it tasted really good but the bread was harder than I cared for. My wife did enjoy the harder bread, so I guess its personal preference. All in all, it was a good meal. read more

Worst Cousin's Subs I've ever been to. Bread was old and not usual Cousin's bread. Very little of the cheapest meat you can get, very little substance. No value whatsoever. $10 for a 15", planned to eat 2nd half the next day but threw most of it out. Aweful. I'll probably never go to a Cousin's again because of this. Rip off. read more

I went to this Cousins Subs in Port Washington on two different occasions. First time kids with no ambition in slow motion and the bread was stale and nasty hard. Crumbled all over the place. Second time slow motion no ambition kids again and the vegetables were nasty. Tomatoes all slimy and onions transparent mush.I left a review about my experiences and I was contacted by Cousins subs and was told they wanted a chance to the have the owner of this franchise contact me and make good on the problems I had with the my purchases.I gave them all my contact information and was never contacted.
