My family and I had a lovely 4 night stay here. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, fridge and microwave were provided. The hotel has a laundry room, gym, restaurant, lounge area and a business center. The location is a 10min drive from downtown and behind the hotel is a huge shopping plaza with lots of dining and shopping options (Target, Marshalls, TJ maxx, Nike, Express) and a movie theater. Overall, very happy with our stay here

View from my room. Not pleasant.

I stayed for 3 nights for a convention in Boston,. Positives: 1. Lobby and hallways were pleasant and well kept. Wallpaper and carpeting in the room was also pleasant (though the ceilings were that white "popcorn" type that screams "youth hostel"). 2. Front desk staff were uniformly friendly and accommodating. That's it for the positives. Negatives: 1. Lighting in the room was poor. Even with all the lights on, significant areas of the room were dark or shadowy. Lights by the bed were sconces and not directional to allow for reading. 2. This was the first hotel room I've stayed in that did not have a safe for valuables 3. The wardrobe looks like it was obtained from IKEA and is too small (see photos). 4. The ironing board was one of those short, tabletop ones that makes it very difficult actually to iron one's clothes. This may be a byproduct of the inadequate wardrobe, which is too short to accommodate a normal ironing board 5. There was no bureau in the room, indeed no drawers at all, in which one could store underwear, socks, workout gear, polo shirts and other clothing not typically put on hangers. I wound up piling these on the second bed. Laughably, there is an opening in the desk area that appears to be one that a drawer normally would fit into, but it's just an empty space that is useless 6. The "desk" was a relatively narrow horizontal white resin type tabletop against the wall. Serviceable, but contributed to the feeling of a "low-rent" accommodation. 6. The view from my second floor room was of a parking lot, garbage dumpsters filled with garbage, and industrial buildings. Very unpleasant.. 7. Room rate was about $580 per night, including taxes. I would expect this at a 5-Star hotel, not here. I found this to be an abusive rate for what the hotel offers. I also wanted a KIng room but it was even more expensive so I settled for two Queen beds. 6. One of the beds was against a wall so anyone sleeping on the side has no light, no nightstand, and would have to climb over the other person to get out of bed. 8. Gym was okay. Mostly treadmills and ellipticals with a bench press and a leg press machine. Otherwise only one-handed free weights and one of those "universal" gyms that are not much use. 9. Bathroom is serviceable. Not at all special, but clean with a working tub/shower and sink area. 10. I'm a frequent Marriott, traveler. All things considered this was the most disappointing Marriott, hotel I've ever stayed in

3 stars for: An uncomfortable bed and thin pillows which kept me tossing and turning at night. A lack of mask enforcement. There are signs posted on the front door saying masks are mandatory, so I wore one the whole time while outside of my room. No one else did, even when they were communicating face to face with hotel staff. A mismatched sofa to go along with the outdated room. We were charged $5 data fee for no reason. Slow as molasses elevators. The good: This hotel had rooms available day of when I found myself stranded in Boston for a night. The lobby is clean and staff are very friendly. The shower was hot and powerful when I needed it after a long day of walking.

Pros- this hotel was a available last minute at a somewhat reasonable rate for Boston, it's clean, has great water pressure and a friendly staff. Cons-they tried to tack on a random fee on my bill for data usage(what does that even mean?), The breakfast box is terrible (see photo), the creamer could be dried paint in a container, no shuttle, the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were thin and unsupportive at best, the AC unit could not be any louder and the walls are thin. Also check out the picture of the mismatched couch, it's almost funny how the cushions are completely incorrect.

Facade is nice

Hello

Aura B.

My close relative was sick and while she had recovered, I wanted to come in person and see her face to face to make sure she was well. I think that in person presence will always be better than phone or any other interaction. She was doing excellent as if nothing had happened. While I could stay in her home, I decided to stay at the Marriott, the Marriott will always be my top favorite choice for stay. The beds are always good an comfy, the silence, and is a very clean Hotel. So why not? For Boston the Marriott will always be my first top choice. Also, this location is very close to the downtown area where most of the great restaurants and places are, 10 mins. Off about taxi drive.

I arrived at the Courtyard Marriott South Boston around 10:30 PM on a Sunday evening. It had been a long day of travel filled with flight delays, and all kinds of travel hiccups so needless to say, when I arrived at my hotel I was more than happy to get up to my room and go to sleep, finally. I saw there was a parking lot, which I was surprised about because most Boston hotels do not have one. The Holiday Inn Express and the Courtyard have a dual partnership here. They share the same parking lot so you can park in either but you must have a parking permit which you get upon check-in. I was not stoked that I had to walk back out to my car to put the permit in, but I guess that's a small price to pay to actually have your car parked in a lot. I was greeted right away by Thomas who is lovely. He checked me in and got me on a higher floor in the closest to a corner room as they had. He explained to me that their king rooms are not located in the corner. He was very nice and welcoming & helpful. They are also very great with the mobile app. Very responsive. I went to their tiny marketplace store to grab a few waters, when I came back there was a long line of people checking in so I just messaged them on the mobile app to charge me for the waters. It was much easier that way. They responded right away. When I got to my room I was so happy to finally be there. It was somewhat of a spacious room, no real view/ nothing special about it but it was a room with a bed. It did have a refrigerator and a microwave which is nice. They have their Bistro dining area and bar that offers breakfast and dinner as well as cocktail hour. My first night sleep was not great at all. There were loud people next to me playing music and slamming their doors, and then at around 5:30 in the morning construction started right outside of my room. My hotel room was expensive so I wasn't happy about this. After a long day of traveling all I wanted was a nice, accommodating hotel room. Also, my toilet wouldn't stop running so luckily, I knew how to fix it myself because this is happened in hotels before. That did keep me up for a little bit, though. I didn't get to take advantage of any of the amenities but they do offer guest laundry, fitness center, a nice outdoor courtyard (that puts the Courtyard in Courtyard Marriott) with an old-school grill, and a business center that are all 24 hours. The Bistro is also available for a limited hours as well. My second night sleep was better except for the construction trucks pulling in to the lot right outside of my room in the middle of the night which woke me up. The next morning I was excited for a hot shower only to learn that the hot water wasn't working so I took a freezing cold shower. When I went to check out, the person who checked me out didn't have a name tag and wasn't wearing a Marriott shirt. I told him about the hot water situation and he apologized but I didn't know if he was able to make any adjustments for me since he didn't have a name tag. However, he did do me a solid and reported it to his manager after recognizing I am an Elite member. Within an hour and a half later I received an email from their manager m, Stephanie apologizing and letting me know that they had issued me points for the inconvenience. They explained that it was an issue with their water boilers and it has now been fixed. I did appreciate the email and it did make me feel better. Overall, I would definitely not return here for all of the issues I encountered. It was a very expensive stay for things not to be working properly.

South Boston Courtyard by Marriott is a typical Courtyard. The hotel was not really our choice. It was the "team" hotel, as we were here for my kids' sports tournament in Foxboro. If you are in Boston to see the city I would not recommend this location. It is not convenient to any tourist spots. The "T" is about a 10 minute walk. The only thing convenient about the Courtyard is that it is located right in the back of a shopping center with many stores like Best Buy, Target, Stop & Shop, etc. So if you need anything, you could get it right behind you. I would be careful though, as it did not look like the best area. The room was pretty generic and clean enough. The best part about the hotel though, was the staff. The entire staff was very helpful and courteous, which gives the place an extra star for me. The star staff member for us was Sara. On our first night, after we checked in and were settled, we realized the double room we booked was way to small for the four of us. Sara went out of her way to move us to a bigger room that very evening. The hotel has a cafe with alcohol and Starbuck's products in the lobby. It is only open at certain hours but you can always ask the front desk for a coffee. Courtyards do not have complimentary breakfast, which is one reason I like Hamptons better. We only had breakfast once in the hotel and it was okay, but on the expensive side for what you got. If you want a plain breakfast there is Panera and Victoria's, a diner, near by. This Courtyard has a nice indoor heated pool & hot tub and a gym. The price each night was $179 (without taxes) and a big plus is that there is no charge for parking if you have a car. I guess that is not too bad for Boston. If you are in town to attend or visit something nearby, this Courtyard would be adequate. If you are visiting Boston for a few days to see the sights, I would find a hotel more the center of town.

We arrived so late and a lot of things had gone wrong during our trip but when we got there the lobby was immaculate we were welcomed and greeted AND the best part: we were upgraded!!!! To a double suite! The rooms were so ample, all amenities you can expect. They had packaged breakfast to go in the morning. I really enjoyed our stay and will be a repeat customer

2 of the 3 dudes outside my window.

I recently had the displeasure of staying at Courtyard Mariott South Boston, and I cannot express enough how utterly disappointed I am with my experience. The constant presence of construction workers outside my window completely marred what should have been a pleasant stay. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who swiftly checked me in. The lobby appeared presentable, and I held hope for a comfortable stay. However, my optimism quickly evaporated the following morning when I was awakened at the crack of dawn by the cacophony of construction noise. To my disbelief, there were not one, not two, but three men conducting construction work right outside my window. A window with curtains that don't even close completely. The sheer audacity of subjecting guests to such an appalling disturbance is beyond comprehension. The incessant hammering, drilling, and other ear-piercing noises continued for hours, leaving me with a throbbing headache and a ruined day. Their response was "We didn't know there would be construction, we're as surprised as you are, and it will be done soon" Three hours and 5 calls later, I was offered a late check out! It is incomprehensible how the management of could allow such a disturbance to occur without any regard for the comfort and well-being of their guests. Not to mention three men unannounced right outside a window. Imagine if you had your wife or daughter in the room? What makes matters worse is that my repeated attempts to reach out to the front desk regarding the issue were met with indifference. Housekeeping came in three times as well despite a do not disturb sign on the door. The lack of concern or effort to address the situation only added insult to injury and left me feeling utterly disregarded as a paying guest. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at this hotel to think twice before booking. The lack of consideration for guests' peace and tranquility, coupled with the dismissive attitude of the staff, is a clear indicator of their disregard for customer satisfaction. In an industry where guest comfort and experience should be paramount, it is deeply disheartening to encounter such negligence. In conclusion, I vehemently discourage anyone from subjecting themselves to the abysmal experience I endured at this place. Save yourself the frustration and headaches, and seek accommodation elsewhere that values your comfort and provides a peaceful environment.

All are good but Canopy by Hilton in Boston is a step above. Service was GREAT, especially Yanelee who was working at the desk when we checked in. She is why I prefer to stay at Hilton hotels and will not stay anywhere else in Boston. She was friendly, helpful and went above-and-beyond to get us in our room!! The room itself was spacious, VERY clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, very close to the historic district and a short Uber from the cruise terminal and the airport. Now the area is always busy and non stop traffic, but it was centrally located for the things I wanted to do. I only did ride share for things that were outside of the downtown Boston area or too far to walk with my mom. The hotel is clean, front desk associate Wensley, was always so kind and pleasant whenever I needed something or returned from sight seeing. I was in a premium double queen and OMG, spacious room, barn door bathroom, hardwood flooring, a seating area, view of the greenway, fridge in the room, and an overall very nice and comfortable room. It was enough space for us; we weren't stepping over each other and we used the extra seating area as a changing area when we needed to change for the evening dinners. My only complaint is with housekeeping, the room was rarely cleaned prior to 4pm and we would leave around 9am every day. We only received 2 face towels despite asking for 4. After going to the front desk and asking a note be entered we finally received enough face towels. We couldn't figure out when they would take our bath towels, we put them on the floor they would take them, put them on the rack they would take them. I have always put them on the floor and if on the rack it means I'm using them again. Either way, I did appreciate fresh towels on the days the room would be cleaned prior to our return. Overall the stay was comfortable, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept better there than at home. I'm starting to notice a pattern with sleeping away from home....maybe I should stay away from home more often! One thing to note, each floor has an ice and filtered water machine. That was a nice touch and it kept me from having to purchase bottled water and spending extra money for delivery of water.

The environment was beautifully decorated for Christmas, like last year, and I had to take some pictures to have as desktop wallpaper on my computer. We had a very nice time and the selections on the menu were impressive. I went with the carrot cake chai black tea, mainly because it had pumpkin pie kinds of spices and vanilla rooibos. It tasted wonderful, like an autumnal tea, and all our teas came in beautifully decorated tea pots, apparently from Australia. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had. The menu was different from last year's, which was great too but in my opinion this seemed like an upgrade. Some of the food items included pieces of salmon in a little pastry, mini lobster roll, peking duck crepe, curried chicken croissant, a beautiful deviled egg, vanilla bean and brown butter scones, an eggnog tart, and a Santa hat shaped raspberry pastry. We even got some alternate options for a lactose sensitive person, so that's a great plus as well. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, and the service was great. The Four Seasons high tea was a very special holiday event, and comes highly recommended!
