I was so excited to have another option for Ripon but was pretty disappointed. When we went place was almost deserted and the service was still slow. Like another person commented you have to constantly ask multiple times for things and food came out at different times for everyone. Place was clean and staff was friendly but food was average/below. Prices were kinda high especially compared to other places in town who serve the same thing I'd say like $1.50-$3 more which isn't much but does add up for a family. Food was extremely boring. I literally put my fork down after a few bites to start my review on how discontent I am. I'm irritated I wasted $26 on biscuits and gravy I could have made at home for free... the bacon is hard to chew the sausage tastes like nothing. The country potatoes are LITERALLY just cut up potatoes cooked and unseasoned...Lol. Everything was just bland and boring. I never leave bad reviews so you know it was bad when I take the time to leave one. One of the two girls that helped check me out was friendly. The second one just stared at me as if she didn't know how to talk or something... I thanked her too and she didn't reply so maybe she didn't know how... All I know is I won't be coming back here. Decided to give this place a try due to other customers reviews. Wait time was decent, and when we were seated the waitress seating our party of 5 also took care of the drink order. We waited for over 10 minutes to place our food order. The food order took 40 minutes for them to bring out, only filling 3 of the orders. The last 2 plates took an additional 15 minutes to come out. Don't get the home fries as they were bland and oily. The gravy for the biscuits was a gelatinous mess with very little taste. Also, don't order the chef salad unless you want to spend money to get lunch meat and American cheese slices cut into strips and thrown onto lettuce. The wait staff was slow and seemed overwhelmed. When asked about the last 2 dishes we were told they were short handed. That should have been stated well before that. There were other tables that were sat well after us that recieved their food and left before we even got our first plates. There doesn't seem to be any management on duty to ensure things were functioning properly. The food was not worth the cost or wait times. read more

Love Country Skillets Ripon, started coming here a few weeks after they opened. They have a Country Skillets in Manteca too different owners. Here @ Ripon Sarah and the whole crew work hard food is consistently good, my favorite is the breakfast. Today I'm having Roast Beef sandwich and Fresh Fruit as my side. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five, is they need to do some advertising/Coupons etc Grand Opening so ppl know they are here. My 2nd time here since they originally opened. It was pretty busy Sunday morning but we found a booth and sat right away. Friendly service but food and drinks were not worth the wait or price. $3 for each hot chocolate for the kids. These were made with water, looked like muddy water and barely any chocolate flavor. Suggestion to staff, heat up the MILK, add chocolate, add more milk, boom! Yummy hot choc milk, worth the price! You can buy a whole galling of milk for the price you sell one cup. Plates were brought out for the first two and then a while later the other two, cold food. French toast I had was 4 pieces, two were good the other two were dry. Meh! I'm not sure why this restaurant has 4 stars. We ordered the fruit crapes and although they had lots of strawberries, they were folded pancakes. My niece ordered a veggie wrap and it had bagged salad inside with big chunks of romaine lettuce. They don't chop veggies and try to make their own mixture to add flavor. I wish my experience at this location would have been the same as in Manteca but sadly I was highly disappointed. My family and I wanted to support our local business and I raved how great the food was here so I decided to plan a breakfast sit down for Father's Day at this location because it was bigger and could accommodate our party of 10. Yes, we ALL understood that it will be busy & we were fine waiting but once we got seated things just went down hill. We never got any silverware until asking twice, we had to mix our coffees with straws. The food was very bland, my potatoes were hard, my SIL ordered scrambled eggs but got poached then when we sent that back only to get runny eggs AND 9 out of our 10 got served our food and we had to wait an extra 15 mins for the 10th persons food. My mom is diabetic so we had to get her some candy from Safeway across the street bcuz they forgot her OJ. I'm so sad because I know on any other day, service and food quality would have been on point. Our server was nice but she just had so much other things going on. Sadly my family will not come back but I still like this place. I'll stick to Manteca. read more

It was like a liver worst sandwich. Bread was burnt,soggy, and no flavor. Onions, peppers, all burnt. Cheese no existent. Like no cheese at all. And the roast beef was cut so huge i couldn't even chew it. This was so disappointing i had high hopes i paid 25 dollars for to sandwiches and thats what i got, no thanks. We met there at 10:30 am on a Tuesday. It's a seat yourself place so we found a booth to our liking. A decent amount of people there for a weekday. Our server came and brought menus and offered beverages right away. After looking over the menu, we both ordered from the senior menu. I had two eggs, scrambles, house made corn beef hash, crispy hash browns, , a biscuit and coffee. ALL of this was included in the breakfast, very ample servings of each item. Some senior menus are a lot smaller than regular, not here. My friend had the same thing with over medium eggs and canned hash. Yes, they serve either one. We both ate about half our breakfast because they were so ample. Very good though. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Country Skillets just opened a few months ago. We live in town and I have been looking for a good breakfast place to take my family. It is a great place for my kids and meets my needs for eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. The pancakes a big and come with almost every breakfast, my kids can eat them and a scrambled egg and are fine. The rest of the food is adequate. The service is great and the atmosphere is very fun. We will be coming back because it works so well for the family. read more
