Every dish we received was delicious. Two of our group ordered soups which were both heavy on the cream, which some like and some don't. The options were really good as far as being able to order some lighter things that were still tasty as well as some nice, heavy southern food which was also very tasty. The catfish was piping hot, fresh, and crispy. The burgers were juicy, and the white gravy had really nice flavor and tasted fresh and homemade. For the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

The hamburger steak with provolone, mushrooms, Onions, peppers and gravy on side (my request) was so stinking good. Definitely a house made hamburger steak (not pre-fab from Supplier). My husband got the Fried Smoked Bologna sandwich. He said it was the best he has ever had. Appetizer of fried pickles were very good and just enough for the 2 of us. Service was very good and attentive. Waitress did a great job of answering all questions and offering insight. That's a very subtle and very nice touch to customer service. The food was excellent of courses, as were the desserts. I can't wait to come here again!

I had heard about Jansen's from a friend and now four months later I finally got there for lunch…read more The food was excellent. The service was great, but the atmosphere was not the best. It was extremely noisy and that is something I didn't expect. People were carrying on so loud and the music was fairly loud also. We couldn't even hear our waitress and we had to ask her several times to repeat what she said because we simply couldn't hear her. I couldn't even talk to my wife during lunch over the noise. When we walked in, a young lady, told us to sit at one of the round tables along the window. When we got there and sat down another waitress came along and told us that this table was reserved for large parties and we needed to move to a regular table, a smaller table. I didn't really mind moving, but we had just done what the lady told us to do. It really was more the second waitress's attitude, and the way she spoke to us that was irritating and completely unnecessary as no large groups ever came and sat at the larger tables. We have every intention of trying Jensen's again in the evening. Hopefully the noise level will be less severe with the evening crowd. The food is definitely worth the trip. It is excellent. At least what we had was and everything on the menu looks good. They have an unbelievably wide variety of desserts, and the pies that my wife and I had were excellent.

The first time we were told they were closing because they ran out of food. This was at 4pm on July 3rd. The hostess said they had a catering order that got it all. The second time they were just closed. The third try (again at around 430 pm) we got seated and served. When our food arrived I asked for my order of meatballs and the waitress said "Oh sorry we ran out of meatballs ". So how the heck does an Italian restaurant run out of meatballs? About 5 minutes into our meal I hear the hostess telling a customer who just walked in, "Sorry we are closing right now, we ran out of food". Same story we heard a few weeks ago. When we checked out and paid I see a waitress loading up her car with the "catered food " including a huge tray of meatballs! The restaurant is kind of dumpy but clean. The parking sucks, but if you can get food it is really pretty good.
