We travel through this route regularly. I'm from Texas and am lucky to have fantastic Mexican food at home. I am so excited to have stopped at Amigos Locos for a weekend breakfast. Food looked Mexican but had no flavor of authentic Mexican spices or seasonings. It was bland and a lot of the dishes are just smothered in melted white cheddar cheese. Not Mexican at all. Service was great though so I give 3 stars for all the employees. Ambiance was chaotic and loud. I will never come eat here nor will I recommend it. read more

We loved this spot off of 65 in Damascus. It was recommended to us by our niece who we were visiting & she wasn't wrong about it. We came on a very busy Sunday afternoon, & they found us a seat. Really delicious spot we found on the way to Mountain View. The food was perfect. We went around 3pm so it was dead inside. The only problem was there was a severe gas smell. Once the food came I didn't notice it, but it was almost enough to make us leave when we first stepped in. read more

This Mexican restaurant is one of the best in Arkansas! (If not the best). All sauces are made in house and are exquisite! The chips are always hot, crisp and thin. The salsa is just perfectly seasoned. Once I discovered the chili relleno combo plate, I can't get away from ordering it with enchilada sauce. I can't think of anything that could make it better. Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. The choices are many. Word has gotten around. Parking at peak dining times reaches to the back of the building. We have never had service that was less than excellent, even at peak times. Try this restaurant. I know people who drive here, passing many other Mexican restaurants. This Mexican restaurant has very good food. But a one dollar sign for the cost does not cover what it costs to eat there. I have never eaten there for under $25 and that is for 2 people ordering average price meals with water to drink. But it is good, very good. So just know that it is going to be a bit more expensive that you probably expect. read more

The food was good, the salsa was just a tad spicier than what I'm used to but fine. The service was lacking on this particular night. The server never checked back between food delivery and the tab. Also, I was charged for a beverage that was not ordered, but I had it corrected at the register. read more

The staff is quick at seating your party. Each person at the table including kids get their own salsa bowl. They are fast at filling the chips and salsa when they are empty. Table side guacamole is awesome. You can watch what is in there when they make it for you. The melcajete is great. Way more than one person can handle. read more

Arrived with my daugher and a cousin along with the lunchtime crowd of gas field workers. We were seated quickly and were brought the typical chips and salsa. The kids ordered their food (minus vegetables...really, nachos with meat and rice?) and I ordered the fish tacos. Waitress asked me if I wanted the fish grilled or fried and I asked for fried. Food arrived for the girls first and mine about 5 minutes later with no explanation or apology for the delay. My "fish tacos" were grilled instead of fried and placed in a very thin soft tortilla with large chunks of pineapples, a few onions and not much else. No condiment and no spices as far as I could tell. Your typical refried beans and rice on the side along with guacamole that had a peculiar taste. I believe your average school cafeteria worker could have put together something with better flavor than this, and the order may have actually come out correct. The kids said their food tasted fine. Waited for at least 15 minutes for the check to arrive which never did and finally gave up and just walked to the counter and paid out. This is your typical Mexican restaurant with nothing to set it apart other than being the only Mexican restaurant within a 20 mile radius. Unless you're a gas field worker with an hour to kill, I would head south to Conway for many more choices. Average food and service and unremarkable. read more

Delicious! The brisket nachos and the seafood nachos were both amazing. So much food. They certainly didn't scrimp. I think we counted 8 huge shrimp, crab and a piece of fish on top of the seafood nachos. We will certainly be coming back soon. read more
