Bentley's is THE Best family restaurant in this area & surrounding areas! It has so much to offer everyone in the family. On Friday evenings they also offer a Seafood Buffet with lots to choose from including Jumbo shrimp for dipping in tangy cocktail sauce. PLUS Saturday evenings is Prime Rib Steak night. (My Mom's favorite) Perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth! OH and the Walleye fish is Amazing! The restaurant is much bigger than you may think. The breakfast is the best meal to eat here. Dinner is OK but a little on the pricey side for the food. The service is always good. Ask for Cindy or Shannon. Lots of locals eat here and sometimes they get priority, but you'll find that everywhere. Nothing fancy or high end here, just decent food at a decent price. We went there for lunch and breakfast the following day. The hamburger steak was great and wife had the chicken tender salad. It was HUGE!!! Breakfast was great as well. Have some of the BEST biscuits around. My only complaint, if I had any was that the bacon was a tad overcooked. Staff was courteous and very helpful being our first time to the area. I'll start with what I liked about this place. The decor was cool with all the planes hanging from the ceiling. I enjoyed seeing all of them. The salad bar was small but not too bad, I just wished it had olives. If you like fried foods the seafood buffet would be great, We were hoping for something grilled like salmon or shrimp and at least one thing that want seafood, so we skipped the all you can eat buffet and ordered from the menu. My husband and daughter ordered grilled shrimp skewers with mashed potatoes and they were pretty good but the mashed potatoes were a little bland. I ordered chicken fried steak. It was ok but not what I expected from a comfort food perspective. It reminded of the ones the school cafeteria used to serve. It was ok but not something I would order again. The service lacked the service lacked, maybe because we came about 45 min to closing and our waitress was too busy cleaning to see what we needed but we were able to got the the front counter to ask for what we needed so we didn't have to wait to terribly long. read more

Both food AND service are excellent! Good, home made food like granny made! The seafood buffet on weekends is excellent, love the stuffed crab. The steak is perfect! There is always something tasty at Bentley's. The staff is wonderful and friendly. For lunch you can get a blue plate special. These are getting hard to find. On Friday and Saturday nights the seafood buffet is open. Several good choices and large peel them and eat them shrimp. This is a good country eating spot not everyone knows about unless you are a local. I recommend you try it. read more

Friday night buffet was edible but nothing to write home about. The HUGE peel and eat shrimp had an awkward chemical taste. I'm assuming it's something the shrimp were either washed in or maybe it was some sort of preservative but it wasn't good. The shrimp were gigantic though. The fried clams were like trying to eat deep fried rubber bands. No joke! Literally! It was the strangest thing. I tried like 6 clam strips and I never could even tear one with my hands so I didn't eat them. It was scary and I pretty much eat just about anything once. The fried shrimp tasted straight or of the freezer at Walmart. When you peel the batter off they are super tiny salad shrimp with a huge clump of batter on them to make them look big. The cocktail sauce tasted much more like 90% ketchup 10% cocktail sauce... I guess they cut it to make it go further on the Buffett. The "fried" okra wasn't edible either. It was soggy and tasteless. The catfish.... not good at all. It was bland tiny thin little filets that had the most bland bread crumb batter on it that just had no taste at all. Frozen catfish obviously. I only ate 1/2 a piece it was so bad. The corn nuggets... were more like fried nuggets with one or two pieces of corn in wash one. They tasted old and stale. There was no cream whatsoever to the corn nuggets. Those are supposed to be filled with cream-style corn. The hush puppies, they were terrible dry little friend bread balls too. No flavor, no moisture, hard to choke down. I'd keep those puppies hush hush too if I were them. Pretty much it was a terrible dinner experience and I won't go back. I was wondering why the parking lot barely had any cars on Saturday night during Memorial Day weekend but now I know. I should have trusted my instincts and went to the place that had all the cars in the parking lot. Now I know that's common sense but I let someone else pick that was more familiar with the area. : ( 2 lousy Buffets and drinks plus tip... $40+ Value: A rip off basically. Holy Cow!!! Get there early, folks!! This place is apparently a local favorite! We were in town on a job & this place was recommended by our customer. We LOVED it!! Two of our group ordered the catfish filet dinner and both of us ended up asking for take out boxes. They don't skimp on quantity! Our co-worker had a steak & baked potato. He was NOT disappointed! Prices are reasonable & the service was GREAT! Our server was very friendly & attentive! They offer a seafood buffet on Friday's, as well as an extensive menu to select from. This place has improved drastically over the past year. The buffet is great and the night staff is great. It's always clean and the owner is usually always there making sure things are in check and walking around to all the tables making sure everyone is happy.
