For Christmas eve, we caught them at a time that wasn't too busy. My daughter and I ordered their country fried steak with eggs and a biscuit & gravy. My mom ordered French toast with bacon. Their gravy isn't a sausage gravy, but if you want it to be, they can make it happen! Our food didn't take long! We were enjoying it quickly and it was tasty!! Hot biscuits, with chunks of sausage, my over medium eggs were almost over hard, but still tasty. Their French toast was delicious too! Customer service was phenomenal! Everyone we spoke to was really nice. I got to say hello and Merry Christmas to Peggy Sue herself! (And she loves her chickens!!!!) Take care, everyone! Happy Holidays!

Every dish we received was delicious. Two of our group ordered soups which were both heavy on the cream, which some like and some don't. The options were really good as far as being able to order some lighter things that were still tasty as well as some nice, heavy southern food which was also very tasty. The catfish was piping hot, fresh, and crispy. The burgers were juicy, and the white gravy had really nice flavor and tasted fresh and homemade. For the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

I had heard about Jansen's from a friend and now four months later I finally got there for lunch…read more The food was excellent. The service was great, but the atmosphere was not the best. It was extremely noisy and that is something I didn't expect. People were carrying on so loud and the music was fairly loud also. We couldn't even hear our waitress and we had to ask her several times to repeat what she said because we simply couldn't hear her. I couldn't even talk to my wife during lunch over the noise. When we walked in, a young lady, told us to sit at one of the round tables along the window. When we got there and sat down another waitress came along and told us that this table was reserved for large parties and we needed to move to a regular table, a smaller table. I didn't really mind moving, but we had just done what the lady told us to do. It really was more the second waitress's attitude, and the way she spoke to us that was irritating and completely unnecessary as no large groups ever came and sat at the larger tables. We have every intention of trying Jensen's again in the evening. Hopefully the noise level will be less severe with the evening crowd. The food is definitely worth the trip. It is excellent. Colton's Steakhouse gave us a night to remember... unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons…read more Our server greeted us with the warmth of a DMV clerk on a Monday morning, then proceeded to forget half of what we ordered. We were informed the oven was "out," so no rolls -- unless, of course, you were one of the chosen ones at other tables who somehow got them. One of our steaks arrived looking like it had survived a kitchen brawl, so back it went. The appetizer showed up, but plates didn't -- apparently, sharing food is meant to be a full-contact sport here. Coke was unavailable (because why would a steakhouse have soda?), and paying was an adventure since their system was offline and cards kept failing. By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd eaten at a restaurant or participated in a hidden camera experiment to test my patience. Either way, congratulations to Colton's for delivering a truly one-of-a-kind experience... one I'll never risk repeating.
