This place was recommended, by more than one person so I was excited to stop in. Service was good. Nice ladies. Got the lasagna that was recommended and the meal of day. I got the meal to go and peeked in dining area, seemed nice, simple, then too many flies about. When I finally got to the meal I was shocked at the amount of meat (lack of) in the lasagna and well just shocked at all of it. I didn't eat any of it. I had to chuck it which is hard for me to do. Unassuming storefront belies a big dining area filled with great food choices! We enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak and the Grilled Shrimp entrees - but the Fried Catfish Plate looked like the highlight to me! Crispy dry catfish filets; just like I like! The service here was very friendly, though on the slow side. Really, the server was so nice we didn't mind the speed :) We went with a very large group, 12 people, after the lunch rush. Every dish we received was delicious. Two of our group ordered soups which were both heavy on the cream, which some like and some don't. The options were really good as far as being able to order some lighter things that were still tasty as well as some nice, heavy southern food which was also very tasty. The catfish was piping hot, fresh, and crispy. The burgers were juicy, and the white gravy had really nice flavor and tasted fresh and homemade. For the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by! read more

Accidentally ran across a Yelp review of this restaurant while in town so we b-lined right to it. Skeptical of this little restaurant in a strip mall having the great food that reviewers claimed, Im hear to tell you.... IT ALL TRUE! The food was fantastic! Even was able to have a frosty bottled beer along with our delicious fried green bean appetizer. Going back? Without a doubt! This place was not very busy, which usually concerns me when it's a food establishment. Upon entering the establishment it's a really weird layout, you're looking right into the kitchen and prep area and the seating area is to the left. The food here is good for a small town like Clinton, but stick to the sandwiches, burgers, and entrees which are fresh and flavorful. The kids meals are boring fried foods mostly which is pretty normal and the same for the appetizers available in the pick 3 sampler. I had the bourbon burger which was good It messy and the wife had the Reuben, both were really great. I think the best thing though was the jalapeño popper soup of the day, it was delicious. The atmosphere is where this place fails the most. The seating, floors, and walls were all gross and beat to crap. Even had chunks of flooring missing. The men's bathroom had a non-working handle and a sink propped up by a 1x4 piece of lumber, Good grief! I really think this is the main reason this place is not busy, people in Clinton don't want to buy a $12 burger in a gas station atmosphere, it's just weird. The food though was really good, just make sure you go for the FOOD! not the ambience :). Minus one star for the gas station deli ambience. read more

This was a hole in the wall restaurant that I drove by each morning to work and didn't even notice it. Not much of food choice in the area so when a local recommended this place, we had to try it out. When we got there, we were told we can seat ourselves anywhere. There were two sections to sit so we went to the empty room and sat there so we can keep distance from other patrons. The other sections had about four table fill with customers and we had the other room to ourselves. We started out with the pick 3 samplers. We got the clams, fried mushrooms and mozzarella cheese stick. I had the Bourbon Burger with Sweet potatoes fries. I really enjoyed my burger except for the sweet maple syrup like sauce. It made my burger too sweet tasting but over all we enjoyed our last day meal before heading out to Russellville, AR. read more

We are staying in Fairfield Bay and have not been impressed by food options there. Decided to make a little drive. So glad we did. We arrived at 7:40 on a Friday evening and they close at 8. We called to make sure we'd still be able to eat. The person who answered said absolutely. We had the place to ourselves and our server was great. We started with the appetizer of focaccia. It comes from a local farm and it was delicious. My husband got the catfish and he loved it. He said it was well seasoned and ate it all up. The fries were also a hit as they were warm and crunchy. I decided to try the BLT which comes on sourdough that also comes from a local farm. It was very tasty with lots of bacon. I got the onion rings which had an interesting taste. Couldn't place the flavor. My son got the L'Attitude burger and said it was one of the best ones he's had. My daughter had the kids chicken strips and ate them both - which is rare. We got the banana pudding to go. So I'll have to update this review after we try it out. They said they make that in house along with the Lemon Icebox. read more

Continues to decline, used to be one of the best places to eat in Clinton, now a sad shadow of it's former self. Everything is greasy and poorly cooked, with horrible seasoning either a lack thereof or overly seasoned the french fries are particularly bad as they drip of Grease the only saving grace is the staff is extremely nice and polite if it were not for the extremely nice service personnel there it would not even be worth attending they make up for some of the shortcomings but nothing can make up for the horrible food quality read more

Well, okay, it wasn't terrible. But this "bistro" does have a fitting name--attitude. First for the food. The beef in my hamburger, with its whiteish tomato, was marginally all right. My kid's mini-corn dogs, which came out of some frozen box, were yucky. My partner's BLT lacked bacon and was mostly bread. But hey, the fries were pretty good. So one star off for mediocre food. Now we have to take another off for telling us our meal was $45 instead of $29. We weren't buying it and explained the mistake , which seemed to distress the hostess. Was there any apology? Uh no. Finally, the service was poor. It took too long to get a couple of sandwiches. And the atmosphere was, well, there wasn't one. I'd skip this place and go to KFC next door. The exterior of this building is a little mid leading....but the food was SO good! This was the most delicious grilled chicken and veggie meal I have had in a while! I was a little bummed to be ordering the healthy option while my hubby tired the catfish lol but man oh man was I NOT disappointed! This is a wonderful find. The food was delicious. There were 5 in our party. I had the chicken salad croissant with the soup of the day (taco). Flavors were great. The soup could have been a little warmer but the taste could not be beat. The club sandwich my husband had and the onion rings were really good. We're in town for vacation at the lake and we just couldn't stand the thought of one more day of loose meat sandwiches, so we decided to check out the local restaurants. We found this place with solid reviews, and decided to check it out. The reviews did not lead us astray on this one! This place was a phenomenal find! When we pulled up, we didn't know what to expect. It kind of looked like a hole in the wall diner off the main road. Inside, was a VERY different story! The decor is kind of a shabby chic that gives it a lot of charm and a little touch of class that you simply don't find done well in a lot of places. The food was classic America, with gourmet burgers, seared to absolute perfection! We only had lunch, so we didn't try a dinner entree, but I assume those are are equally impressive, and the staff was absolutely wonderful, adding that final touch of Southern hospitality to an already outstanding experience. Oh, and the prices were extremely reasonable! If you're down here, you owe it to yourself to skip the standard fast food joint garbage and stop in for a great meal. read more

I stopped by for lunch a few days ago while driving through town...had a decent lunch. Let me start with the food review because it was the best part. I ordered fried mushrooms and then a Sweet and Spicy grilled chicken pita. The mushrooms were basically from a frozen bag. Not bad, just not homemade for sure. The chicken pita was pretty great and was a big portion. No huge complaints about the food at all. The restaurant is in a small strip mall type place tucked behind another building. You'd never see it or a sign if you aren't specifically looking for it. The interior was a little dated. The booths and tables look like they could use upgrading. The decor....it looked like they were striving for a French bistro look (assuming so, because of the name)...lots of blues and browns and flowing fabric curtains hanging where there aren't actual windows. Again, just probably could use updating. The service.....this may just be a personal preference thing, so it might not be fair to knock a star off, but I just had to. I was confused who my waitress was (this isn't why I knocked a star). Girl A seated me, took my drink order and appetizer order. Girl B took my regular order. Girl A brought out the appetizer. Girl B brought out my drink and meal. Girl A offered a refill. Girl B brought my ticket. Idk it was confusing who I was tipping. However, the part I hated: Girl A called me "Sweetheart," "Darling," and "Honey" repeatedly. HUGE pet peeve and will usually cost you a tip every single time because it ruins my experience. (I did tip this time because I wasn't sure who my server was). Anyway, if you're obviously 15-20 tears younger than me and NOT my grandma, don't ever use pet names for me. It's highly unprofessional and assumes a level of familiarity that just isn't there. Like when I first heard her call me Darling, I immediately wanted to leave. But I didn't. I was civil. I just probably won't stop again if I'm driving through. So, if you're completely fine with pet names from a college age student, a slightly depressing decor, but decent food, I would say give it a try. read more

Ventured out to Fairfield Bay, Arkansa from NYC on a spontaneous road trip with friends. After much searching and very disappointed outside the resort searching for good food we were so blessed to find this perfectly hidden treasure we nearly missed driving through the town of Clinton on our way to a local Walmart. We were a little skeptical at first considering the surrounding restaurants in the area we visited. We immediately felt comfortable and welcomed when we walked in.. Greeted by the chef/owner I think and the hostess/waitress. The entry/foyer area was very nicely decorated it was so homey and modern. We were seated comfortably in the cozy dining area. Music was nice, simple menu with reasonable prices. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. The waitress was very nice in providing recommendations and explaining. Our drinks were awesome, we ordered the 3 appetizer special for 10.99 golden fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, fried green beans which came with 3 sauces and was delicious. We had the Burbon burger with bacon, onion rings and fries and the grilled chicken with avocado sandwich on Ciabatta Bread and fries. It was amazing... Finally we had after 3 days a perfect lunch. The waitress brought us complimentary dessert to taste which was a delicious homemade fudge cake of some sort all I can say is that we we so stuff and felt so good after that meal. All for 27.00$ I really liked that they did not rush to take plates off our table even when one of us was done before the other done. The waitress was the best. I LOVE hole in the wall restaurants and this is definitely a classy, hole in the wall. The atmosphere, wait staff, and food is incredible! I highly, highly recommend the chicken salad croissant. It reminds me of the kind my nanny would make, and on top of the soft croissant - amazing! I also enjoyed the Sweet Chili chicken pitas but, It was extremely spicy, so I may have enjoyed it more if it was just enough spice to wake me up but I had to take a few breaks to calm my mouth down. However, fried pickles were perfectly done, ranch was tasty. 10/10 And the BBQ Bacon Ranch Burger (? Possibly the name, I forgot), but it was really tasty!! I don't usually order a burger when I go out to restaurants because "you can get a burger anywhere", but I really enjoyed this one! The onion ring was a great touch. I also had their "love potion" mixed drink and it was delicious! Well made, wasn't too strong but wasn't weak. Our waitress was attentive, and kept our drinks full as well as kept the table clean.
