We were here for a work conference in Fairfield Bay and this was literally the only spot open (Sunday 6pm) that might have allergy safe food for my celiac needs. I ordered fajitas with corn tortillas.... The food was ok, it was pretty greasy (removed a star for greasiness) and I did get sick. The server was attentive but we did struggle with a language barrier. I informed him of my gluten allergy. I asked three times if the tortillas were corn as well as made sure the fajitas were gluten free. I cannot be for sure I got sick from here because of traveling and all that entails.... We were looking for a place to go for Cinco de Mayo and found this casual spot. The ambience was friendly and casual. The food was very good and large portions! We took quite a bit home for another meal. There is not alcohol which didn't bother us at all The servers seemed to know most people coming on and greeted everyone with a friendly "Hello!" I'm giving five stars to this restaurant. We came in at 2:30. The ambience, the food, and the service were all very authentic. Our server was Walfre. He was very quick, efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. He even helped me with my Spanish. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was delicious. I have no complaints of my quesadillas and we both especially loved the rice with the added vegetables. When I say, the food was more than enough, my husband and I had enough to bring home for dinner. But best of all were the prices!! My husband and I travel often, these were by far the best prices we've seen. Las Playitas is our new favorite. read more
