What a huge coffee location, easiest the nicest I've been in with lots of seating, comfortable atmosphere and Mikayla, my server was super sweet and delighted to help with my drink order. The store was clean, wonderful staff, cozy atmosphere and very refreshing. There was a girl outside, on our way out, with a flat tire so my husband and I plus another couple, made time to stop and lend a hand. I always like the style of art and music inside a Starbucks, kind of hipster. There were five customers inside and several outside present. Took quite a while for my coffee to be ready? Not sure why, maybe the drive through? No, there was only a car there every few minutes. When it did come out, there was no sleeve on it and it was pretty dang hot. The cup also felt sticky. I'm not sure why. The staff seem kind of bored and not happy to be at work. None of them made eye contact the whole time I was there. Did my coffee taste good, yes. Could the people who work here use some enthusiasm and personality, yes as well. Hence only three stars.

One table of 4 ppl chatting, and one table of 1 working, and me waiting at the counter. I never did get to place an order. I sat down and tried to get online. Turns out this is NOT a good location for laptop use and working. The only plugs are on the large centered table. So, trying for a quiet side table is a bust here. Plus, I tried to connect to wifi for 30 min without success. Another person said they got online but it was extremely slow. One person walked in, tried unsuccessfully to get online, and then left without coffee. I left without coffee and having missed an online appointment. I'm done with this location. There are two in Round Rock, one off the square in Georgetown, and the one I have come to the most frequently, the Hutto location off East Street. When I was first looking for an apartment in the Hutto area, I decided to try Lamppost to see if Hutto had good coffee and was kind of disappointed that the latte I ordered was not that great in my opinion. After moving to the area and trying their coffee more frequently, my tune has changed on them, and I can say that they are pretty good. Their seasonal drinks are usually what I gravitate toward, like their Orange Chocolate Cortado, their Mr. and Mrs. Claus they served recently, and an espresso tonic I had earlier last year that was great. Their specialty Lamba Latte is one of the best consistent things on their menu. What is their Lamba syrup? I could not tell you, but it is a moderate sweetness that does not taste exactly like a vanilla latte. It has some marshmallow flavors and some caramel flavors as well. What I like most about Lamppost is how bright and naturally well lit their space is. The large windows and doors face the east, so once the sun has risen, you get a pretty well illuminated space by the afternoon. It is great for team meetings, remote work, and anything in between. I will continue coming back to Lamppost because they are the only place in Hutto that can really bring that sunshine with their coffee. RIYL: Lattes that you do not know exactly what is in them and they tell you to just #trust them.

Back then, my husband was not happy, you could not order coffee at the table, you had to go to the other side and get coffee and then bring to to the table if you wanted breakfast. Well, a LOT has changed with this place since then. #1...they will bring you what ever coffee you want to order, and they will pick up from next door and bring it to you (husband was happy about that). #2, they now serve lunch and dinner (*we didn't try that yet, but will be back to try that later). Now, Rebecca our server was so nice! She put up with my husband's "shanigans", as he always tries to joke about with everyone! He was hungry, so got the "Big Ol' Breakfast", which had your eggs, half a ham steak, sausage, bacon (Oh, sooo good) breakfast potatoes (could have been just a little more "crisped up), and pancakes!! He cleaned his plate!! LOL! I had (and did not realize until I read my last review, I had "half" of same I ordered before), the Benedict Sampler (where you can choose TWO of benedicts). I got the "Southwest Steak" (*which is what I had last time..LOL), ohhh soo good! If you like "Spicy"...get this...the green chiles and cilantro-lime sauce make this dish! Then, the other one was the "Golden State" with tomato, bacon and avocado (*and little spice too with Siracha sauce on top), and also had the very good breakfast potatoes!
