After many emails, text messages, and voice mails about signing this agreement, I then received a text from Will Spears today. It was rude and disrespectful stating I would need to bring their car back - the car is financed through KEMBA so they don't even own the car - not even sure they can even think about taking it back. My Kia Forte had a flat tire and the towing service took it to the Coughlin Kia Agency here in my area on Thursday at about 4:30 pm. They were swamped and Heather took my information (I was already in computer since I bought my Kia from the dealership last year). Danny called me the very next morning and said they were able to get me a "sister" tire and get me back on the road today. That's within 17 hours!!! I was amazed. He ran my credit card and said they would be dropping my car off to me so I wouldn't have to come back out to agency. In September 2023 my son purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento and we mentioned MANY times that this car was being purchased to drive to Florida. Four days later during the drive, the back rear tire was covered with brake dust (they informed us it had new breaks). After terrible brake noise the car was taken to a brake shop where they informed him there were no breaks left on the rear wheels. On left wheel, piston was exposed which kept rear brake partially engaged, rusted, corroded. Mechanic in Florida said car was not fit be on the road in this condition. First my buying experience I thought everything was going smoothly but that did not last long they sent us home without a 30 day tag. They told me there was not a military discount I checked on line at home there was a 300.00 military discount which I have not received. we had an appointment to pick up our vehicle we sat there for about fifteen minutes while our salesman was busy with a customer he asked a salesperson to help us he spent maybe fifteen minutes explaining some of the features that was not nearly the time required so since then we have been at a loss trying to figure to figure out the computer screen. Now let's talk about the service department my 2023 Seltos is not running like a new vehicle should the service tech told me to buy a fuel additive for 28.00 I have been back 3 times and treated poorly, one tech said that it was the characteristic of the transmission. I'm 79 years old and so frustrated with this dealer. My next moved is to contact KIA and hopefully they will intervene. In January of 2021, we had nothing but amazing things to say about this dealership. I was constantly bragging about it to friends and family and online as well. We bought our Kia here and all had been amazing until now. I was involved in a car accident this past January and this location doesn't do body work which was fine. We got it fixed up somewhere else, but we had an issue with gas getting into the engine the day we got it back. This was one month ago, and Coughlin Kia has had my car since and we are absolutely through with this location. The supervisor in the service department has done well with putting up with us and hearing our frustrations, kudos to him, however every time we have called for an update (they have not once tried updating us themselves through this whole shebang), we've been given a different story every time. The part is in, the car is almost done, the part just arrived, i don't know what is going on with your car... The list goes on. They found a whole other issue other than what's going on and that's finally fixed. We were told the car would be done in 2 days time... a WEEK ago. The tech has been out since Saturday to finish fixing it, and they can't get anyone else to do work on it in the shop. I completely understand they're busy and behind as it is, but when we have been told they prioritize the cars that have been there the longest, which is OUR car, and nothing is being done... I feel like a "Karen" because we are beyond frustrated at this point. We had to break down and buy a 2nd vehicle (we've been without our car for 3 months now) because we've been borrowing from family. We were hoping for a discount of any kind after the issues that we've had here, and they wouldn't budge so my husband completely walked away and we are through with Kia after our car is back. After a day of car shopping we thankfully found an amazing car in Canal Winchester at Jeff Wyler. All locations we shopped at yesterday heard our story and tried giving us deals on the vehicles we were interested in. My wife and I unfortunately purchased our KIA Teluride at this dealership; if not for the KIA shortage, I guarantee we would have went somewhere else for sure... My wife called and spoke with a woman to ensure that the cars we wanted to see were there and available to look at since we were coming from over an hour away... We started out with a very nice salesman, he queried if we had spoken to anyone else; we told him that we spoke to a lady on the phone to see if the telurides were here; after about half an hour, another salesman named Bill said that we were his lead even though we had never spoken to him, he was not very tactful about the way that he did it, if there were Telurides available elsewhere we would have walked out right then, but we figured we would get this over with and regrettably now we stayed... Ever since the sale, Bill has continued to call us from various phone numbers harassing my wife and I, kind of creepy to me... Yesterday I got a notice from the bmv to renew my tags which the dealership had supposedly transferred over to the new car that we had purchased; come to find out they are still registered to the car that we traded in, thank god we never got pulled over, my wife called the dealer today they said we were supposed to do it which I have never had happen when I bought a new car... I leased a 2020 KIA Sorento from Doug. The Sorento I leased was $279 a month with zero down. I asked Doug if there were any other lease offers on Sorento vehicles with a higher trim level and he said there were none and that today was the last day of this particular lease. I had $6000 trade allowance from my trades but was offered first $235 then $205 as a monthly payment which means I only received $3500 for my trade. I asked for 15,000 miles a year and was told the max I could get was 12,000 miles a year. After going home I looked up the current lease deals and everything I asked for and was told was not available turned out to be available. Doug the honest salesman either lied to me or was ignorant to the current lease programs Kia has to offer. I had issues with tires not being rotated on my KIA Sedona by three KIA dealership service departments to include Coughlin KIA (formerly Matt Taylor KIA), only the name changed, the staff and mediocre service hasn't changed at all. The service department has rotated my tires once during the last twenty months. I have had four oil changes and two service visits specifically for tire issues related to Matt Taylor/Coughlin KIA service not properly rotating tires as requested every oil change. I have also had two appointments specifically related to tire road noise and vibration and the service managers Todd and Kim refused to balance and rotate tires and perform an alignment stating the recognitions could not hear or feel anything wrong with the tires. Four months later Todd Fox has Austin and Michael upsell me tires saying the tires need to be replaced. The tire manufacturer gave me a claim number to give to Matt Taylor/Coughlin KIA that was supposed to get me new tires free of charge. I am repeatedly told I never gave them a claim and I keep being told I have to buy tires for a Sorento that had 14,300 miles when I first reported the issue and 20000 miles the last time I followed up on the tire replacement claim. Still either being ignored which happens 99% of the time. No follow up except for when the owner told Todd to "deal with me" which was just a telephone call stating their policy is I have to buy new tires no matter what and if they thing there is a manufacturers issue I might get a partial refund. The tire issue with my leased Sorento was caused by negligence on the Coughlin/Matt Taylor service department. I decided since I was being ignored that maybe I should just get rid of this vehicle. I stopped into Coughlin to look at a K5, I was greeted by a friendly female sales associate who let me sit in the K5. I was told I needed to give up license and proof of insurance to drive the car. While waiting I shared my last purchase experience, and the service center experience. I find it interesting that people who promise to take of me during a sale never do anything when it comes to getting the vehicle serviced properly. 35 minutes to get my license photocopied and when the sales person came back she announced she would accompany me on the test drive. I have been test driving cars at this location since they opened in 2014 and I have never been required to have a sales person come along for the test drive. I find it irritating and uncomfortable to have a sales staff along for a ride it serves no purpose. Anyway as she was getting a plate for the K5 I wanted to drive she stopped to chat with the sales manager, I saw that he was looking at his computer giving her a thumbs up. I decided I didn't want to have a test drive with this sales person. And called out something came up and to forget about it. As I was walking out to my car Doug Mosack called out to me apologizing for not helping me. When I responded to him by saying I wasn't leaving because of him, he commented that I might have had a problem with him. I told him I wasn't happy with my last sales experience with him to which he immediately replied that he is the most honest salesman there and that he is offended that I implied he was dishonest. He then told me to "Get out of here, go take your business somewhere else", and turned around and walked away. Doug lied to or omitted information during my lease purchase three times and he has the gall to send me off. I decided that I should take Mr Mosack's advice and take my business elsewhere. I will be selling my KIA Sorento and will never purchase a KIA or Hyundai product ever again. Thank You Coughlin KIA! read more

My Kia Forte was stolen in January 2023 and was found with thousands of dollars worth of damage. Having your car stolen is not a fun thing and having to deal with Coughlin Kia only made it worse. It took several weeks to get an estimate for repairs for my insurance company, so much so, that my insurance company contacted me asking if I had heard anything because they were just being ignored. Then once repairs had finally been started, I was told that there were several parts needed that were on an international back order. I was patient, but after a month and a half with absolutely no communication, I had to be the one to reach out again to get any sort of update on my vehicle. Brandon Dawson was in charge of the ongoing repairs of my car and when I finally got ahold of him, I was told that we were waiting on the last 2 parts before my car would be cleaned and finished. He said he had a lead with someone he talked to with my insurance company and asked if I had their phone number (it was not anyone I had ever dealt with) but he did not even remember the name of the person he was referring to. At the end of the call, Brandon said he would check on the leads he had for one of the parts we were waiting on and would give me a call back the next day hopefully by lunch time, but if not, for sure by the end of the day. The next day (Thursday) came and went without any call or email from Brandon, and so did the rest of the weekend. I called the service department in Lancaster the following week 15 times before I was ever able to speak to a single person. This is when I found out that we were in fact waiting on at least two more parts, in addition to the previous parts we were already waiting on. Brandon finally emailed me the next day (Monday) and said the remaining parts should be there the next day (Tuesday) and the goal was to have my car back to me by the end of the next day (Tuesday). However, all I got was radio silence. No car and no communication whatsoever. Then two days later (Thursday), I was told my wipers stopped working but they had already found the part they needed and got it approved by my insurance, so the work would be completed as soon as the part got there. But then, you guessed it, still no car. Brandon would never answer a phone call and would only provide updates through email. I finally was able to speak to Danny the next day (Friday) who said the parts showed they were supposed to be delivered early in the next week (Tuesday) and that I should be able to get my car back by the end of the next week (Wednesday, but Thursday at the latest). Monday of the next week I received a text message from Brandon's personal cell phone saying him and Coughlin had parted ways but he asked if I would do him a favor and bring my car over to his house after the work is done on it so he could finish the detailing of it himself so he wouldn't lose out on the money for the time he had already spent on my car. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and a complete violation of my privacy. When my car was finally able to be picked up there was still a large amount of body damage that was not repaired. When my car was brought in, my father and I made sure to emphasize the body damage to ensure it was taken care of as well. We both were reassured by Brandon several times throughout the months that Coughlin had my vehicle that it would be taken care of. It wasn't until the day that I went to pick it up that we were informed that Coughlin Kia in Lancaster does not do any body work on site, meaning we were blatantly lied to by Brandon from the day my car arrived at the shop. Heather is NOT the person that repeatedly lied to myself and my father and did NOT cause any of the mess that she had to walk into. That was ALL caused by Brandon. She has been the only person that seems like they are actually trying to help instead of just minimizing responsibility for the massive headache I have had to deal with for the past 3.5 months. read more

I'm leaving 1 star because zero isn't an option. I purchased a new Kia Telluride in May 2023 - upon driving it home I realized that the sunroof did not work. I contacted my salesperson and set up an appointment with the service department. The day before the appointment I was contacted by the service department informing me that there would not be anyone available to work on my car and my appointment needed to be rescheduled 3 -4 weeks out. Long story short, I ended up going all summer without a functioning sunroof. At my service appointment I was told that after 2 1/2 hours that they could not figure out what was wrong with it and would need to schedule yet another appointment. I was told that to be prepared to be without a car for 2 days. The attitude of the service department when I mentioned that this is a BRAND NEW CAR was "Oh Well." I get the impression that once they sell you a car they are done with you and don't care what happens next. My next Kia will definitely be purchased elsewhere. read more

Please don't mis-understand me when I write this review. I think the entire car buying process is like pulling teeth. I've bought many, but this process has been the worst of all. Granted, my situation is unique and may not be like everyone else, but I was still a potential client, until today. We have a unique financial situation. I didn't expect miracles, but I expected them to do their jobs. I handed them everything they needed to purchase a used vehicle. After four plus hours to be told that my corporation has to physically call the bank is unheard of (lie number 1). My corporation provided an employment verification line and that wasn't good enough, until I called the potential bank. I had to make a call to my corporation to verify this information which they could have yesterday. I had to call the financial institution to verify my information and situation. I made sure they understood what was going on and they accepted the phone number to verify employment. (Lie number twp). The dealership also lied to the bank about the date of employment. (Lie number three). The sales person was giving me the run around all morning, so going on ten hours of my time. No answers, just text messages. This is not how you do business. We weren't given choices after repeatedly asking about even a second vehicle. At this point, I am frustrated and over-whelmed and completely underwhelmed in the lack of professionalism that I received from the dealership. I asked to speak to a manager as to why these mistakes happened. No return call. No follow up. So buyer beware, good luck in all your car buying needs. read more

Traded in my car that had an extended warranty purchased for it, was told I'd receive the refund for it in the mail in 6-8 weeks.. that was in November. Called dealership today and was told that was not the case and somehow the dealership added it to the trade in balance, when on my bill of sales it says the trade in amount is exactly what we agreed to... prior to them knowing about the service contract. If you do business with this dealership do yourself a favor and cancel your extended warranties and GAP yourself before trading in a car. read more

I would so love to give them 5 stars. Their after purchase care has a lot to be desired. They promised to steam clean my seats and didn't they need steam cleaned. It was a hassle having to accommodate them when I brought my SUV it detailed and still didnt clean it up under the back seats. They promised a loaner car, no loaner car I had to make arrangements to get to and from Lancaster myself. They did not ever look at the issue I felt in the rear end, that's under warranty.i made my payment early and after more than 30 days after paying my SUV no registration. I called several times they say it's in the mail, or I can go get it at the dmv...its their responsibility to get it to me, I will not run around trying to get it, waste my time and gas money when they should have already gotten it to me. So disappointed with all these issues. I really like my sales Lady. That why it bothers me to have such bad after purchase care. read more
