Just replaced my second fuel pump for my 2016 GMC Sierra, it is five years old but only has just under 21k miles, the original factory fuel pump only last 34k miles. The last fuel pump was more expensive, installed by Hugh White Chevy, cheap Mexican made fuel pump that sells between $54 and $75 on Amazon and Walmart websites. I was told this was a genuine GM Part, it is not a GM part. This review is more about the cheap non OEM part and the damage done to it before or during installation. There has always been a gasoline smell since the new one was installed. Two service departments no issues found. Turns out there is a piece missing from the top of the pump and several cracks in the top of the fuel pump that was just replaced. Chris the service advisor swears a Delphi fuel pump was installed that has a lifetime warranty, I have a Delphi box containing the damaged but functional fuel pump. Management didn't bother to follow up on complaint that a damaged fuel pump was installed or that it was damaged during installation and sent out of the service department anyway. 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 with 54k miles now on its third fuel pump. The service advisor Chris stumbled all over himself explaining how rust damage on a plastic part made it inoperable. $2400 for fuel pump, oil change tire rotation, plus labor and diagnosis of evaporator system. The cashier saw a discrepancy in diagnostic charges and amended it after discussing with another advisor, reducing cost to just under $2300. Ask questions, make sure the verbal warranty they say is on a part is in writing, last lifetime warranty on a Mexican fuel pump was actually only a 2 year warranty. Truck runs fine, no issues so far, only 100 miles out on it since the repair. Will follow up after vacation, using truck for long trip. read more

Buyer beware post! Be careful purchasing from High White. I bought a used car at the end of July. 2019 Hyundai Sonata. I drove it off the lot and across the street, the engine light came on and it was humming. Throttle body sensor was bad and the back rotors and tires were bad. They did fix it. I took the car back and within a couple weeks the car wouldn't start. I had to have it towed back to them! I paid $1200 for spark plugs and a starter. Couple weeks later car is down again. Told me I'd have to pay for another diagnostic. I changed the battery and it worked for a couple days. Now car is down again. I've had the car less than 4 months. I don't even know what to do. Just be careful before you choose them. read more

I was wanting to trade in my Gray Kia Forte for a Chevrolet Brand. I thought I wanted a 2025 dark blue Malibu with all the bells and whistles. I saw one online but it wasn't in my town and I didn't want to drive 45 miles just to see this particular car. Fortunately for me I called Buckeye Chevrolet in my hometown. My best friend took her Honda many x's for a light on her dashboard. She had positive experiences. I called Buckeye Chevrolet in town to see if they could get the Malibu into their dealership but it was already sold. I talked with a salesman (no pressure honestly) named Tye Harden. I went out to see him and he showed me a nice gray Malibu 2025. I liked it but I didn't like the payment, too high for me and I have excellent credit. So Tye said to my surprise what about a "Trax" ? It is a great vehicle and they are lower in price. I found my match! It had ALL accessories I wanted and more I never thought of in a vehicle. So the price was right for me and Eric in finance met me in the middle. So if you want a new vehicle but don't like to deal with high prices I recommend Tye Harden. See attachment for all information. Great bunch to work with. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. read more

Hugh White recently did work for a Check Engine light which turned out to be bad spark plugs at 108,100 miles and they were due at 100,000 miles on a 12-year-old Cadillac CTS which made sense. The bill was corrected like another review because they forgot to add the materials for the ice blasting of the intake cover which I accepted. What did not make sense is two days later, another check engine light came on and they diagnosed it as a missing hose clamp from over the valve cover after they had just done the work two days before and charged me to basically fix their mistake. The best part is the original diagnosis was a cracked air intake housing. I am no longer confident regarding their techs or correcting their wrongs. I received a follow up call and told her my story, the young lady was sympathetic to my complaint but that was it. I cannot recommend them for service work when they will not own up their own mistake. I understand they still have to pay the technicians but I should not have to for their mistake. I asked for some reciprocity on the second bill but nothing. And they want me to bring my Corvette there for service; I don't think so. read more

I had a great experience. After doing months of research on crossovers and SUVs I decided to look at the Chevy Trax. My main focus was affordability, and dependability followed by aesthetics. I like the fact that I wasn't stalked by tons of salespeople when I first got there and I wasn't treated like I didn't know anything because Im a female. My sales person, Brian, was great very patient and not high pressure. His co worker referred to him as "the Chevy guy" so I knew this process was going to be outstanding. I was able to get an amazing trade in Value for my 2015 Impala Before going to any other dealership go to Hugh White in Lancaster Ohio (where the old Taylor Chevy used to be) Also I would warn doing business with some of those chain or big box dealers. Hugh White is definitely more customer focused than treating you like just another person buying a car. read more

UPDATE: called to schedule my 105k mile service (only to keep my lifetime warranty active and not have to drive to Ricart the next closest Nissan service center) and apparently I am over due for a 100k mile service (the service I requested when I took it he car in back in January) which means my lifetime warranty is void. Then when I reach out to them to get the issue resolved, they send me an email asking me to "stop in to look at their inventory"(screenshot of email included) TLDR:DO NOT TRUST THEM I was bait and switched, didn't do the work they were asked to do, did work that was much more expensive than the requested work, voided my lifetime warranty on a car I owned 6 months. First I was bait and switched, I was told $350-400 when dropping car off. Bill was 583 which is more than the 10% (thats a 45.75% increase) increase over a written OR verbal estimate that is allowed by Ohio state law without prior approval. Also glad I didn't wait on it because the verbal estimate wasn't the only lie I was told that day, I had an appointment and was told about 4 hours i was notified it was ready 6 hours later. they also did a trans flush which is only an inspect fluid item on a 100k service(that now according to them I am over due for now). Causing me to spend way more money than me, or apparently, any of their employees thought I would be spending that day. read more

This review pertains to the service department only as I needed some warranty work done. This was my first visit here, I called a week prior to schedule, and was surprised that they were able to get me in so quick. I arrived for my appointment, and I must say finding the service department was a bit challenging. Some signage off of the entrance would be helpful in pointing customers in the proper direction. I walked up to a service advisor, he was not too friendly. He gathered info from my vehicle and told me it would be about an hour. There is a nice waiting room with several seating arrangements. Coffee and water available as well as various vending machines. Approximately an hour later, he said my vehicle was ready, but the "system was down" and that he would have to mail me the paperwork. I found this a bit odd. I'm skeptical that it will be mailed, but I will update the review in a couple of days. UPDATE: the paperwork was E-mailed to me. I appreciate their follow through! Updated to three stars. read more

Bought a car from Hugh White in late 2021 when the inventory was very low (still is). Kyle was great in letting me text drive some of their used inventory for the vehicles that were coming in. I bought the vehicle while it was in route. It took about 2 weeks to obtain possession. Financing guy, Eric was a little short with me but we got what we needed done. I have since taken the vehicle back for its first service and had a great experience. read more

My husband and I were on the hunt for a new, 2021, black Chevy Suburban (which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays). Matt Pugh helped end our search by helping us BUILD our dream Suburban! He even had great contacts for businesses that would deliver on our interest in "blackout decals." We are from Grove City and made the drive to Lancaster because from the first phone conversation with Matt we felt like we were treated as a friend or family member--not just a "next sale." He really wanted to deliver what we wanted and did everything he could to get us just that, price and all. When we went to pick it up, our Suburban was sparkling in their showroom-like garage, ready to go for us! I'm sure there are dealerships WAAAY closer to where YOU live (we have one literally down the street from us), but you will be welcomed to Hugh White Lancaster as if you are family. Do yourself a favor--make the drive to Lancaster to make your car, truck, or SUV dream come true with Matt Pugh! read more

If you want to be bothered for the rest of your life by Hugh White and their team, then PLEASE give them your contact number when you ask about Purchasing a car. And even though I specifically told the sales person that I did not want to be on any list he insisted that I had to leave my email to get the price and that I would NOT be on any mailing list. What a CROCK! Almost as good as the fake "unsubscribe" button that gives you a notice that the action can't be completed. And so I only ask one small favor. would you please provide ME with the private email of your general manger and owner so that I can sign them up for some spam mail as well. Trust me, I would never do business that knowingly lies to get my private information and then uses it against me. God knows what would have happened if I actually had bought my car from them. Extended warranty anyone? Insurance companies calling you day and night? How about those service reminders? Hugh White is a mess. read more

I went to Hugh White to look at different vehicles because I was about to pay off a car I had and I wanted something more reliable because I was going to be driving to Columbus for work. My old car was not in the best of shape, but they worked what they could and got me an affordable monthly payment. They were polite, can be a little pushy, but that's their job, any dealership I've ever been to, are this way, but they don't cross the line. I only take my car to Hugh White for all the work, including regular oil changes. When I start looking at upgrading again, I will return here. My husband ended up trading his truck in at Hugh White too and got a truck he loves even more, that was 7+ months ago, and from their pre-owned lot. Both our vehicles are 2015s. read more

I am posting this review to warn people of this dealership. I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. Upon driving it home, I noticed an issue with the road noise/sounds and braking. I took it to a local mechanic who showed me the rotors- they were extremely thin and had tons of divots in them- NOT road safe at all, But Hugh White had put brand new brakes on it- yet ignored the bad rotors. When I called to tell them, they merely dismissed it stating it had only been on the lot 1 day prior to myself buying it- .....it shouldn't have been on the lot at that point. I noticed some paint-bubbled areas which appeared to be minor. I just recently had the paintwork redone and it was found to have tons of overspray, and lots of underlying bodywork- the rear panel had evidence of 4 layers of work done. The sensors were loose -not in place, and the stripping around the windshield and windows was taped into place. Several clips to hold trim were broken and those pieces were also taped in place. I would never buy another vehicle from this dealership. They clearly did not inspect the vehicle as none of these issues were disclosed. read more

This rating is a two because of the salesperson, Calvin. Without his good service it would be a 1 star. We made an appointment for a designated time but that person decided to not be available. Why make an appointment? Calvin did a good job and it is too bad he cannot get an independent rating it would at least be a 4. We met at the Nissan Building. The atmosphere here is of a clean garage not like a sales floor. Visit the main building to see what a professional atmosphere is like. The manager we wound up dealing with has very little people skills. We had to be rude to get a deal from him. He blamed the inability to deal because of covid. He then quoted several pricing services that proved what the vehicle we were buying was worth. We checked the KBB which he intentionally did not quote because it indicated his deal wasn't all that. Even further, he showed a disregard for me and my wife by refusing to properly wear his mask. He showed no respect for me or those he was working with. Once we made it to the business office (we got that far simple because my wife didn't want to go through the experience at another dealer, we can afford to over pay a little) we waited over for over 30 mins. Once we complained to an office we finally met the business manager who essentially called me a liar and indicated we only waited 10 mins. This review is specific to the service portion of the dealership. I'm very disappointed with the quality of service and hidden price increases (major) from the original quote. My car had overheated, I called and made an appointment to possibly get the head gasket replaced. The next day after dropping off the car I was informed that the engine head and block were both possibly warped; meaning the engine would need replaced. I was quoted a price for a used engine. After a week I was then informed the used engine that was delivered wasn't in a usable condition so another would have to be ordered. So, after a week or so the second used engine was delivered, but this second used engine also wasn't in a usable condition - again. After that debacle I decided to forgo a used engine and go with a new remanufactured engine direct from GM. I was quoted a price of $6,000 for the engine and complete installation. This was a phone conversation/quote. I put $3,000 down towards the overall $6,000 quoted price leaving $3,000 remaining after the service was complete. Unfortunately, it took 6 months to get the new remanufactured engine delivered. I don't blame Hugh White for this, everything is slow nowadays. After the new engine was received and installed, I went to pay for the service and was told the amount remaining for payment was $5,000. This is a total of $8,000, $2,000 above the original quoted price! Unfortunately, I was informed the original quote couldn't be found, and the person providing the original quote no longer worked at Hugh White. So, the additional cost was added. Had I known that I would have NEVER agreed to have the work completed. My car isn't even worth $8,000 to me. I realize a quote is an estimate and can slightly change but changing by $2,000 is unacceptable. In addition, I was originally told that most of the external parts from my original engine could be put on the new remanufactured engine. Appears most of the original parts were not used on the new engine, which also drove the price higher. On top of that, once I got the car home and was looking over the car, I noticed the hood is totally misaligned. My assumption is that the hood was removed during the engine replacement but was reinstalled without proper realignment - or maybe the brackets or something were bent during the engine replacement. Also, I noticed a tar like substance all over the car. The Hugh White lot was recently repaved so evidently tar was splashed on the hood and trunk. This experience has created doubt about ever doing any business again with Hugh White or possibly any other GM dealership if this is the new standards being passed to customers. read more

Excellent service dept! They got my wife back on the road quickly at a very reasonable cost. Thanks Jim B!

I bought a Nissan Rogue at Hugh White , it was used and I paid cash . I put 285 miles on the car when the check engine light came on . This took less than 3 weeks . To fix the it would be 1500 plus . This is the 2nd lemon I bought from that car lot . read more
