Lindsey and the entire crew was so kind, professional and efficient! I would not hesitate to bring our car here again! Also they have a wonderful play area and everything is super clean and spacious. It has been a month since I bought a used 2016 Chevy Malibu. I was talked into agreeing to be approved to finance the car by Anthony Knapp and his sales manager before they would accept my out the door offer of $19000. They kept pushing me to pay more with Mr Knapp indicating they need to charge that price in case there is something wrong with the car. They got their money and there is something wrong with the car. I didn't save any money because they increased the 7.75% interest rate from the Bank to 9.25%. So I didn't get a deal, what I bought was a low mileage car with electrical problems and a leak in the trunk that drips water over the entirety of the trunk interior. I repaired the rear upper wind screen brake light gasket out of pocket already and that was a waste of money. I called to set an appointment to have the issues looked and and was told none of those issues are covered by any warranty they offered and I had to pay $100 per hour shop rate. I was blown off by Mr Knapp and when I did talk to him, he stated it's used as is that is the risk. Totally different response from the empty promises he gave me about this car being in excellent shape. He did however kept asking me if there was anything else he could help me with. These guys offered me $9780 to trade it in on another car with no options. Last month it was worth $19000, yesterday it's worth $ 9780. You can trust that I am going to be paying a pile of money for a diagnosis and I have already been told they won't work on the electrical components, I would have to take it to a Chevy dealer. The only thing you can trust about these guys is that they will get you to overpay for a car they know has problems for more than it's worth telling you they are losing money, shake hands on a price, and then make up the difference by giving consumes a sellers finance rate increase after you shook hands on a deal. So far Im eating the cost and having to take the car elsewhere for it to get fixed. How is this helpful to me? read more

Made appointment for 12:30p for antire replacement. Around 1pm I'm told I need all 4 new tires. At 2:30p I'm told there's also a brake caliper that needs replaced and that it's going to be an hour more. At 4:30p I ask what's going on, the car is elevated and nobody seems to be working on it and I'm told it's going to be another half hour. It was another 50 minutes. They should do an initial complete assessment and tell you everything that is wrong with the car up front and give a realistic timeframe. It's expensive repairs AND having to wait way longer than told. Also, I was quoted $1,113 but ended up paying $1,730. Felt like a ripoff. read more

I willingly pay the extra for having Honda certified parts/technicians, but then to gouge me for an extra 3% now is ridiculous. Wish I could give negative stars. 2020 Honda Accord I bought last August on my birthday. I had a dinner that night that I told them about. They took advantage of me being in a hurry. I shook hands with Barry and Jason on 25,500, before I told them my down payment. I put down $5,500. They UPCHARGED the price of the vehicle, without telling me, to 31,000 (MSRP was ~27k) They then applied my down payment to get it to 25,500. I also qualified for 1.9% interest, they snuck 2.9% into my contract. I am 24, this was my first solo buy. I negotiated for an hour+ to get the price down to where I thought was fair. They took advantage of someone who they knew would not read the contract carefully because I was going to be late for my birthday dinner. I am at a loss for words and sick about this situation. I took my car in on on February 25, 2022 reference number#2677871. due to I kept leaking coolant out, so I thought I will get a diagnostic test ran it will tell me everything wrong with the car, the test said that I needed a new water pump, new thermostat new drive belt and transmission cooler line. I had to leave my car over night for a part to be ordered, no big deal right. I picked my car up the next day drive it home and did not leave again until Thursday afternoon when I noticed a huge coolant puddle on the ground so i opened up my hood and seen my coolant was completely empty again. So I took it back to the shop, March 3rd 2022. reference number # 2678227 the did yet another test and said that the new water pump that they just stuck in must of malfunction and i needed yet another one. It was all done for free since I had just paid to do it the week before. When I went to go pick up my car they gave me a new invoice telling me other things wrong with my car. Now my issue is that when I brought up that I just had a diagnostic test done by them days before I had asked why it wasn't reported on the paper they gave me saying the head gasket needed replaced, as well as 2 spark plugs. The mechanic told me to my face that once he found the water pump leaking he stopped looking. So to me this says you either dont care to do your job correctly or you plain dont care about the customers either way I tried to find the President of the company mr. gerald spires, and ceo mr timothy spires, or even general managment brett conrad email's so I could submit my complaint to them instead of having to blast it all over the internet. To me something should be done. this is crazy that I now have to spend more money on a problem that should have been brought to my attention the first time of bringing my vehicle in when I had the diagnostic test ran to begin with. Isn't that the whole point of having that test done?! I do not recommend them if your going to have a diagnostic testing done. read more

*Warning: long post* I tried to be patient and give them time to fix this problem before posting, however since they are not wanting to resolve this I wanted to provide my horrible experience. I HIGHLY suggest NEVER doing business with Buckeye Honda in Lancaster, ohio or theirs sales associate Adam Thomas if you have to go there, even though his sales manager Don is more at fault for this. They have been complete liars and demonstrated the various reasons why people hate car sales process. They claim to be trusted and a family business, but their word is worthless. I looked at Buckeye over other dealerships here in Columbus, due to a recommendation of a friend and told me they could beat any Columbus dealer. On Wednesday we agreed on a price for a sale on a honda crv with Adam and his uncle Tom, and have text messages and voice mails to document this. However the next morning when Adam was back in the dealership I asked for documented purchase agreement to make the deposit, they pulled a bait and switch and said the GM would NOT honor the price they gave me and increased the price almost another $700 with no explanation. I know there are some decent honest car sales associates out there but experiences like this is what gives your profession a black eye. All we want as customers is honesty and a fair deal to get our families good safe vehicles without being jerked around. To anyone from Lancaster OH and surrounding areas I highly suggest AVOIDING this company, and take the drive to Columbus to be treated fairly and not lied to. read more

I'll admit I was frustrated and cranky when I came in to have my car checked out. But this has got to be normal, as most people do not enjoy having car troubles! Anyways, the first time I walked in there was literally no other customer, but they would not look at my car, I needed to make an appointment. While this was frustrating I understand that you need to follow proticol. So I called and tried to schedule an appointment. When I did this the woman on the phone really didn't want to make me an appointment, after I expressed that I had already tried visiting without one and that I really felt that I needed to make one. She took my information but when I pulled in the next morning they didn't have any record of my appointment. They took my information and my keys and told me they would look at it and call me. Hours later, no one had called so I went ahead and called. They hadn't even looked at it.... Eventually they adjusted some things and the price was lower that what they originally quoted me. My car did great for a day or so before it had the same issues again. Over all, I don't hate this place. The guys answering the phone need to have some customer service training as they are consistantly rough and slightly unpleasant. So not the worst ever, but make sure you call them and don't just wait for them to contact you. read more

Car has been paid for in full, 3 months later still haven't received title of course when I finally did get thru they said it was sent to me and I must have it. They also sent me paperwork for the wrong vehicle which I guess was my fault to. Not a veteran friendly establishment they can keep their power train warranty not worth the hassle of this place don't be fooled by the way they act before you buy something. I could go to the dealership that's in my backyard but I've got such a great relationship with the people here I drive from Westerville to Lancaster for my auto needs. I bought my Honda there about a month ago based on my spouses recommendation. After doing some research on there website (which was easy to navigate and use) I came in with my list of a few cars I was interested in and the sales agent Chad Balser was really sweet. After double checking my insurance information and other info they needed, he basically gave me the keys to the cars I was interested in so one by one I could take them out on a test drive as he assisting another customer. I had my spouse take notes as I drove the various cars. So when my spouse and I had narrowed it down to the one I liked the best, he got in and we test drove it a second time and he pointed out a few other features. And so when it came to the deal, my spouse looked up the Kelly Blue Book price, and we had noted the tires didn't match. So Chad put down what Buckeye offered as the 'deal', I countered, he took it to his boss and he came back with a counter offer and the offer they made was a good compromise. So what makes me like them??? CHAD WAS NOT PUSHY AT ALL!!!!!! He gave me the space to check things out, pointed out the features and helped me find the four-wheeled friend that fit me best for a good price. I had done research at other lots and felt pressured right away, to the point I had two big imposing men around me at one point. Chad was honest and introduced me to my sweet little Honda (the car to be named 'Dazy'). I have been incredibly impressed with Buckeye Honda and the staff there. My husband and I recently bought a used car here, and we got a fantastic deal. The staff was very willing to help us, and the financing was a rather simple process (and they compared banks for us to get us the lowest possible rate). In addition, their Lifetime Powertrain Warranty on used cars is unmatched. In terms of their service, I have had a few oil changes done here. First of all, the oil changes come with free car washes and vacuuming!! They never nickle-and-dime you or come up with fake repairs like a few other local places (ahem...). All the oil changes went as planned, with the exception of one. There was a problem with the lug nut, but they went out of their way to provide the replacement part and apologize for the additional wait. I couldn't be happier with their service. And as a former "local girl", I appreciate that they are involved in the community and donate to school fundraisers. read more

I sent an inquiry via the Buckeye Honda website on Monday, 8/11. I expressed interest in leasing a new Honda Pilot, and I indicated that I had "negative equity" in my current vehicle, meaning I owed more than what the vehicle was worth. I was promptly contacted by a very eager gentleman named Ray. We spoke about my situation, and he was very adamant that I come in, and that they could surely help me out. I set up an appt for 7pm that same day. When my husband and I arrived, I was informed that Ray had already left for the day. This was frustrating because he's the one I spoke with all day, and he already knew my situation. I did not feel like starting the whole process over with someone new, but the sales man informed me Ray is not a sales consultant, and his only job is to get people who inquire online in the door. We told the sales consultant (I don't even know his name because I left there so angry I didn't get a card) what we were hoping to accomplish, and he took my keys to have my vehicle appraised. He returned 10 minutes later and awkwardly explained to us that there was nothing they could do for us based on how "negative" I was in my vehicle. He refused to even run numbers and handed my keys back. I was dumbfounded because while I knew it would be a little tricky due to the negative equity, I had already been to other dealerships (Acura and GMC) who were more than willing to work with me. I told him that was fine, and that I would just take my business to Lindsay Honda. I was then informed by him that I better watch out, and that Lindsay is "squirrely" and rips people off. I am happy to report that I just drove home a brand new 2015 Honda Pilot SE this afternoon after 3 short hours (from start to finish) at Lindsay Honda. The service I received there was exceptional, and they put together a deal that met my payment goal perfectly. I called in to let the salesman know I was on my way and reiterated the car I was interested in. He said he would make sure it was pulled up and ready to test drive. He also mentioned he had a 2017 honda he thought I would be interested in. When my husband and I got there he came out and met us stating he had the 2 cars pulled up and ready. One was the 2017 he mentioned and the other was a car I didn't want. When I asked him about the car I called about he said he would check on it. I told him there are several on the website. My husband and I walked around looking at other cars until the salesman came back out and said he had NO IDEA where the cars were on the lot? We said it's not a very big lot so you're saying they're lost? He then said the cars are being serviced. We said so ALL of them are being serviced and he answered yes. So, you don't know where they are but they're being serviced? My husband and I looked at each other and said ya know what you find those cars and call us. We then left. We will never return to that dealer ever again. He knew when I called that they didn't have them so why would he let us drive 30 minutes to get there only to tell us he doesn't know where they are?! He even said his manager is baffled as well! My husband swears he pulled the 2 high priced vehicles up hoping we would like them better. I dropped in to check-out the new Pilot before dinner with no serious intention of buying anything or trading in my car. I met with Keith Jackson and he did a great job going over the car, warranty information and answering all of my questions. He was a pleasure to deal with. I was sure that I couldn't get a good deal trading in my car and I told him that I was just going to sell it instead of trading it in (I didn't tell him that I had the car listed on craigslist and had received three inquiries in just over two days); but Keith worked with me to get a great deal on our trade-in AND our new Honda.
