They replaced the starter. 2 weeks later, truck wouldn't start because of the starter coil wouldn't pick up. Sent it back in, but they didn't want to listen. Same truck...they performed an alignment and when I drove it home, it pulled worse than when I dropped it off. Took it to Firestone and they specifically commented on how far off the driver side front wheel was. Not sure what's going on with this Goodyear, but I'll never go back.

Here are 6 things you should know about Derrick's Auto Clinic: 1.) This is a one-man operation based out of a single stall in a light-industrial space off from Cleveland avenue. Having been in his shop, Derrick seems to be set up to perform most repairs. However, with limited space he may not be able to store your car before or after repairs are performed. 2.) He also offers mobile service. I had him out to look at my car first before bringing it in after it was determined that he would need to get it on a lift. The cost for this mobile service call was pretty minimal (around $30). 3.) He was very responsive in answering my calls and emails. As a one-man operation all calls go directly to him. 4.) All forms of payment are welcome but I get the impression many transactions are cash-based. 5.) His previous business was North Linden Motors. I cannot seem to find any negative (or positive) reviews. I view him to be a trustworthy mechanic. 6.) He was very flexible about doing repairs with parts that I provided. This made life somewhat easier, and likely cheaper. So, as of now a definite 5-star experience. Given the age of my car I am sure I will be going back.

This wouldn't normally be a big deal, but I paid $36 after being quoted for $33. On top of this, I went to another tire shop, Costco, and it turns out, Heath Goodyear didn't even put a plug on the puncture, they only applied a patch and that's why I was seeing a leak. Not only was Heath Goodyear more expensive, Costco is $12 if you're wondering, they also didn't follow standard practice and now I'm paying twice to have my issue fixed. I scheduled my arrival and was pleased that they immediately confirmed and repaired the problem. With over 350k miles i asked him to look over the car for safety concerns while working. Well am i glad he did. the lower ball joints were dangerously loose, and he was not comfortable for the car to be driven. His total price was very reasonable.
