An are not over priced. Too many other maintenance shops are just out to take advantage of you. Mickey runs his shop on honesty. Which is rare these days. He still looks ya in the eye. A lot of other places are all about just making money. An they tell you things are wrong with your vehicle that is not wrong with it. Just recently we had our Black Ford Flex there for service the problem was a fairly simple fix, but someone could have told us that it was a major fix an charged us a bunch of money. Mickey did not he was honest an very fair with us. We have had other work done there that was not a simple fix. A they was very honest and fair with us on the price. I have had the trans in the truck for a little under a year and a half for the last 4 moth is has has small little intermittent issues so sparse that they would be hard to diagnose. currently with right around 30k miles on the trans in a 2500 heavy duty truck that has spent the last year and a half being a work truck hauling fridges microwaves small amounts of timber and an occasional motorcycle in the bed. the trans is bad. there's a issues in the main body somewhere, as well as the super expensive billet tq converter they put in it also took a shit. the truck is a bone stock and might make 250tq. it can't spin the tires if you hold a gun to its head, it's never done a burn out and pulled one aluminum uhaul car trailer with my Lexus on it for a whopping 50 miles. do yourself a favor and save yourself thousands go to a different shop. they don't stand behind their work, and refuse to be accountable for their poor quality work if you want your transmission to shit itself and leave you stranded after a year of driving it take it to this shop they will get you dialed with a transmission that will make your car or truck a unreliable time bomb

At 110K miles I've had one every 5K miles.I've paid an average of $40-$60 over its lifetime but.. never $140. There was no quote online or in person I was ever given, I was in no way expecting $140. I told them this at the counter, and they said they quoted other shops around and they're all there. Ok.. uh no. Regardless I'll never be back. Murphy Mobile Mechanic Service is Excellent and a life saver…read more One day my girlfriend's car didnt start. I thought it was the starter based on what I was hearing. But I wasn't 100%. So my girlfriend was going to take it to a shop and was quoted over a grand. So Instead I looked on yelp and found Murphy's and requested a quote at about 10:50pm on a Friday night. I got a text to my cell phone at 11:02pm just minute's later!! He asked me what I heard and he agreed that it sounded like the starter. He got all the information about the car and said he would contact me in the morning. The very next morning he called me and got the part and was headed over to my apartment to help. He got here quickly and tested to make sure it was the starter before he installed it to save time and money. And got it installed and ready and working perfectly in about 30-40 minutes. He charged us for the part he brought for us and the labor and we ended up paying around 600 bucks when we would have been paying at LEAST twice that at a shop, and we didn't have to worry about towing the car to a shop or anything since he came to us. We were extremely happy and I'd recommend him to anyone. I believe his name was John, If I'm incorrect I'm sorry lol. But he was very good, quick, knowledgeable and convenient.
