AAA was kind enough to temporarily plug the hole and get me on my way, admonishing me to seek a more permanent repair before returning to Pennsylvania. Thursday morning as I was pulling into work, I noticed that the tire was losing air again, giving me a warning light. That morning, I scheduled a repair at Tire Choice on North Memorial in Lancaster. A technician came out to check my tire. He said that the repair couldn't be done as it was closer than an inch from the sidewall. I said that the center of the hole was 1.33 innches from the sidewall ( I had measured it). He said, " Well, that's too close for me and I'm not comfortable." He shrugged and walked away. That was it. No help. It would have been hard for him to care less how I was going to get home to Pennsylvania. I was in trouble; I was desperate. Fortunately, on my way to Tire choice, I remembered passing Katz Tires. I turned my car around and headed south on North Memorial. It was a block or two away. They could not have been kinder. The technician had me pull my car immediately in front of a bay. Two or three of them descended on the car. They applied a soapy mix and found that the repair wasn't producing any bubbles. They pulled the tire off and found that I must have driven too long on the deflating tire and the belts were beginning to show. I needed a replacement to get home. Since I had four new tires waiting for me at home, they provided me a used tire to get home. They saved the day. Bottom line: whereas Tire Choice offered me no assistance in getting home, Katz Tires saved the Day by going the extra mile when it came to providing diagnostics. If you want my opinion, keep driving past Tire Choice to Katz Tires where they will go the extra mile for you and get you safely to your destination..

I was told I couldn't test drive because it had not been detailed yet, and was surrounded by other vehicles. I was assured that I could test drive it before I met the finance guy the next morning. The first red flag was that finance guys had to leave early the next day so if I didn't get it done first thing then in would have to wait another 2 days. The second red flag was they couldn't find the key and told me to start the finance stuff while they searched for the key. The third flag was when the monthly payment was 30$ more than we agreed to. I got up to leave but the GM sorted it out by playing finance magician. I drove the car from the lot and a check engine light came on almost immediately, I turned back into the lot and they pulled the codes and rest it. The codes said the clutch fan was bad and they would take car of it. I came back after it was fixed and drove it home. The check engine light came on the next morning and the Trailblazer (02) sounded like a jet taking off. I drove back to the dealer and they took me outside so I wouldn't make a scene. I was being loud. When they listened to the car they said that was normal and the car is "as is". That was two years ago... since then I have replaced a transmission, complete front end suspension - pretty much twice, plugs and coil packs, wheel bearing hub assembly, neutral safety switch, sway bar links (all of them), u-joint, 4x4 actuator, front end differential housing, countless fuses and wiring harnesses, calipers and rotors oh... and a clutch fan. The car is junk... The dealers are liars. Avoid at all cost. Read the unrecommended reviews as well!!! Update: 1/2015 Car still junk. I hate it and Taylor Chevrolet. This review was not harsh enough.

I'm happy that the small town of Lancaster has a friendly auto dealership and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I took my truck to a shop that does great work but does not build trans, sadly this is the shop…read morethey do a great bit of work with and the end result is that because they said they were good we went with them. they built a trans for my 2500 with a bullet converter, Buncha high end parts, super nice trans that you could tow with no issues. I have had the trans in the truck for a little under a year and a half for the last 4 moth is has has small little intermittent issues so sparse that they would be hard to diagnose. currently with right around 30k miles on the trans in a 2500 heavy duty truck that has spent the last year and a half being a work truck hauling fridges microwaves small amounts of timber and an occasional motorcycle in the bed. the trans is bad. there's a issues in the main body somewhere, as well as the super expensive billet tq converter they put in it also took a shit. the truck is a bone stock and might make 250tq. it can't spin the tires if you hold a gun to its head, it's never done a burn out and pulled one aluminum uhaul car trailer with my Lexus on it for a whopping 50 miles. do yourself a favor and save yourself thousands go to a different shop. they don't stand behind their work, and refuse to be accountable for their poor quality work if you want your transmission to shit itself and leave you stranded after a year of driving it take it to this shop they will get you dialed with a transmission that will make your car or truck a unreliable time bomb

I said you can't just char me these prices after you quoted me and I was financed for that price, she told me she could charge me whatever she wanted! I told her I wanted to cancel my order it had been less than 12 hours and she said she could not do that. The owner told her to give me the tires for the quoted price and I didn't need another alignment. i was very grateful to him. The next week I get my lease agreement and I was charged the extra $100 for the tires. i don't know if this is just a coincidence but three days after g my tires on, my brake light, ABS light and service traction control light are on, on my dashboard. I was charged $500 for 2 size 16 tires and an alignment which was $100.

So I called head to make sure that they had wifi and a spot to work from while I waited on the oil change. I was told yes. So I scheduled an appointment - which was available quite soon and easy to schedule online. I showed up at my scheduled time and my car was taken in for service right away. I was exceptionally pleased to see a woman working the front desk as well as a woman mechanic/technician working on my car. As promised, they did have wifi. However, it was not secure so I was unable to work. Dead in the water, I was happy that the oil change was done quickly and no issues beyond the air and cabin filter needing replacement were noted. I can handle both of those so soon I was on my way. They do have a work area with a coffee machine and TV. It is also located near Costco and other shopping stores at Easton so conceivably - if you had to wait a long time, there were things to keep you entertained. But since I just need secure wifi so I can work - it did not work for me. Not sure what I'll do when my next oil change in needed. Maybe ask the hubby to help me drop it off as it is still the best deal in town. OR if they get secured wifi, I'll happily return and raise the rating to 5 stars.

Back in the spring I needed new tires so I looked to NTB because it was already a familiar store. They had a BOGO deal on tires so I swooped in and made an appointment for purchase and installation. Come to find out 4 weeks later my tires PSI is insanely low and repeatedly every two weeks. I finally brought it in to be inspected (to which I was laughed at "tires naturally get low in the cold weather" YEAH BUT NOT 12 PSI). Low and behold none of my tires were installed correctly and most of my rims were leaking air. Cool. Got it repaired, so i thought. Not so much. It is now very much so the fall and two of my tires are still leaking. Which leads me to this month. I finally had the time to take my car in and get an oil change and get the tires fixed again. Dropped it off during my appointment time, no problem, went to Easton to kill time for an hour and a half or so. Came back over to check on the progress. My car hadn't moved. Apparently they were understaffed and way behind. I mostly understand that but then a) mention it at drop off and b) grey out some of the extra appointments for the day to make sure you properly service the customers you agreed to see. I had zero time left to stay so i canceled and left. Again today, a free evening. Scheduled an appointment. Showed up 40 minutes early because i was in the area and figured"maybe this will help if they are understaffed again". Walk in and say my name... "didn't you get our message? We canceled your appointment for understaffing" -____- No message. One missed call at 5:20 (appointment at 6pm) from an unknown number. Don't know about you but i don't answer those (nor did i see it in time). No VM. Just an absolutely disappointing and stressful last month trying to right their mistake and get a fricken oil change. No more, NTB.

He said he couldn't give me a price until after he looked at the tire to make sure there wasn't a leak from a puncture. Truck goes up on the rack and the tire comes off. Comes back and said it will be $80 to replace the valve stem. I said I think that's a little high I'll go somewhere else. Comes back 5 minutes later and says his employee already started replacing The valve stem so there would be no charge. Oops on his part. Woke up this morning and my tire was flat. Took it to a different shop who found a puncture and leak. Mr Tire never checked for a leak. Just wanted to charge me $80 for the valve stem. Beware of Mr tire.

This is a 1-owner small business, and despite the fact that I'm nowhere near his location-- it's worth the miles to drive here. I've read Sam P's comments, and am certain his story is likely due to a hired employee at the time (no longer there) - you DO realize the difficulty to find and retain good qualified technicians, right? That said: I highly recommend RAC to you for your foreign or domestic vehicles. I'm about to take my 5th one there for needed service. Here's an unusual example, kinda off the regular path: My Ford Van was throwing an error alarm 2 shops were unable to correct. RAC and Richard had it for a cupl days and found of all things; a rusty lock switch in the rear of the rig was causing spurrious signals to be sent to the main processor. Switch fixed...alarm solved.

Nope, then the shop keeps 1 of 4 skid plate bolts and 1 spacer, cross-threads one of 3 remaining. leave another out and this heavy skid-plate teetering on 2 bolts. Contacted customer service (Joke) spoke to store manager... 4 hours later, he made arrangements for me to pick up the bolt and spacer. Had to clean the engine compartment, tap out the thread damage to the frame, and reinstall the skid plate with all 4 bolts out of pocket. These butchers are not who you want to do business with.
