The staff has always seemed honest in their recommendations and willing to suggest practical options that work with your budget, which makes a big difference. The waiting area can get very busy I've seen it completely full at times but it's comfortable enough, with snacks and drinks available for purchase, and the bathrooms have always been clean during my visits. I also appreciate that they make an effort to keep customers informed and contact you promptly once your vehicle is ready. The only downside is that loaner vehicles are never guaranteed, which can be inconvenient depending on the repair. Overall, great service and a trustworthy experience. There is was a rental for a fee!

Review for tire center…read more Contacted them multiple times by email, text, and phone and received no response. We were approached by them during a service by Carl. Carl advertised that they price match so we should do our tires with them. Thought it was a good deal until we brought our car in to get new tires only to find out they don't honor their price match bc they make you add on their "warranty" without choice which other tire shops don't. So you have to add the "warranty" from the other shop and coupons don't apply to get the total price. We already brought our car in at this point and didn't want to hassle bringing it another place, don't got time for that but if they answered one of our communications then we would have known that prior and ended up getting our tires at Discount tires. Even with their buy the 4th tire free, they aren't lower in price. I'd be okay with it if the service was better, but their service is also worse. Moral of story don't get tires here and I'm sure discount tires can do it much faster and they have lower alignment prices too if you need that. I've also had issues with their service center in the past but unfortunately they are the ones with appointments slots available versolus other Toyota centers.

The DIY solutions of drilling into your engine block were out of the question. After calling several places they kept giving me the run around about how difficult a job this was and how super expensive it would be, no place I called even sounded confident they could do it. I reached out to the dealership to inquire about their solution. Luckily, I have a good rapport with the service tech, and he recommended that I reach out to Grafton directly because they are who the dealership uses anyways and they are mobile. I reached out and spoke with Candy, who was awesome. Scheduled a time for them to come to my home in Brea the next day. Steven came to my garage on time and was able to extract the bolt cleaning. I knew I was paying more because I thought I was getting the best service and care for my car. I was wrong. A couple of weeks ago, my Boxster needed a clutch/flywheel replacement so I had it towed to the Porsche dealership for repair. (The clutch would not engage.) Porsche quoted me a ridiculous amount; 60% more than what they initially quoted me a few months prior when my transmission was just beginning to act up. I stopped by Escondido German Auto for a second opinion. (I've read about their excellent reviews on Yelp.) Austin, the service advisor, provided me his best guess of the possible issues, without seeing my car, based on what I described to him about my car's behavior. He sounded credible and was very professional, and he also gave me a more reasonable estimated quote. I was also very impressed by their clean, open service bays. I took a chance and had my car towed from the Porsche dealership to Escondido German Auto. Escondido German Auto did a thorough inspection and a detailed breakdown of the proposed work on my car; way better job than the Porsche dealership ever did. They also discovered a rodent nest and damage to the wiring harness of my car that the Porsche dealership missed. Brandon, the technician, did an outstanding job repairing my clutch/flywheel, documenting (including photos) the rodent issues for my car insurance claim, and cleaning and fixing the rodent damage. Austin, on the other hand, updated me daily regarding the work progress. He was always accessible via email, text, and phone. The job was completed in a timely manner; within a few days of bringing my car in. They even cleaned my car prior to returning it to me. Additionally, they emailed me a copy of my CARFAX report a few days later; unexpectedly. (That was the first time I've seen a CARFAX report of my car.) Overall, I am 100% satisfied with my experience with Escondido German Auto! Customer service, quality of work, professionalism, trustworthiness, and price are unmatched!! They've definitely earned my business and I will no longer be taking my car to the Porsche dealership. My Boxster now runs, sounds, and feels like a new car again, and I can't help but grin each time I get behind the wheel; thanks to Austin and Brandon! They were awesome! My wife will also start bringing her BMW X5 to them instead of the BMW dealership for service.
