I've been bringing bikes to Ronnie for repair for years. I know he works on high-end bikes and offers custom tuning, yet I'm a regular Joe with regular stock bikes. He has done work on my Kawasaki Concours, Suzuki V-Strom, and again just did various mechanical and electrical repairs on my two Suzuki DRZ400's, getting them back up and running nicely after they sat idle for 18 months. I cannot even begin to tell you just how awesome these people are! Ronnie, and the lovely lady who was there (so sorry I forget her name because she was so nice and wonderful but I'm just horrible with names) are people of top notch character. So here's my story: I bought a bike in Irvine and I brought my friend with me to test ride it and check it out for me. This is my first bike and I don't have a license yet, so my buddy rode it back to San Diego for me. When we hit Oceanside, he needed gas so he got off and hit up a gas station. While leaving the gas station, he started to hear a noise, and then, the front brake pads completely fell off the bike! Now, this happened at about 630PM on a Saturday, so I had no idea how we were going to do anything about it. He was comfortable with riding the bike down Coast Highway in hopes of finding a bike shop. We came across Power Performance Perfection and pulled in. The signs on the building said that they were open until 6PM on Saturdays, and here it is, about 645PM. My buddy went in and talked to the lovely lady about what happened and she said that even though they have been closed for a while, there was no way they could let us leave like that. She went and got Ronnie, the owner, and he took a look at the bike. They scrambled for a while trying to find the proper pads, and after a lot of digging in the attic, Ronnie was able to find pads for my bike and installed them. As if they weren't awesome enough to fix my bike a good hour and a half after they had closed, they then only charged me for the labor and not the parts. It's so refreshing to know that there's quality people out there like that, especially when it comes to vehicle maintenance. I usually do motorcycle work myself, but when it comes to tires, I dont have the 10k machine to get it done. So I decided on a Saturday that I wanted to to get them done so I could ride the next day. Called around a few places. Most wanted me to 1 take the wheels off and bring them in or bring the whole bike in and pay the same price to mount them as I bought my tires. It was 2pm. I called Power Performance Perfection. He gave me a great price to bring it in and have him install it. He also installed a sprocket kit for not that much more. He took my bike in at 3 and had it done the same day at 5. If you need work done, call this place. I will be bringing my bike back for anything else big that I don't feel like doing read more

I came back for new tires on my bike. Now, I'm not a knee-dragging, go-pro wearing, wheelie going kind of rider. I mostly ride to commute and I enjoy the road with my bike. So back to Power Performance Perfection, the store was exactly what I remembered it to be. If you're looking for a glitz and glamore kind of shop where they'll sell you everything you don't need then this is not the place for you. It's a hands down bike repair shop. I needed a set of new tires and they didn't exactly have the size I needed for the tires I wanted. That's okay, they don't have a stockroom for every set of tires ever made. They did have a set that will fit, but just a tiny wider. Ronnie told me the pros and cons of having the wider tires and I decided to go with them. A little pricier then I would have liked, but you pay for what you get. He tells me that it'll be done in an hour and I come back in an hour and he is just ready to do a test ride. He comes back and he asks me to hop on the bike. He tells me to sit on the bike and makes several adjustments that'll make life easier for me as I ride. GREAT! I wish I can give 4 and a half stars for this reason alone. After the adjustments were made, the rear brake's switch was depressed and needed to be adjusted too. So the brake lights were stuck on. We didn't catch it and I left the shop not knowing. I later on caught that as I was riding home from work that night. Now the brake wasn't actually on, but it could be a hazard as people will not be able to tell when you are actually braking. Now, they still do quality work and I will come back for any motorcycle servicing. So I do recommend this place just the same. read more

Extremely good work with precision and clear explanation. I extremely much recommend Ronnie. Today was the second time I had brought in my green/white/blue '95 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. The first time I needed a rear tire change, He ordered the tire wich was a uncommon size, within a week he had the tire and it took not even 30 minutes to change the tire. Very fast, Very clean and he explained me when I should change a tire. Today I came in after the bike wouldnt start and I thought I ran out of motoroil. Ronnie then showed me that the motoroil actually wasnt the problem and he explained that there was too much oil in it. He then proceeded to level out my oil for me and replace a O-ring. Very very disappointing after reading his reviews... he charged me 3 hours just to clean brake dust off the real wheel and brake disc!! plus other stuff, including a well overcharged chain which is already rusty. The original assumed price was around 400/500... it ended up being over $1200. My advice... Stay away from Ronnie. I have a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 with over 75,000 miles on it. It had been neglected for a long time and had multiple issues and I was thinking I would need to just buy a new bike. I gave Ronnie a laundry list of everything that I wanted fixed. (Including two items I had previously asked another mechanic to fix.) He ended up tearing the bike apart. He sent me pictures of everything as he went through it with recommendations as to what he felt should be replaced. He also removed additional headlights and an old Garmin system the previous owner had installed. I am so glad I found this shop. He noticed my rear valve stem had dry rot and replaced my valve stem with a new steel unit for only $5.
