Very polite, but charged dealership prices for non-Mercedes (aftermarket parts). Was not advised of this until bill was received. Could have purchased through E-Bay the self same parts for as much as 90% less than what I was charged. Called to notify and was offered 5% off. I was also told all fluids would be checked, but my "check Coolant" warning came on within 20 miles of driving. A week later, a check engine warning came on. my son got a flat tire on Cassidy Street today and we had lug nut that was a lock lug. We asked if they could help us get it off and they said sure have it towed here. The tire had been shredded completely off the rim so we towed my son's BMW to all German auto to Brennan and the crew. There were so nice and totally got the lug off quickly easy and gave us a new lug and put the spare on and we were off. I paid $800 for car repairs, which in fact were not fixed; they refused to accept my claims and asked me to pay them extra again. I had a very unpleasant experience with All German Auto when I took my Daughters 2010 VW Bug for a door repair. After asking for recommendations, They told me that my AC needed recharging and quoted me a high price for the service. However, when I picked up my car, I realized that the AC was working fine after I turned the knob from hot to cold. I also was called by the service writer Brennen who had Thomas the technician get on the phone with me and try to bump me another hour of labor to set the PS window into two clamps in order to finish the job after installing the window motor. I felt misled by the mechanic who tried to take advantage of my knowledge. This place is overpriced, and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place to anyone who values honesty and quality work. read more

They just lost a long-time customer. Below is the email message I sent them directly. "I have been taking my 2005 Mini Cooper S and 2013 Audi A5 convertible since you bought the Oceanside site. Andrew Graham was good because he knew me and my cars. I have been very happy with the service and quality of work...until now.... My son-in-law wanted to help out when he saw the service notification light come on for the Mini Cooper and took it to AGA Oceanside. The lube and oil change was quoted at $165.64. Please understand that the Mini is an extra car and only driven 3,500 miles per year! I don't think the new service manager looked at the history for the car so did not know this. Invoice number 7551351 subsequently ballooned to $8,600! That is more than the car is worth! Did the service manager show my son-in-law the broken parts that were replaced and the "cracked" tires? Now you may think this is great because your service manager made these recommendations (up selling) and received phone approval from my son-in-law, but not the owner of the car, me! So, some charges may have been reasonable and affect safety, but most could have been postponed due to the low miles per year. Did he make suggestions or discuss with my son-in-law that with the low yearly mileage, most could have been deferred like minor leaks or fluid changes at 3,500 miles?? Major complaints are: 1. "All 4 tires showing cracks:" $610 that's $150+ per tire. I could buy that same tire for less than $100 all in. And plenty of good tires on the market are under $100. I always research and buy from tire shops. No one is going to driving the Mini at 120 MPH!! And the car will not last another 40K miles! 2. "Found front brake at 15%, recommend R and R:" What??? At 3,500 miles per year, 15% could easily have lasted another year or two!! $890.30 for rotors and pads did not need to be done! I do not know what happened to All German Auto since Andrew left, but I can guarantee I will never bring the Mini Cooper or my Audi to AGA again. They decided on their own that the fuel pump wasn't the issue, ran unnecessary tests and somehow dropped a fastener into the engine resulting in a broken valve! They completely refused to accept responsibility and the bill (at Eli's European in San Diego) is now approaching $10,000. They turned me over to their insurance who will not even call me back after 25 calls. When Denny owned this shop under the name Konig, it was a little bit pricey, but the work was stellar. Now it appears to have morphed into a den of thieves. The worst thing about this experience was Andy telling me to come pick up the car early Saturday, everything was fixed. I got there and they tried to get me to take an obviously broken car thinking I wouldn't notice! I can understand mistakes, but outright dishonesty is unforgivable. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

In Aug 2022, I brought my A7 in for service at All German Auto due to MIL light on that read code P2007. Service advisor suggested replacing both intake manifolds - one side covered by warranty, and I paid out of pocket for other side ($1943). Note: Invoice did not show any cracks/leaks/whatsoever. Went to pick up my car after it was serviced. MIL light was on again before I drove off the lot. A new code registered - I believe it was either P2753 or P1624. Anyways, service advisor said it was a 'ghost code' and didn't know how to address it - after 4 days of advisor trying to reach Audi for repair suggestions, he suggested I just take it to Audi. The repair/solution was a transmission coolant pump repair (new wiring and plug). In Oct 2022, MIL light on again and it read the same code (P2007) as in Aug 2022. This time they decided to 'smoke' the car and found a leak in brake booster rubber lines. I had to pay another $575 for this repair. So, what truly caused the MIL light on in Aug 2022? Was it the intake manifold or brake booster rubber lines? I don't know. Explanation I received was the lines didn't show cracks/leaks in Aug, but does now as proven with the 'smoke' test. How can advisor determine no cracks/leaks in Aug when a smoke test was done performed then? So, why wasn't the smoke test done in Aug to perform a more thorough diagnostic to identify the source(s) of the MIL light on problem (P2007) as all of this may be contributing factors to the error code? The intake manifolds didn't show cracks/leaks, but yet they were replaced. Puzzling!!! I feel like I was taken for a ride, and possibly had repairs done that was unnecessary. Dave Q read more

Been without my car for about a month now, they were on "Square 1" the entire time, so I ended up taking it to BMW, But not before they charged me almost 750 dollars for a car that barely ran, and that was in worse condition than I dropped it off. Again, not being truthful. Andrew is writing a reply on behalf of Martin! Does Martin know about this? My car was given to drive to a customer whose car was in for repairs in Oceanside. When I asked for my car back on Friday, Andrew told me that it had been on a roadtrip and the "potential buyer" ran into a problem with the transmission while on a roadtrip, and it is over in Escondido now to be looked at, and therefore my car is not in Oceanside. He told me it would be back on Monday, which is wasn't. I drove over to Escondido, and my car was not there, and had not been there! I was then told by Andrew, that my car was picked up by the person "test driving" it and is being brought back to Oceanside. Not true. Andrew didn't have my car and he was making excuses why he doesn't have it. Then I asked him about it being in Escondido, and at that point he changed his story and said he just called them to inquire about a possible transmission problem and actually that there isn't a problem with my car at all. He then told me that he is trying to reach the man who is driving my car and ask him to return it. Well, my car didn't show up until Tuesday late afternoon. I was ready to go to the police and report it stolen! He lied where it was, and he couldn't get it back, so he was stalling me. His comment says that it was not a loaner and it didn't go on a road trip? How does someone "test drive" a car for 1 week and put 1000 miles on it? I think Andrew didn't think I would check up on my car. He also told me that it is "standard" in the industry for people to test drive older cars for several days, and that the man wanted to be sure there aren't any problems with the car??? I asked him that since he is the mechanic, why would the person question his analysis of the car? He didn't have a good excuse for that and changed the subject. Also, my car is not 30 years old! I also have the phone calls recorded that clearly caught everything he is now denying. And answering back in disguise as Martin is again not truthful. Looking at other reviews by other people, there seems to be a string of complaints that point to Andrew being untruthful. Perhaps I will call Martin.
