We moved into this house 10 years ago and I know this gate is probably been around 20 years and someone ran into it and broke the bracket off the arm of the operator. This happens six months ago and I hired another Mobile welder to come fix it and unfortunately it didn't hold. Last Friday called when it broke off to hire a company to come help me fix it. They scheduled the appointment and canceled on me later that afternoon on Friday. And then called Martinez Welding, and on that same day in the afternoon he made a tremendous effort to come see it. Give me an estimate and fix the days later. He was professional, communicated efficiently, and was clean with his position overall project. This deserves a five star rating now I see why he has such a high rating. It's nice to feel like you're not just another paycheck for a company like the one prior that had called. I strongly recommend this company. read more

Jorge did an excellent job fabricating and installing an exterior staircase rail we needed to have put in our backyard. Not the cheapest quote we got, but you get what you pay for and the rail he did for us is practically art - so very fair in my opinion. Would recommend him without hesitation. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Jorge and Martinez Welding during our remodel, and they did an outstanding job. They fabricated and installed both interior and exterior rails--the interior rails were powder-coated in an oil-rubbed bronze finish, and the exterior rails were semi-gloss black and hot-dip galvanized to withstand our coastal climate. Jorge's team also repaired and painted our iron back gate. Throughout the project, Jorge was professional, personable, and delivered exactly what he promised--a rare combination with contractors these days. Highly recommend Martinez Welding for any similar work. Check out the photos to see the quality for yourself. read more

Contacted a few welders from Yelp who had good reviews, experience working with stainless steel, and who didn't mind residential/small jobs. Jorge replied right away to my inquiry and was very responsive about when he would be able to come out and check out what needed to be done. He texted before the appointment time to confirm and also showed up on time. Jorge was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable, and seemed to really listen to what we wanted. (We had bought stainless steel outdoor cabinets for our grill and outdoor prep area, but the grill and side burner we got didn't drop in as seamlessly as another brand would have so we needed some customized pieces to make it look seamless.) Jorge told me when he would have his estimate ready (couple days) and then communicated it to me on time. We found it very reasonable, and he was able to turn around the work fairly quickly and on the promised date. He and his worker came at the promised time, installed the pieces (nicely welded) and checked in with us. Very communicative, punctual, reasonably-priced for custom work, and good quality. So glad to have connected with Jorge Martinez. Another welder who was well-rated on Yelp that we contacted never replied. I followed up with a phone call and text. He acknowledged receipt of both but never responded about the job even when I had said "just let me know if you aren't interested so I know to move on." Really makes a difference to have the added benefit of a contractor who is communicative and manages expectations well like Jorge. Highly recommend. read more

We had Jorge return to install railings for our pool and jacuzzi. Once again he did an incredible job. The new railings are extremely functional and a piece of art! I wanted the railing to go along the edge of the pool and Jacuzzi - not down the steps and into the water. His design is perfect! The new railings also complement the ones he did on the steps/slope, last year. And best of all, Jorge is a delight to work with. I strongly recommend him! read more

Look no further for a welder. This guy is awesome, in every aspect of business. He is punctual, professional, and keeps you informed on every detail of your project and lives up to his promises and expectations. We entertained a few bids to replace our front porch railing. He was the last bid, and all pricing aside- I decided I wanted him to do the job. Then his price was fair and very competitive. Jorge helped with all design and coordinating with the other trades. He delivered on time and on budget. His workmanship is perfect and he's not only a consummate professional, he's truly a heartfelt person and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him! read more

We hired Jorge to repair the work of a guy who installed wrought iron railings in our home about 10 months ago. Jorge was easy to work with, reasonably priced, fast, and did a masterful job. I don't even know if George is aware he has yelp reviews but I don't care I'm going to leave a review regardless. I was frantic trying to find a stair guy that could custom build an iron stair railing. I had reached out to four separate companies (two I never heard back from and one gave me an estimate of $14k) when by some miracle I randomly came across Martinez Welding. Holy crap George is the NICEST guy I've ever spoken with and met. He came out and took measurements, always answered my calls and questions, just the kindest and most professional person I've worked with. The reason for the 4 stars has nothing to do with George but only a matter of design and time. I almost signed a contract with George but didn't because another stair guy was able to come up with design I had been eyeing and install sooner (and would include a temporary railing). With two toddlers I needed stairs installed ASAP and time wise going with the other guy worked better for us. Nonetheless George was phenomenal and priced so well! For any iron work/design I definitely recommend George. read more

George Martinez is a metalwork GOD. He is a craftsman of the highest level, perfect for homes, small businesses or even the largest outdoor living spaces.... his metal pergolas are beautiful. His gates, fabricated by he or his crew on site or off-site, are wondrous. I have seen his work in person and it's beautiful, professional and always topnotch. My first view of his work was a custom-built fountain in front of a fellow BNI member's house, and it was indeed amazing. The curves he created on the metal was spot-on, clean, and awesome. I remain impressed by him and his work and I have recommend him to people I know who have expressed their happiness with his work to me. read more

I normally thought of a welder as someone who is connecting pipes together. After I saw the work that George does I was astonished. George can bend and shape metal in ways I never thought possible. He does beautiful custom gates, railings, and chandeliers. I was at a colleagues house who had a awesome custom wall that had a waterfall effect. I found out that George created the piping on the inside. If you are looking to spice up your home or business give George a call and he can help create your Vision. read more

I recently met George Martinez and had a chance to see his work. George is without a doubt IRON MAN! He is a master craftsman when it comes to bending, turning and shaping iron and steel. Is custom gate work is the envy of the neighborhood. Fountains, railings, bannisters, balconies, he can do it all. Plus he's the nicest guy to work with. We hired George to attach iron balusters we bought to our stairs which was not up to code (has big gap between railings that a small child can slip through). George came on time with his nephew which helped him cutting the balusters while he's doing the welding. The work took 6 hours including spray painting the welded joints. We were satisfied with his work. The only glitch was his nephew cut more baluster than needed so we couldn't return it, but George pointed that out and apologized for that which we appreciated. read more

I called George to repair 2 iron gates around our swimming pool. They are required to be self closing and over the years, they had begun to be misaligned and would no longer close easily. They were starting to come apart at the hinges and were loose where they attached to the stucco of our house. One of the gates had corroded where it went into the cement decking. George came to our home, assessed the problem and was able to fix the gates the following weekend. His work surpassed our expectations. He not only fixed all the problems with the gates, but even painted the areas that he worked on. You couldn't even tell where he had cut the iron and reattached it. The gates now work as if they were new again. His fee was reasonable and fair. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs metalwork done. read more
