My Wife and I decided to go to Cotton Patch for Dinner near us because I saw an email that said they have Dinner Specials running. We both have been busy all day long with our new phones - trying to get them switched over from one carrier to another is not a simple task - they both work but under a temporary number - anyway, back to the food. We arrived at Cotton Patch and their are a number of vehicles in the parking lot, well, okay, Trucks, because this is West Texas and Everyone has a Pick-Up Truck of some kind - and so do we - and that's what we took - 'Bret' - our Maverick. Anyway (once again) - we were greeted by the Hostess and shown to a booth. Veronica is our Server and we looked over the menu trying to decide what to get. They do have a 'Daily Special' running and todays is their 'Blackened Tilapia' for $9.99. They also have their "$12 Classics" with a list of Dinners for you to choose from. Time to order and my Wife is going with one of their Regular Salads; "Strawberry Pecan Salad"; Spring Mix Greens, Fresh Sliced Strawberries, Candied Pecans & Bleu Cheese Crumbles, with Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette. Wife does not want the Bleu Cheese Crumbles. I am ordering from their "$12 Classics"; the "Cheeseburger"; Angus Beef Patty, topped with Fresh Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles & House Spread between a Golden Potato Bun, with Cheddar Cheese (choice). Comes with 2-Sides, chose Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Cream Gravy and Green Beans. Orders are in and Veronica brought over a basket of their Fresh Rolls with butter. We enjoyed those while we waited for our food - and it didn't take long considering how busy they are. My Wife's Salad looks really good and is a Nice Presentation in a Very Deep Bowl - lots of goodies in there. She Loved it all - the Chicken was Very Tastylicious and the Strawberries are Fresh & Sweet - and those Candied Pecans are always SweetlyCrunchylicious. It took her a while but she did eat all of her Salad. My Cheeseburger is kind of on the small size, not near what one would think a Cheeseburger would be - but it does look good - and it was. The Patty is really tasty and the Cheese is nice-n-gooey. Really happy that it came with 2-sides because those Garlic Mashed Potatoes with that Creamy Gravy was some really good stuff. I LOVE It when they leave on the Potato Skin and they do here. The Green Beans are Fresh and cooked right but are somewhat bland in taste - seems to be missing some onion or bacon bits - but I ate'em all because Green-Is-Good for you. Overall it was just enough for the both of us. Veronica was Awesome throughout our stay here and earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'Above & Beyond the Norm' - and she loved it. Cotton Patch Restaurants has always been a pretty good place to get some good cookin' for a reasonable price. Check one out near you. On the way back to the house, my Lovely Wife and I enjoyed another Beautiful Early West Texas Evening. Love You Baby, Bunches & GoingOutMunches.

As a city girl who's moved into this cute small town, I was excited to learn that Cotton Patch has great food and a family feel like Cracker Barrel (minus the toys/storefront). Start your visit with delicious, buttery, soft rolls as you're greeted by your server. So many home-cooked-feeling meals to choose from! I went with some of my favorites for my first experience - and they didn't disappoint. As a date night treat, we tried the Funnel Cake Fries as an appetizer before moving on to our main course. Everything was cooked perfectly and served efficiently. Before we left, we ordered rolls to go! We liked it so much, we brought our visiting family the next week. Definitely adding this to our restaurant rotation list.

The food was great! But the service was ok. They where very understaffed. The food took quite a bit of time

Had never been here before till now. Cool place with great service, fast service. Big menu to pick from. based on this experience alone, it was okay. My plate was a little less than impressive. Turkey was done perfectly, tender, flavorful. Sadly just 2 slices all ya get. The stuffing was average, the gravy was very thick and bland. cranberry sauce was likely canned stuff. The sides I picked were on point. Wifes beef tips and gravy were very good. My kiddos fish was also very tasty and he finished it all. 10% military discounts are available so our 3 meals and drinks were only $46 with tax so not bad. I still gotta try some other dishes next time to get more insight to their plates and menu.

Voyaging down Hwy 87 from West Texas hunger stroke and we decided to make a stop at good ol Cotton Patch Cafe! On a Black Friday afternoon the cafe was rather slow and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was very attentive, made frequent stops and assured our needs were met only a star drops due to the lack of their fluffy and buttery rolls. The food was great started it off with mozzarella sticks for our app and ended with their famous chicken fried chicken plate with macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy. Overall food was good and service was exceptional until next time Cotton Patch Cafe San Angelo!

My Wife isn't feeling well, so I informed her that I will take care of our Dinner for the night…read more Here is what I have planned. We have tried "Texas Steak Express", which happens to be near us. Didn't really care for their Steaks, due to them being a little on the tough side, but they do have Cheeseburgers. My thought was, it's kind of hard to mess up a Cheeseburger, and we are willing to give them another try. We both LOVE Cheeseburgers, and on Mondays they are 'Half-Price,' and that sounds good to me. So, Monday is taken care of, and I can't wait for that Cheeseburger. It was just about time for our run to Texas Steak Express for those 1/2 pound Cheeseburgers they have on Special every Monday between 4 pm and 6 pm. Regular price is $11.49, but on Mondays it's only $5.75. They also come with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles and Mayo, Mustard & Ketchup. Due to this being a Special, they do not come with Lays Potato Chips. Texas Steak Express has no fries, just chips, but they do have a lot on their Menu Board, including Desserts. Anyway, my Wife and I drove over to TSE expecting a lot of people there. We walked in and were the only ones there. Some cars were in the drive-thru picking up their call-in order, but we wanted to place our order inside and pick it up when it's freshly made. Ordered Two Cheeseburger Specials, and the girl said it would be about 25 minutes. The drive-thru is a constant line of cars. About 20 minutes later, they brought out our order in two bags, and we left. Arrived home, opened up the bags, and there was only One Cheeseburger in the bag, with One container of toppings along with the condiments in the other bag. It's also marked in big letters, #25. We are #24. Oops --- I drove back to TSE, walked in, and a lady at the counter stated, "Oh, there he is." I handed her the bag and said, "This is the wrong order." She then said, "Oh, you can keep that. Here is your other Cheeseburger." I was a little stunned. I then said, "But it's cold." She then stated, "Have a nice day", turned around, and left. I mumbled, "So, that's how it is, my, my." This is not good Customer Service. I was hoping for a couple of fresh Cheeseburgers. I left for home, arrived, and my Wife made us a couple of Salads. Opened up the Bags, and these Cheeseburgers are in their own container, carefully wrapped in foil. They are a good size with a nice thick 1/2 pound patty sitting on top of a slice of Cheese. The toppings are in their own container, with a small leaf of Lettuce, four rings of Red Onion, a very thinly sliced Tomato, (you can almost read a newspaper through it), and three nice size Pickles. Not what their picture looks like, but that Patty has a very nice aroma filling the air. I spread condiments and toppings on the Cheeseburger and took my first bite. The 1/2 Pound Patty is not cold, but warm, and the flavor is amazing. You can really tell it's seasoned properly and grilled perfectly. They only do Medium Well and Well Done, nothing else. My Wife and I are both surprised by how tasty this Cheeseburger is, and it's HUGE, a true half-pounder. Just a little disappointed with the amount of toppings they provide. Nancy ate all of her half-pounder, and she normally does not do this. That just shows you how delicious these Cheeseburgers are. They just need to improve their Customer Service. Can't complain too much because the cost is only $5.75 each. That's a Great Deal. And the month of May is National Hamburger Month. Overall, said and done, we will go back and enjoy these Half Pound Cheeseburgers again, but this time, we will eat them in the car when they are Fresh and Hot, right there in the parking lot. Nothing but the best for my Baby. TSE has 6 locations: Abilene, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo (where we live), and two in Lubbock, Texas.
