This photo is of my daughter's cup. The blue oval is to show where the lipstick is.

My family and I, were weary after our travels through College Station. We decided to go eat at Cotton Patch Cafe. NO BREAKFAST despite what Google said. The people here seem very nice so that's good, but the food was mediocre. My chicken fried steak was not as good as I would hope it would have been. My daughter's plate of pasta had some unnecessary amounts of water in it. Also, my daughter found a mysterious lipstick stain on her glass of tea. The twist is that no one in our group wears lipstick. We then had ordered the Dr. Pepper Cake, it was actually pretty good, and that is a first for us here. I will include the photos from our, experience.

Came here for the first time with my family. We were provided with amazing and welcoming customer service. All the staff are friendly and fast. We ordered the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks (both super crispy and delicious), honey bbq chicken tenders (very crispy and flavorful), chicken fried brisket (super tender and the gravy and Dr. Pepper dipping sauce are delicious), chicken fried chicken (crispy, huge, and flavorful), and a cheeseburger (nothing special). I forgot our waitresses name, but she was friendly and fast. There is a lot of parking.

I ordered a child's menu for my nephew. He selected a hamburger with fries and green beans. Ordered to go, I got there before it was ready so it would be hot. Ugh! There was nothing about this meal which was good. The fries were soggy and unsalted so basically tasteless, the green beans were canned beans which tasted salty and icky, the burger had been salted or seasoned and ruined the taste. It was overpowering. For $7.58 it was a total waste of money. If we had been eating there, I would have sent it back. As it was I just threw it away. Don't waste your money! They serve nothing but garbage food here. It's no wonder they Fry everything and then drown it in gravy. High sodium, canned food. I was so disappointed, how could they ruin a burger and fries so badly? Ick and ugh Parking is easy, interior is nice, it is seated table service. Menu is pretty limited. Don't bother coming here. There are tons of other franchise places that serve better food!!

My parents like this place for a few specific things. Most of the food is pretty good comfort food. I've not been inside the place but once and it was ok. I've ordered delivery from them several times for my parents. The only thing I wouldn't do would be to order the steak. It's disappointing. They love the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and broccoli and cheese casserole. I will say that ordering online is very easy and delivery is shockingly fast. They send text messages to let you know when they are going to deliver, and it's been pretty accurate. They don't always knock. Sometimes they just drop it at the door, so the text messages are important.

Get ready for a big review Loved the experience here. Food was so tasty and waiter was very attentive and nice! Cadillac queso- a big queso that's affordable and good to split! Has a kick from the sausage and a strong taste due to the sauce in it. Chips are thick but I liked the combination Rolls- As expected- it's thick, warm, and the right amount of filling. It's complimentary- be sure to ask We tried all the soups!! Baked potato- comes with cheese and bacon on the side. Liked thag a lot. Mine came out cold. It was very flavorful though but tasted not so from scratch. Would give it a good review however! Wish it came warm Tortilla- very hearty and packed with fresh flavor Chicken dumplings- my faaavvvee! Dumplings are warm and melt in your mouth. I'd get a bigger bowl to this warm hug My entree was the garlic herb shrimp with steamed veggies. The veggies were delicious and soft and lovely texture to chew. The shrimp was seasoned very well and taste was harmonious with the seasoned rice. A little bit too much salt though. I'm glad I got to come here. It's a treat! Not too expensive also and it fits the southern comfort vibe college station has

I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." With that look comes upscale prices. You'd think the prices would match the experience but as with most hotel restaurants, they do not. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of food and drink options here and some deliver such as the Pine & Petal cocktail which is as pretty as it is tasty with the hibiscus, pineapple, mint and lime mixed with buffalo trace. And I enjoyed the Walt Blue Jay Pinot Noir which was a generous pour delivered. As for service, it's the definition of inconsistent. When I sat down, they greeted me within a couple minutes and poured my wine immediately and let me sip it in peace. So far so good. But when I finished, they approached and asked me if I'd like another drink which I replied about the Pine & Petal cocktail. They put it in and then the bartenders go to some other guests and chit chat about some contest they are setting up with the soda gun and building some paper boat to float down it with the person building the best paper boat getting a prize. I'm sitting there thinking are they gonna make my drink or do I have to remind them again? So they organize this contest with about 4-5 participants and then crown the winner. As they're celebrating, the bartender comes back and asks me what'd I'd like to order. I'm definitely a bit peeved since this was roughly 15 minutes after I had asked them to make the Pine & Petal cocktail. So mentioned that I ordered that cocktail a while ago. The bartenders realized their error and made the drink and decided not to charge me for it. While I appreciate the no charge, having the attentiveness to make the drink instead of focusing on the paper boat contest would've been more sufficient. Especially given the reviews commenting about customer service. Should I stay at the Stella again, I may venture here to try the other cocktails. But I'll probably just order one and be done with it.
