I am genuinely baffled and how RUDE the girl at the register was. All I wanted was to return my online order and I had everything I needed: the jeans I bought, the confirmation email, and my account on the app. Ignoring my greeting, she with a tone FILLED TO THE BRIM with ATTITUDE, asked me for the card I used to purchase it. I was confused because usually when I do returns, they ask for my barcode from the app so I asked if she meant my app or an email confirmation. Again, rudely, without explaining anything, said NO, CARD. I then took out my card, and told her that I think this is the card I purchased the jeans with and she refused to accept it, telling me to make sure it was the right one or else it will f*** up the system and block my card from it. While I understand her concern, I think I know which card I used and I think there is a more professional way to phrase that. I'm deeply upset and was going to shop around after making the return but decided to leave because of how badly I was treated. Cotton on, if this is the standard of your customer service, I definitely will NOT be shopping here. You lost a loyal customer. Especially this location at the mills. GREAT STAFF, I REALLY LOVED THE ITEMS THEY HAD! MY PINK COTTON TOP IS SO CUTE AND ILL BE COMING BACK! I've seen some of the other reviews, and holy cow! I can only hope there is new staff, because the customer service I received was out of this world. I came to buy my boyfriends nephews some tees for Christmas, and to my Surprise they had a few things for me! I'll be the first to say, I'm picky as hell. Like, REALLY PICKY when it comes to how things fit me, so I was pretty hesitant on buying anything especially when this store is not cheap. Long story longer, I bought 5 shirts for the boys, a pair of pink socks and a pink crop top for myself. When I went to pay all the women were so kind! Asking how my day was, how Xmas shopping is going, if I got to the gym lol just little things that were so nice. Besides that, my 15.00 top ended up being 7.00 I head of 15! This review is for Cotton on kids at Ontario Mills. I was never greeted in the store even though I was only one in there. When I was finally done picking out what I was going to purchase I headed to the line and there were two cashiers there who looked me straight in the eye and continue doing what they were doing. Did not even acknowledge me and that I'm the only one standing there trying to pay. After a few minutes of them folding clothes on the register, I finally said are you going to ring me up or just look at me? They literally acted like I was invisible and when ringing me up the only words exchanged was the price of what I owed them for my purchase. By far the worst customer service I've ever had. Beware!!!! very rude manager and staffs. I barely write the review unless is it out of ordinary. We were there with friends on Sunday night. I brought my 2 teenager age 13 and 14 years old. We were in the line to get in but after waiting for a while we got in, my hubby in the restroom at that time. After be there for a while my daughters ready to check out. My hubby waiting outside, so I told my daughter to called him and she asked the permission to staff that holding the line outside if her dad can get in and pay for her. They still have a line so my friend hubby inside go out so my hubby can get in. The staff agree to let my hubby in but when my hubby get in a few step inside out of the blue the manager storming from the middle of the store to yell and intimidate my 14 years old daughter, she told her is not right to let her dad in while there is a line outside. She said unless one of our group wait outside and she started to point of my 13 years old daughter that's stand next to her to go out. We explain it to her that first the staff holding the line let my hubby in because he need to pay for it, secondly we told her one of our man in the group already went outside. I told her what the heck she thinking to asked my 13 years old outside by herself without supervision????? She didn't want to listen. My 14 years old so scare with her rude words she almost want to cry and traumatized. Later on the other 2 staffs next to her gang up upon me to defending their manager and told me not to be rude. They don't even hear that the manager the one that started. Don't they got training to treat customer who wants to pay with respect but not traumatized under age children without even know the situation? To make it even worst they said I was yelling at her, she started first. I would never tolerate someone so rude with my daughters!!! Then they said they want to call the security to kick us out. This place has great deals, although, with COVID hours they close at 7pm now. I show up a little too close to closing I arrived at 6:40 and they had it all locked up already. I look at my watch and said don't yall close at 7? And response was "we have to close registers at 7" like what? I kid you not I did the same thing a week prior and they had the gate halfway closed still letting people in until 7. Crazy how young employees can just make big decisions for a well known company to close up early probably because they have plans or just want to clean fast and go home. I wanted to try on some leggings, but there was a clothes rack blocking the walkway. I waited by the registers for an employee to help me. He said I couldn't try on any clothes. I thought he was kidding. So, I asked why. He said they close the fitting rooms 30 minutes before closing. It was 8:20 pm on a Saturday night. I'm thinking the employees are lazy to do their job or management does not give them time to close the store after the mall closes. Keep in mind that there weren't many clothes that needed folding and to be put back in its place. I don't know how they maintain a business if this is an actual Cotton On policy. read more

Every time I go they treat me rude I wait in line there's 2 lines then I go and wait and they say when it's my turn on sorry the line is the other one the cashier Chinese lady that's 2 times it happened but I keep on going thinking it will be different all the time but no I'll try to find another one.if I could give it a zero I would love the clothes but it's not worth getting treated like that. Sale section is BIG!!!! There were tons of signs all over the place stating $10 sales and $5 sales everywhere. I started to quickly gather a few dresses that I had been eyeing for a while now for a low price of $10. When I went up to pay, the cashier surprised me by saying that everything in the sale section was now also an additional 30% off!! OH WHAT THE HECK!! SCOOOORRRREEE so I totally went back and gather another large selection of clothes that was on sale! Gosh that totally made my day!! I bought a few high low dresses for less than 10 bucks, a sweater also for less than 10 bucks and even a button up shirt for Wilson. Wow did that make my day! All my favorite pairs of sweatpants were bought at Cotton On. They regularly have good deals and a relatively large clearance section so I hardly ever buy anything at full price. The store itself is pretty small (especially compared to the massive Forever 21 just across from it) so the selection might feel a little limited, but I find something to buy almost every visit. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in any department store. I read the other reviews and i found there was a trend with a female asian worker being rude and disrespectful. Says a lot about this young lady, right? Well, me and my family had our awful experience with her this time around. Surprised she's still allowed to represent Cotton On. Not only has she given us attitude, she also gave us a condescending tone of voice. She acted immature and snobbish at the register, and failed to assist us in finding certain sizes. I love this store, especially the graphic tees they have. New styles come out so often, and sale things are CHEAP! I got several shirts for $5 and they were great, pretty and comfy at the same time. Their scarves are cheap too. The store associates are nice, but their accessories (jewelry, notebooks, and wallets) area is a bit messy, but they are so cheap! I love this store. They have a very nice selection of cheap clothing, though the one in Victoria Gardens is cleaner. This one has lots of sales while the other one is so simple & pretty expensive for simple clothing. The shirt I purchased had a stain on it. Went back to see if I could exchange it. The sales associate said they had none left. I found one sitting on a mannequin. I asked the associate if I could see it and possibly exchange it if it was my size. Great prices! Great styles! Amazing service. I purchased a hoodie without making sure it fit so I went home and took the tags off. I didn't like how it fit on me so I went back to return it with the hopes that having the receipt would help as well as the tags (removed from the hoodie).
